Two title tracks in a row now they've been given lesser versions of songs immediately released by Riize just a few months prior. First Riize released Impossible as a pre release single which was called a View doppelgΓ€nger and instantly loved and is considered one of the best songs of kpop last year. Then a few months later When When I'm With You comes out and gets called another View clone except this one was hated and considered boring and forgettable. But it's another SM house dance track that is clearly modeled after View just not good. Then this year Riize comes out with Ember to Solar as a pre mv release, a very futuristic and synth heavy retroish pop song. It's just a bside but like I said it got an mv and music show performances and managed to chart for a while on kcharts. Then a few months later Chiller and BTTF comes out, two futuristic synth heavy songs except they are totally atonal and compromised of multiple clashing parts and barely a chorus to speak of between them. And both flop completely and are hated and even ridiculed. SM artists have released similar songs all the time and certain group's songs become trends within their groups like Snsd's IGAB and those years where everyone was accused, rightfully, of trying to be neo. But this is just weird as these aren't massive hits for Riize- as much as Impossible is loved and now a 5th gen bg classic it didn't perform as well in Korea compared to their other hits and Ember to Solar is just a bside -and they're not good songs. If it was just a one off or everyone at SM started doing these trends I wouldn't even notice. But it seems weird to have your two boy groups who are the same age roughly and already have a branding crash problem to release similar music, especially the same older debuted one to release what song like first draft rejects of the younger one. Like compared to Riize NCT Dream look like straight up losers and like they're reheating their nachos with old moldy cheese and stale chips and whoever is giving them these songs has to be setting them up or doing something that is trying to ride Riize's coattails and flopping even harder. submitted by /u/mannimonn [link] [comments]
Stray Kids has yet to announce their Korean encore concert - will there be other encore concert/s other than the Korean one? Stray Kids DominATE tour is going to end soon - it has its up and down but generally it seems to be a successful tour. We have Stade de France (2 dates) and 1 Rome date left and SKZ is coming back with their 4th album Karma (so excited!) soon. We know a Korean encore date is a definite plan - they announced it on their 2025 plan late last year. Lets play the speculation game. Where would they do their Korean encore date? - Goyang (we can only hope but SKZ strength is definitely not their Korean market)? KSPO dome (they did 4 dates for DominATE)? Some surprise location? When will they announce this Korean encore concert - at the last stop Rome? During their comeback? Will there be a non-Korean encore? - Last Maniac tour they closed the tour with LA BMO but their current tour is definitely much larger than their Maniac tour, will they re-do any of the stadiums they do at this DominATE tour? Will they do another stadium? Will they repeat DC stadium after that disastrous one? Is MetLife a dream? We have seen that kpop tour is not selling out as crazy as post-COVID time as evidenced as ticket sales recently. Will SKZ/JYPE take a risk of having more than one encore date? Will there be more? And another interesting point - will SKZ skip touring in 2026 and go back to their festival route like in 2023? I am waiting for the final tally for SKZ DominATE tour once it ends - to see if they get to reach their estimated target. submitted by /u/Many-Ad-9007 [link] [comments]
