I’ve always admired Krystal Jung (f(x)) for her quiet elegance and the way she carries herself. She’s not loud or attention-seeking, but she owns every room she walks into. Even during her public relationship with Kai, she never felt like “Kai’s girlfriend” she was just Krystal, doing her thing. She has this calm, unbothered aura. She’s stylish, composed, and seems very secure in herself. She doesn’t overshare, doesn’t chase validation, and you can tell her life never centered around men or being seen as desirable for them. That’s the energy I’m talking about decentering men. Any celebs (K-pop or Western) that give you the same vibe? submitted by /u/Business-Scheme532 [link] [comments]

An article reports that Kris Wu and his mother are now under scrutiny in China for tax evasion. Kris Wu may owe the equivalent of US$42 million, according to news sources. If found guilty, additional time could be added to his 13 year prison sentence. As many already know, in November 2022 former EXO member Kris Wu (Wu Yi Fan) was notoriously tried for rape and group sex, convicted and sentenced to 13 years in prison in China, where he was pursuing his life and career. A year later he lost an appeal of the sentence, with the court commenting on the severity of the crimes. Wu is Chinese-Canadian by citizenship and had been living in China and at the height of his solo career there, when he was accused of rape and group sex. Basically setting up his girlfriend for involuntary group sex at parties with male friends, and other sexual assaults. The events for which he was tried occurred in 2018 and 2020. Investigators indicated that these events reflected a pattern of behavior by Wu and some male friends. Accusations were reaching the public eye by 2021. Brands were eliminating Kris Wu from their lineup and social media in what is known as 'erasure'. Wu apparently became a toxic connection as China began prosecuting several leading Chinese public figurews for various behavioral and financial crimes. The one article I found about the tax evasion investigation now under way also mentioned that Wu is doing better than many prisoners in Chinese prison. He is said to be in an official leadership position and has comforts that not all prisoners have. According to one article linked below (scroll to the end for a description of his prison conditions). Kris Wu is said to be exempt from cleaning duties and eats meals like steamed buns, napa cabbage, and stir-fried eggs with tomatoes. Reports also suggest he has gained around 9 kilograms during his time behind bars. [about 20 lbs] https://www.indiatimes.com/trending/former-exo-member-kris-wu-faces-new-legal-trouble-in-jail-could-his-13-year-sentence-be-extended-657780.html submitted by /u/onajurni [link] [comments]

(pic unrelated btw) Maybe their favourite colour became your favourite. Maybe you wear an accessory that they always wear. Maybe you take up a new special interest because of them. Maybe you look up to their effort so you work harder because they inspire you. Maybe you try to be more patient because they set an example of it for you. Parts of you are made of the people that you love. And it's so sweet to see people showing what they admire in people they love So don't try hide it, be brave and keep wearing those bracelets that remind you of the person you look up to or admire. Don't worry. It's cool. submitted by /u/Worried-Ad-7727 [link] [comments]
The main reason why I'm working on this, is cause it's really hard to keep up with new releases, especially if they all drop things at the same time. So when you add an artist to your profile, you'll always see when they release something new. The rating part is just for fun, but I'm thinking about developing a tool than can generate pictures with album reviews, similar to the ones people like to post, especially on TikTok. It's still in it's early phase and it will take some time until I can let other people use it, but I wanted to share this so I can see if other people like it or have ideas on what to add. Technically it's not limited to Kpop rn, but I want to focus more on it and maybe add some Kpop specific features in the future. submitted by /u/K-drip [link] [comments]

I'm NOT judging, I'm doing some research for a video, which about "what would have been HYBE without BTS". I know Big Hit was sucessful in Korea with groups like 2AM, Glam or Eight and artists like K.Will and Le Hyun even before BTS debuted, but outside of Asia, i believe it's BTS that made them famous. So I'm curious if some people thought that Big Hit didn't even exist before BTS debuted. (for the story telling you know) Once again I'm not judging or making fun, i won't even quote a name in my video, I'm just curious and I think it was the best place to ask. So let me know !! submitted by /u/ma___noya [link] [comments]
The purple part of the term makes sense as purple is the fandom colour, but the WHALE part.. If you didn't know, the word ''whale'' can be used as an insult to body-shame people and call them fat, and body shaming women, especially a GROUP full of women can be seen as misogynistic. Maybe I am just really sensitive. submitted by /u/Ilovehuskies1111 [link] [comments]
They are now 1st for ggs and 10th overall. The only female artist in the TOP 10 submitted by /u/4aewinter [link] [comments]
(THIS DOESN'T IMPLY TO EVERY GIRL GROUP STAN!!) I have seen so many girl group stans, specifically male, always talking about being a feminist just because they stan women. Being a feminist is MUCH more than being into female groups. Being a feminist means speaking up about their issues they face daily, being a feminist means to not hate on other women.. most girl group stans do the complete opposite despsite calling themselves a ''feminist''. The amount of times I have seen Girl group stans hate on other female idols that they don't like (and even wishing R@PE upon them), body-shaming and age-shaming female fans and female idols etc.. THAT is not feminism, but instead Incel behaviour. I also hate how they are ALWAYS blaming women for making problematic men popular, acting as if we knew that they are who they are behind the screens. (For example, S3ungr1 and Jaeil) I also hate how they tend to overshadow female stans when it comes to feminism and the issues women face. They (Most gg stans) DO NOT actually care about feminism or the issues women face -- They only pretend to care because they stan girls. submitted by /u/Ilovehuskies1111 [link] [comments]
I’ll be biased and choose Jonghyun since his albums are mostly no skips for me. She Is, Base and Story Op 2 are three of my favorite albums of all time, and he gets extra points for producing and writing most of the song on his own (and doing a phenomenal job at that). Onew and Taemin are battling for the #2 spot - I’d normally choose Taemin but Onew’s recent albums are too good. Key has some great songs as well and I love his creativity, and Minho has less releases but his recent album really exceeded my expectations. View Poll submitted by /u/MyOrgel [link] [comments]
