We all have one — the take that gets side-eyes in other subs or starts arguments in group chats 😅 Mine? Not every group needs to have a "storyline" or universe. Sometimes I just want music, not lore with 17 timelines and webtoons. Now you: What’s the K-pop opinion you’ll defend to the end, no matter how unpopular it is? submitted by /u/Itsjustonyx [link] [comments]
With instagram now rolling out their subscription service for no ads in the EU i'm planning to delete that app asap. I saw how it went with Twitter (only getting ads and tweets from ppl you're not interested in or don't even follow, and barely even seeing stuff from ppl you do follow. comments sections full of ads and bots) and I can just imagine the same will happen with Instagram now. In fact, it has already started going downhill a while ago. I have already deleted Twitter a month ago. Social Media was literally my main media to get information about comebacks and concert announcements from my favorite groups for years. Now that I will definitely say goodbye to Instagram as well, HOW THE HELL am I supposed to be updated about comebacks and stuff now?! Where do the companies/groups post about comebacks and tours that's not social media? Do they have a website they keep updated, an e-mail newsletter service or something?! Anything??? submitted by /u/idontwantsocialmedia [link] [comments]
Honestly kep1er I haven’t seen being mistreated but the lack of proper care and no marketing with how popular they could’ve been! It’s always the survival show groups tbh First is CLASS:y (formed through mnet in my teenage idol), bae173 (same company so… we know mnet subsidiaries are MOSTLY poop), Hyungseo from class:y, and lastly Kep1er (formed through girls planet 999, horrible survival show but great group just not being used to their fullest, but it’s wakeone so they only focus on the boy group). submitted by /u/Happy-Flight-4810 [link] [comments]

First one is Dongpyo from Mirae (one of my favorite groups), Harua from &team (also one of my favs), and lastly Sunoo from enhypen (one of my favs also…)… with every boy group I Stan they HAVE to have a baby girl I’m so sorry submitted by /u/Happy-Flight-4810 [link] [comments]

I have noticed lately that on instagram and twitter (X) I get a lot of posts concerning groups I don’t Stan. I keep blocking the accounts and saying “not interested” but specific communities and group reoccur on my TL. I don’t do this out hate. I am simply not interested in seeing fandom specific posts about groups I don’t listen to. Most of the groups I see posts of come from a certain company, and no matter what I do to avoid it they always come back. What is even more annoying is the only K-pop group I Stan, I barely get to see their posts, although I follow a lot of accounts and interact with the posts in a positive way. This leads me to believe that a company pays the socmeds to push them in the algorithm. And I think it is not only used in K-pop but politics and for other western artists as well. What makes me think that now K-pop accounts are run by bots is as well the amount of targeted hate towards certain groups and the fact that all the comments toward them are repeating. All of them got thousands and thousands of likes. And yes, maybe people are discontent, but it’s really strange that it’s the two same phrases used to criticize the group that are under every video. I think also some more prominent accounts are paid to criticize them in a funny way. I am not saying it to defend it. I do not Stan this particular group and have nothing against them. I don’t care about the hate or the positive but I am constantly shown hate videos although I do not interact with them. I wonder if anyone else has noticed this or maybe my algorithm and screen time is so high I notice it. But man, I go into these socials to see my favorite group not some fanwars 😭 submitted by /u/Umgtk1340 [link] [comments]

You get attacked for having “bad visuals”, so you get plastic surgery. You are now being attacked for plastic surgery. There’s really no winning here This is about an idol [but can apply to idols in general]who had obvious plastic surgery done, it was after their debut so the change was very clear. But after, i feel like is constantly brought up from non-fans. Every tiktok video they post all the comments are “why do they look so different”, “shoutout to their plastic surgeon”, like extremely backhanded. All people talk about is the how idols get plastic surgery, but not WHY. This specific idol im talking about had literal articles about their “bad” visuals, and massive hate trains JUST FOR THEIR VISUALS!! If people are constantly dragging you for visuals, and you live in a PS friendly country, wouldn’t you also consider it? Kpop fans will claim they only care about talent, but will continue to make idols feel they need to change because an idol isn’t appealing to them personally. (if u know the idol im talking about, please dont share since it’ll just bring more attention, thus my rant lol) Another thing is, why continue to talk about the PS if it has already happened? There’s not anything that can be done about it, and all it does is bring negative attention, even if not on purpose. It was most likely personal choice by the idol that made them feel better and confident about themselves. At the end of the day idols are performers, singers, and dancers, so why should the topic of visuals be able to ruin a career? submitted by /u/Soft-Breadfruit6483 [link] [comments]
Ok we all know kpop is heading towards its 2 minute song era with no bridge. That had me thinking what are some songs where it just wouldn’t be the same without the bridge? submitted by /u/AdEmergency6619 [link] [comments]
