46. Ok but why does I see you by Tyler Shaw remind me of Sulli and hwansung at the same time

  • 9 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I’ve been thinking about this for a little while now. Like when I heard “you lost your voice when you asked for help” reminds me of Sulli, and “your don’t see what I see, beautiful in front of me” reminds me of hwansung.and overall it just reminds me of them both in general submitted by /u/AstridsWorld09 [link] [comments]

47. Oh My Girl has middling popularity and a silent fanbase. Now which K-pop artist has niche popularity and a silent fanbase?

  • 9 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Honorable mentions go out to WJSN, APink, Mamamoo, and Epik High, Rules: You will have approximately 24 hours to vote. I'd prefer it if you mention one artist per comment and that the artist in question had a "silent fanbase" during their peak. The table of far: Row 1: BTS, Loona, Dreamcatcher Row 2: IVE, STAYC, KARD Row 3: IU, Oh My Girl submitted by /u/VigilMuck [link] [comments]

48. I can’t believe this Bang Chan interaction isn’t viral

  • 10 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

’ll leave a short summary in the first comment for those who don’t like long posts 🙈, but I NEED to get this off my chest because I’m honestly OBSESSED with this video. Most of you probably saw on Twitter the hug Bang Chan gave to an Italian girl in Madrid (who later turned out to be a boycotter). That one went viral, but honestly, that hug felt cold and pure fanservice: very little eye contact, kind of mechanical, forced smile, and his body didn’t even turn fully toward her. But there’s ANOTHER hug, the one that spread more on TikTok/Instagram (with a fan named Erika), and for me it’s the most genuine interaction I’ve ever seen from Chan with a fan. I don’t get why it hasn’t blown up more, because it’s honestly the sweetest thing. Why do I say this? Because I’ve analyzed it through body language and non-verbal communication (I’m a psychologist and this is my thing 😅), and this video is full of tiny gestures that make it so clear it was natural and genuine. 1. Among many fans asking for water, he focuses only on her, points at her and throws water just to her. 2. He keeps watching her reaction while smiling (which he normally doesn’t do, he usually just sprays and moves on). 3.He takes a step back, comes down from the stage, never breaking eye contact with her. 4. He opens his arms, ignoring the fact that she nervously extends her hand (thinking he’d just shake it). 5. He fully wraps his right arm around her and leans his body into her (important detail: he moves toward the fan, not the other way around). 6. With his left hand he also grabs her arm, reinforcing the contact. 7. Another fan tries to pull his arm away, but he insists and still hugs her close. 8. When he pulls back, he doesn’t just leave like usual—he’s still smiling, holding her arm and keeping eye contact while moving away. From a psychology/body language perspective, this kind of behavior shows comfort, spontaneity, and a real instant connection. I’m not saying “romantic connection,” but clearly something about her stood out to him and made him want to prolong the interaction. That’s why it shocks me that this video isn’t way more viral. Every STAY should see it—it gives us hope that these genuines interactions can actually happen! I even thought about making a TikTok comparing the two hugs (the “fanservice” one vs. this one), because the difference is so obvious. But I’m worried the girl might get hate (I already saw some negative comments on her video, which makes no sense because literally ALL of us would have loved to be in her place). Anyway, I’m obsessed. From a body language point of view, this video is gold and I had to share it with you all 🥹. submitted by /u/lynnxry [link] [comments]

49. Made a gg tierlist based on how many times I've listened to them (since 2024)

  • 10 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I started using lastfm to track my music listening habits in 2024, so I made a tier list that directly ranks groups by how many times I've listened to them since. Each tier is ordered, and I didn't include groups with less than 10 listens. Honorable mentions to Irene and Seulgi, and UAU, with 318 and 177 listens respectfully. submitted by /u/FormerPride3202 [link] [comments]

51. [iOS] Testing a K-pop comeback tracking app - looking for feedback from the community!

  • 10 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Hey r/kpoppers! I've been working on an app to help track K-pop comebacks and releases because I wanted one simple centralized place to track multiple upcoming releases. What it does: Track upcoming comebacks with countdown timers Vote for most anticipated releases in weekly rankings Set up your K-pop profile with your bias and stan list Why I'm posting: I want to see if this is actually useful to K-pop fans or if I'm building something nobody wants. Also looking for feedback on what features might be missing. How to test (iOS only): Download the "TestFlight" app from the App Store (it's Apple's beta testing platform) Open this link on your phone: https://testflight.apple.com/join/1MF1PEFS Install and test the app You can leave feedback directly in TestFlight or comment here Important: This is just a beta with sample data for testing - not real comeback info yet. Just want to validate the concept before building it out properly. Main questions: Would you actually use this daily? What features am I missing? What would make this genuinely helpful for K-pop fans? Any honest feedback (good or bad) would be super helpful! submitted by /u/Vegetable_Exam_6682 [link] [comments]

