It just dawned on me that what Twice really is right now is 11 different acts in one trench coat. You've got the 9 members as a singular act with their own projects, ambitions, and goals. 4 of these members have become solo artists who potentially want more musical projects in the future and perhaps even things like solo concerts or even a tour. As the years go by, the other 5 members might want to do solo albums too. We also have one actress right now and a potential second one coming next year. Other members have also expressed interest in that. Then there's the smatterings of youtube shows and endorsements. You've also got MiSaMo as a sub-unit. So far, they have had one release a year since their debut plus a tour in Japan. They have also done OSTs in the past years. MiSaMo as a project goes on top the solo activities of the members. Finally, you have Twice the group. As of now, there seems to be 2 non-negotiables: a Korean release and a Japanese release each year. They have also toured each year as well as various other group performances like award shows or festivals. Their tours can take more than a year for completion between each round. We also have stuff like Time to Twice and other promotional activities. Listing all of that, I am frankly extremely amazed at the sheer efficiency and productivity of their division. They went from handling one act to eleven in just a few years. All the members have some sort solo activity now whether that be solo music, endorsements, acting, or hosting. Twice is also very much an active group and their activities seem to only grow larger in scale every year. STRIDE (the Twice division name) is obviously not perfect, but I gotta say, they seem to have done a really good job managing the girls so far. submitted by /u/BlueThePineapple [link] [comments]
In about 1 hour KST (Sept 4th) is our group's 2nd debut anniversary and instead of hyping it up, the posts getting the most traction are the ones about the former member. I love him, I've been streaming his solo debut, I've been liking posts of him being sus with his dancer friend, but you guys need to give it a rest. He was not even in the group for 2 months. HE'S REDEBUTED. And you still won't let it go. At this point just stop calling yourselves Briize. I'm tired of seeing your flagrant hypocrisy on my TL. If all you care about is getting that guy back, then you don't care about the group OR giving them justice-- you only care abt the sunk cost fallacy of all the energy you'e wasted for this cause. This K-Pop shit was never supposed to be this deep, let us actual fans enjoy our idols anniversary in peace, I'm BEGGING you. (Note: I'm not writing the former member's name bc I want to avoid the searches for him including this rant. He's suffered enough) submitted by /u/Unsincerity [link] [comments]
A few boy groups from 5th gen have surpassed 1 million album sales within a week. In contrast, no girl groups from 5th gen have achieved this milestone. Among 4th gen girl groups, only a few have crossed the 1 million sales mark. As a girl group stan, I find this very sad. How did boy groups who are 2 years old or younger manage to get over 1 million sales while only a few 4th gen girl groups got over 1 million album sales? Twice is a 3rd gen girl group and are almost 10 years old but they only got 600K+ sales. submitted by /u/cyberstacked [link] [comments]
Rules: • You can comment on the same idol more than once, but only the comment with the most upvotes will count. For example, if there are many comments for Idol A with 1 upvote each, but one comment for Idol B has more upvotes, then Idol B wins. • Comments that mention more than one idol will be disqualified submitted by /u/ConnectionOk8413 [link] [comments]

I have missed so much. Even though I’ve been watching their content religiously trying to catch up, it’s just not the same 😭 submitted by /u/No_Attitude_971 [link] [comments]
im a die hard moa almost since debut!! they are the group that really got me into kpop tbh, since i mostly only listen to like metal and screamo. but i enjoyed their music sm and loved being in the fandom, that i wanted to explore more groups. something that i really liked about kpop was the fandom aspect, you dont really have that with a lot of other music genres. at least not to the same extent. so i made a stantwt acc but i couldnt help but get turned off from getting into other groups cause of the way other fandoms treated tubatu. ik i shouldnt care, its about the music and the members but it just turned me away so much, that i cant really enjoy most other kpop groups. not really a rant but its kind of sad that these fandoms will go at your faves to the point you associate some groups with these bad feelings. id rather stick to my screamo bands and tubatu only from now on 😭 submitted by /u/hauntedmoth [link] [comments]
Well family friendly except railway, escape and taste 🤣🤣 i am new to k pop and i just love the stray kids. They’re like my religion currently. My husband and kids all love them. We watch skz code, the funny YouTube compilations, music videos, interviews, etc. we can’t get enough. And then the 0801 music video had me in tears! I have tried to listen to other groups but i just don’t get the same vibes. P1harmony, keeho is funny but too cocky for me, maybe it’s the gen z in him lol, enhypen’s chemistry is just not the same as skz but they are pretty cute. Ateez is…. Eh idk. I like their in your fantasy song but j just can’t get into them. Something about stray kids… they come off as a brotherhood with genuine chemistry. They feel like a warm hug. Idk. Are there any other groups out there that are similar? submitted by /u/No_Attitude_971 [link] [comments]

WARNING : SPOILERS FROM KPOPPED. This is coming from my reaction to watching the first season of the show kpopped and how some western artists act like kpop idols are not worthy of respect. I've only watched a few episodes, really the ones with the groups that interested me, but so far there have been two incidences where there was disrespect. For the most part the western artist totally respected the idols and fully engaged with what they had for there segment of the show, but you had artist like J balvin absolutely disrespecting the hell out of ATEEZ and Vanilla Ice disrespecting Kepler. I'm not fully familiar with what happens with Kepler, but with Ateez they were trying to get j balvin to do a small dance for their performance and he had the audacity to be on his phone and act uninterested. It got to a point where the members had to ask if he was ok multiple times. When their episode ended and they sang bouncy, only Kylie minogue sang along with them and tried to engage while j balvin stood around half smiling and once again not engaging. Ateez took the time to even learn Spanish for HIS song but he couldn't have the energy to do a simple dance or pretend to sing their song. When ATINY were talking about his rudeness online you had a lot of Spanish speaking defenders making excuses for him saying " oh well he's 40 " , " he hasn't danced before " , " oh his type of music doesn't require dancing like Ateez does " , and " maybe he has anxiety and didn't know how to act " yet all the other western artist who came put in at least SOME effort, some who are even older than him. Some western artist truly think that just because they're kpop idols that they aren't actually true artist and don't deserve to be in the same music sphere as them. Especially if the idol doesn't speak English that well. submitted by /u/MochaMilku [link] [comments]
Won't talk about talent bcz that's beyond us.. but boy I felt like a unambitious soul after watching those kids. It was motivational... Respect. I realised a lot go behind three minute song we listen. Like I would think twice before before criticising a release. I remember feeling the same when I watched iland... That jay scene of part distribution.. and the TXT ++line series.. Also somewhere my life felt a lot easier somehow idk .. submitted by /u/_Lilac_Swan_ [link] [comments]
