First, I want to state that I love kpop with all my heart and maybe it’s the new genre of music that I don’t like. My personal opinion is the industry is extremely oversaturated right now with so many groups debuting with one main company (HYBE) debuting the successful ones and groups from smaller companies are barely discovered. No matter how you may argue against my opinion can you change my mind on it. I truly do want to get back into kpop but with the changes and focus on appearance rather than music, I feel as if kpop has lost its spark. Sure, the trends in music have changed but every group just seems like a copy of each other. KIOF was probably the only newer group that was hitting the spots for me until their racism scandal against the Latino and Black community. Is there anything you guys could recommend me such as 5th gen groups that have a newer fresh spark? submitted by /u/ProgrammerElegant875 [link] [comments]

I was watching the Gabriela performance and I noticed that on Daniela’s part, the other members get on all fours and arch their backs and then spread their legs. I just think it’s so strange, especially for Yoonchae because she’s 17. it’s so weird and creepy that the choreographers willingly put this part in the dance knowing there’s a 17 year old. submitted by /u/whodatwhodatgirl [link] [comments]
As someone from SEA, I find it baffling how SEA fans constantly support K-pop idols and actors who have been rightfully cancelled due to sexual crimes, misogyny, etc. It’s come to a point where so many of these people just fly to SEA and restart their careers with many of their fans mostly comprising of SEA fans. It seems like this double standard doesn’t just carry on with famous idols but with Korean ppl in general, especially with the recent news story of the Korean man who impregnated a Filipino teenager. I don’t understand this behavior and find it so frustrating. Can anyone explain where people are coming from or is it purely delusion on their “oppas” liking them back? submitted by /u/Internal-Window1936 [link] [comments]
all I can say is the audacity😐 submitted by /u/cuntseok [link] [comments]
I know it's different for each kpop idol/group. But just in general? I know most kpop idols initially have a debt due to the training. I'm guessing their agencies pay for venues and stuff. Does it take a year or so generally? submitted by /u/bobbdac7894 [link] [comments]

I really new to K-pop and I’ve never posted here before, so if I’m doing this wrong or if I’m not supposed to put this here, just let me know and I can delete it. So, like I said, I’ve never really dived into K-pop before, but I found cherry bomb by nct 127 by chance and that rap section goes crazy hard. I’m desperate for more. Does anyone have any recommendations for K-pop songs/groups/etc that rap like that? I also think I’d like songs that are generally high energy with addictive hooks, so would Is happily take any recommendations for stuff like that too. Thank you! submitted by /u/Small-Peach6759 [link] [comments]
There's a part in the choreo where Wumuti sits on Hyuns leg and it's been censored multiple times. This is water fest where the camera panned to the other two members during that part but they're not the focus of the choreo then. submitted by /u/xlov_mother_muti [link] [comments]

So here's the rules Any gen is allowed Only members who aren't from the big 4 (SM, JYP, Hyde, and YG) Only one member per group Please only nominate one person and try to just upvote instead of putting the same idol multiple times Roughly 24 hours voting but I have a job so it won't be perf, sorry submitted by /u/xlov_mother_muti [link] [comments]

What KPOP groups do you think could build a cult-like fandom? Or which member of a KPOP group do you think has/might have that? (obsessive, ritualistic, sensitive fanatics) One of the most obvious answer could be BTS but I want to know other answers. submitted by /u/Tricky-Challenge6366 [link] [comments]
I’ve been a kpop stan for a long time now, I’m currently really into BigBang and the members’ solo music and content. Through GD’s show Good Day, it was pretty much my first actual exposure to the group Seventeen via BSS. They were so funny and charismatic and I somehow ended up coming across a lot of SVT content on my social medias to the point that I already know and can identify half of the members by name. Now I’m not opposed to listening to their music, honestly I’ll likely end up listening to their discography eventually, but right now I just really enjoy watching their group content. This same situation has happened to me before with Jackson Wang, I absolutely love him as an individual but I’ve never really listened to his or GOT7’s music aside from songs I happened to listened to on the radio. Has anyone else been in this situation? I don’t think I’ve ever come across anyone that stans a kpop artist for their content and not their music lol 😅 submitted by /u/Fancy_Breads [link] [comments]
Okay I know this is probably really random but I watched bang chans live from the other night and im happy that he was setting boundaries with all of the crazy “fans” that there have been recently but after hearing him it literally made me so upset that I don’t even want to be a part of that fandom anymore. I literally don’t want to be associated with STAY because it’s lowkey embarrassing at this point. Idk if I need to step back and take a break from K-pop or what cause I love stray kids so much but the fandom is honestly really ruining it for me. I don’t understand why people just can’t act normal. submitted by /u/Sydneyruthhh88 [link] [comments]
I still can't believe it. They were one of my favourite groups and I also saw them live. I can't help but think RBW did them dirty not capitalizing on momentum gained from Zombie and Sweet Juice. Insanely talented group with a fantastic discography, they will be missed dearly 😭 It sucks personally for me as that's now two groups I've stanned that have been hit with the disband hammer recently, the first of which was Loossemble. I'm... just so sad rn 😞 Official article: https://purplekiss.co.kr/community/board/63563c9c60351124ac4aeb29/post/68902231b582593cac5764b0 Translation from DeepL taken from Purple Kiss sub: Hello. This is RBW. First of all, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to all of you, Plory, for your continued support of PURPLE KISS. We would like to make an official statement about the group activities and future plans of PURPLE KISS. First and foremost, we apologize for the short notice. This November, Purple Kiss will be ending its group activities. As much as we care deeply about the group, we and our members have had long and serious discussions about how we envision our future. As a result, we have come to a conclusion that we respect each other's opinions and support each other's dreams. Although the group's activities are coming to an end, we plan to continue with our planned activities to repay the support and love we've received so far. Moving forward, Purple Kiss will be with you for the rest of the year, starting with the English album release in late August, followed by Japanese promotions, a tour of the Americas, and a concert in Korea. We've shared countless moments with Purple Kiss over the years, and we'd like to thank the six members for all their hard work and dedication. There were days that were clumsy and imperfect, but every moment could shine thanks to the members who shared their passion with us and Plory who always cheered us on from the same spot. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to Plory who have always loved Purple Kiss with their affectionate gaze. Thank you. submitted by /u/FanCaracal [link] [comments]
