one of things i like about these two groups is that if you like one of the groups' music you're gonna love the other group's music so it's like i'm getting a whole full album😭 so excited for it!! (fun fact about them is that illit debuted 25th mar and rescene debuted 26th! so it feels like they're literally sisters lol) submitted by /u/soleyedi [link] [comments]

Think of what the reception would be if, for an encore at the end of concerts on their upcoming tour, Twice came out and did Takedown. All of them of course. Not just Jihyo, Chaeyoung, and Jeongyeon. So.... wild applause, that's the encore, all done. Then the lights go out and Golden starts playing and out come EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and Rei Ami. Now if that could be done on even just a few dates it would be a global event like no other. Food for thought. submitted by /u/CocoaKpopsTTV [link] [comments]
By overall, I mean their whole discography is just top notch in production. For me, Ateez has the best quality and most consistent production. All their instrumentals have so much going on, and I have looped playlists of them for hours. (Huge props to Edenary, and to minkkiway on yt for filtering them!!) highlights for me are New World and The Real but honestly they’re all soo good. I also really enjoy Ghost9’s instrumentals and their overall vibe. Whenever I listen to them, I always subconsciously focus on the instruments instead of the vocals whoops. I just wish they were more popular so I had a cleaner selection of instrumentals on yt :( submitted by /u/NoMembership2503 [link] [comments]
i noticed that on one of natty’s sugarcoat performances she was having trouble managing the first verse, but the chorus was prerecorded so people genuinely thought that she just started locking in …. i feel like i can never find a live performance these days.. performances are either prerecorded or have extremely heavy backing track (even radio performances!!!) anyways all this to say bring back live vocals submitted by /u/ilovemilktea_ [link] [comments]
i literally wish kpop demon hunters wasn't a thing😭 if i mention i like kpop the first question is "have you watched kpop demon hunters??" like no❤️ i have not watched it and will not watch it. kpop is always gonna be ascossiated with that damn movie now. sorry for this post i'm just really annoyed😔 submitted by /u/seolhwa_777 [link] [comments]
It's crazy to think considering the songs was released a month ago. They even outstream straykids the biggest 4th gen group not to mention the both songs was released earlier than ceremony submitted by /u/Party-Confection417 [link] [comments]
Hi! I’m newer to the k pop community. I watch videos on some k pop fans calling out those who go to multiple stops… greedy, weird, stalker, etc. Just curious. I’m a casual listener. I love stray kids and i have fingers crossed they’ll tour again since i discovered them right after they ended dominate. I plan on going to 1 concert. So where do people draw the line? How many stops is too much? Or is there not a line and it’s all opinion based? Thanks! :-) submitted by /u/No_Attitude_971 [link] [comments]
I’m looking for a nice CD player for my kpop cds and was looking on Amazon, I like that they have clear ones that show the disc playing but they apparently have just “decent” sound quality. Does anyone have a rec for a good one I can get for a fair price? I like the ones where you can see the disc spin but I’d prioritize sound quality over the aesthetic! submitted by /u/mysaddle [link] [comments]
So I’ve been seeing a bunch of posts about BigBang’s upcoming Coachella performance for their 20th anniversary. And while people have been understandably advocating for TOP’s return, I’ve seen quite a few people wanting Seungri back and it just grosses me out so much. It doesn’t matter if he was part of the original lineup, he ruined his legacy the second he decided to commit his crimes. He doesn’t deserve any second chances or forgiveness. It’s crazy how some people can’t judge morality objectively. submitted by /u/Ok_Mango1801 [link] [comments]
I've never really watched MVs before, now I decided to do it, so I'm looking for your favourite, the most well-done or the most unique concepts. submitted by /u/disasterpansexual [link] [comments]
Hey guyss So I recently started Stanning enhypen like a few days back. All of them are so so good 🥰🥰🥰 But anyway I have only listened to their song 'Bite me'. Can you all please recommend me some more songs like B tracks too, I wouldn't mind<3. submitted by /u/PhysicsIll2543 [link] [comments]
I do not know much about him tbh. Is he really that big a star to be pulling these views? submitted by /u/SnooOranges829 [link] [comments]

First of all, I’m a multi-stan and a Blink as well — so every thought here comes from years of watching the girls go through it all. Disclaimer: This post focuses only on Blackpink’s South Korean chart and fame journey. I still remember when Blackpink instantly rose to the top of girl groups in South Korea right after debut. They achieved a Perfect All-Kill (PAK) with their debut song in just six days — a record that still hasn’t been broken. Back then, it was much harder to achieve a PAK since it required topping nine charts, compared to just four today. From debut, they were leading the girl group scene. “How You Like That” (HYLT) marked the moment they completely surpassed the 3rd gen competition. It was a massive success both domestically and internationally — another PAK, along with insane YouTube and Spotify numbers. They were everywhere in Korea at that point. However, over time, the hiatuses between comebacks grew longer. When they finally came back in 2022 with Born Pink, it raised the global bar for girl groups yet again. The album’s performance outside of Korea — especially in the U.S. — was outstanding. But domestically, the response was a bit low-key compared to their earlier comebacks. Pink Venom was expected to top charts, but since the title contained the brand name “Celine,” it was deemed ineligible for Music Bank, which limited local exposure. From HYLT and The Album onward, it felt like YG began prioritizing international markets more heavily, and in the process, Blackpink slowly lost some of their connection with the South Korean audience. During this time, 4th gen girl groups surged, with NewJeans debuting while Blackpink was on tour. Practically overnight, NJ took over the charts and became Korea’s new “face of girl groups.” (Ditto is still one of my top 5 songs, btw.) Meanwhile, Blackpink continued their world tour throughout 2023, staying mostly outside of Korea. By then, NewJeans and Aespa were dominating domestically. Talks of “replacements” started, and many predicted BP would disband or pursue solo careers like their YG seniors. Then, in December 2023, amid all the uncertainty, news broke that the members had renewed their group contract (but not their solo ones) with YG. Each member later established her own label, leading fans to assume a group comeback was highly unlikely anytime soon. Fast forward to October 18, 2024 — Rosé released APT. And that changed everything. Out of nowhere, the song completely dominated — topping every Korean chart and platform. South Korea welcomed Rosé back with open arms. And with that, it felt like Blackpink’s “lost fame” in Korea had returned with full force. Soon after, Jennie released Mantra, which performed exceptionally well too. Then came announcements of solo albums from all four members, keeping the momentum alive from October 2024 through March 2025 — one hit after another. Finally, YG announced the “Deadline” World Tour (Stadium Only) along with a group comeback. Their first concert in Goyang drew 78,000 fans over two days, and on Day 1, they performed JUMP — which officially released the following week. Three months later, JUMP is still charting in the Top 2–3 across all major Korean charts. And honestly, if it weren’t for the ongoing KDH wave, we might’ve even seen another PAK. So here’s my question: 👉 Is it wrong to say that Rosé’s “APT” was the turning point — the spark that brought Blackpink’s domestic fame roaring back? submitted by /u/Daddy1007a [link] [comments]