52. How popular actually is K-pop in Europe and the Middle East?

  • 10 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Hi guys, As a older millennial Korean American (I'm 32 years old) who is slowly getting into K-pop and Hallyu culture, I think it's pretty cool to see Korean culture rise to global popularity especially outside of Asia in the last decade. When I was in College in the early 2010s, K-pop was just coming out and was not as popular in the world as it is today. I think it also kinda makes Korean guys in general look cool too haha, which I appreciate low key ;) Anyways, if you are from Europe or the Middle East, or lived and visited there, how actually popular is K-pop in those regions? And Hallyu culture in general (i guess including K-dramas too)? Particularly curious among the Gen Z demographic submitted by /u/SSkeeup [link] [comments]

54. What's a song that holds meaning to you but ISN'T your favourite song from the group?

  • 11 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

For me, it's BTOB's "Love Today" The BToday album was my first comeback with them and I like to think that it came in with what I needed the most at the time—loving myself as I am Sure, there are thousands of songs by other artists that have the same message but it hits different when it's an artist that you find yourself falling deeper in. That said, it's not my favourite song because I'm aware of how...generic? It kind of sounds. It's just not to my taste, even if meant something to me. I just prefer their other songs like Higher, Please Stay or Wind and Wish (That doesn't mean I dislike it entirely, it somehow hits different when performed live with the fanchant...) submitted by /u/Hirizu [link] [comments]

59. Why I think skz has aged better than txt

  • 12 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Disclaimer: this is an opinion and ik alot of k pop idol worshippers who tend to get offended over opinions on groups/music they favour so if this post somehow offends you, move on To start iv been listening to skz and txt both for a few years now since 2021, the reason I stopped listening to txt mainly is due to the new music they put out There new tracks just dont seem like there that great or as good as they used to be, they all kinda sound a bit too repetitive/similar and I feel that happy/exciting type of feeling they're old songs gave out now doesn't exist with their new songs Loser lover, ox1, magic, tinnitus, thursdays child, crown, 9 and three quarters, blue hour all of these old songs for some reason just sounded really upbeat and more exciting I have listened to their new episodes/albums and they honestly dont hit the same as their older songs, now skz on the other hand I feel that they have kept their same type of style or music type in alot of their tracks without making it sound repetitive. For example they just dropped creed and idk why it sounds so similar to their songs like n/s, same with other songs like s class or topline they kinda resonate more towards their songs like domino, etc Honestly I just think skz for me has just kept their same type of music style/flow which makes me think they have out done txt throughout the past 2 years. submitted by /u/Worldly_Finger_1450 [link] [comments]

61. y’all are doing way too much over cortis

  • 12 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Cortis will most definitely not be calling you “noona” when you’re not even korean. Literally so many 5th gen groups have 08 and 09 liners but yall act like cortis are the fetuses of kpop. If you’re 20 and think Juhoon is handsome that’s okay because his facecard is tea, but why are we making their age your whole personality…You should not feel uncomfortable to stan a group with young people if you’re just their for the music and the music only…yall be having these weird thoughts and it really shows. Now do I think young people should debut in kpop, ABSOLUTELY NOT, but has it been this way since kpop began, unfortunately yes. submitted by /u/Illustrious_End2319 [link] [comments]

63. I don’t get the assumptions about Enhypen :(

  • 13 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I will start that I’m a hard multistan, but Enhypen is my one of my ults. I was a soft stan from the time of their debut, so I guess I never really heard outside opinions about them. However, I’m very surprised how they are viewed by the Kpop Stan world. I see all the time that they give off cold vibes and don’t even look like they like each other or fans… what?? I’m honestly shocked because those boys are trauma bonded by i-land! They are a little different from some other groups because they don’t show their affection through skin ship. That might be the misconception. However, once you get into the group you find out most of them are just lovable introverted dorks. They are also some of the hardest working performers I’ve ever seen. I’ve had the pleasure of seeing them in concert twice now, and it’s been incredible each time. Their music is amazing. If you’ve never listened to them or have only listened to title tracks, go listen to Chaconne and Criminal Love. Anyway, I don’t blame anyone if kpop twitter has made you believe things that aren’t true. However, if you are seeing this post go and give Enhypen a listen. submitted by /u/didyouseemymagg [link] [comments]