βββββββββββββββββ Hey everyone, I hope you all had a good week. My week was pretty good as Iβve been getting ready for my Vacation starting next Friday. Iβm looking forward to taking a break from work and spending time with my friend. This week delivered some tunes that I've been listening to a few times, getting ready for todayβs episode. I canβt wait to share these tunes with you all, so letβs jump into the music and see what was delivered. βββββββββββββββββ https://preview.redd.it/fxxyfal5d9ff1.jpg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=566e2c202ebc6adb265f0891af0c49c1296f7fa0 Other Korean Releases of the Week: July 22nd μΌκΈ°μ보 - Oh My Girl Oh My Girl returned with a new single with production from Monotree. A guitar opens the track, introducing a sweet melody that blends seamlessly with the group's vocals. The hook is chill and relaxing with a little bit of a groove. Mimi has a short rap verse that felt like it couldβve been better, but it still fit with the chill vibe. Iβve been seeing this new track from Oh My Girl grow on me over the week. https://preview.redd.it/vaklfc5gd9ff1.jpg?width=1000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=462dd479ee31041a43125bfd80d5a418998a38fe βββββββββ βββββββ July 23rd STAYC Special Single [I WANT IT] β STAYC STAYC is back with a new single album that delivers three new tunes. I want is the title track, one that goes for an electro-pop vibe. I love the vocals that fit this electro-pop sound as they blend perfectly with the beat. The hook has been stuck in my head as I keep coming back to this tune. We do get a rap in the second verse that adds to the vibe, as that is another thing pulling me back. Boy is the first B-side on the single, bringing in autotune and vocal effects. I donβt mind STAYC using vocal effects, but I find the group doesn't need any cause they have great vocals. The hook is a pretty decent one that has been growing on me a bit this week. Honestly, it's the closer for this single album and another one of my favorites. Thumping percussion opens up the track Honestly with smooth vocals from the group. The sweet and smooth hook works well with the overall vibe of the instrumental. The overall single album works well with STAYC, as Iβve been coming back to it a few times since its release. https://preview.redd.it/z06wg5gnd9ff1.jpg?width=1200&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8f7f1ba9da45140aa912aae611cbac9deb82676b βββββββββ βββββββ Whenever -Jay Park Jay Park is back once again with a new single that has a Japanese and English version. The smooth instrumental fits beautifully with the vocals from Jay. NAKKID helps Jay produce this synth-based R&B tune that keeps pulling me back. The hook has a groove to it that complements the singer's performance. We do get an English rap in the Japanese version, which fits perfectly with the vibe. Iβm finding myself liking Whenever more than his single Remedy. https://preview.redd.it/uypgfqttd9ff1.jpg?width=724&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=6b3d2f46e2ed59d413f186cb5295d7055535d6c7 βββββββββ βββββββ Non-Korean Releases of the Week: Back in The Saddle - Luke Combs Country singer Luke Combs is back with a new single, one that I believe will be on his new album. I love the thumping vibe that the instrumental brings to the table as it fits perfectly with the vocals. The hook has been stuck in my head since I first heard it, as that section keeps making me sing along. If this song is a pre-release for his upcoming record, it does a great job getting me excited for whatβs to come. https://preview.redd.it/cyr3f001e9ff1.jpg?width=480&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=90c1a592d6bd3d682f9681a4f9039a5b06ae1b8c βββββββββ βββββββ Sapphire (feat. Arijit Singh) - Ed Sheeran This week, Ed Sheeran returned with a Punjabi version of Sapphire with Arijit Singh singing more than the original. Arijit Singh sings during the second verse and does a hook in English. I find his vocals fit wonderfully with the vibe that this tune brings to the table. I still find the chorus catchy as Iβve been listening to the original like crazy. Ed does sing the bridge in Punjabi, which caught me off guard. I love it when artists who sing in English are willing ot try to sing in a Language they donβt know. While Iβm not into Indian music, Iβve been having this version on repeat like crazy cause itβs stuck in my head. https://preview.redd.it/c9w3pl8ae9ff1.jpg?width=640&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b07cdf12d47e2cf9c3bd10ffb03578aa74b7079b βββββββββ βββββββ Lastfm Weekly Round Up (July 18th - July 24th) Artist: Twice https://preview.redd.it/vtsi9cgde9ff1.png?width=1200&format=png&auto=webp&s=a826d00254a390ebbee66fa76bbf399378feb0af βββββββββ βββββββ Album: This is For - Twice https://preview.redd.it/glpdx85ee9ff1.jpg?width=201&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=44482a1ed5607e0f7e58e702da7bc0570e6e4912 βββββββββ βββββββ Song: DAT AHH DAT OOH (SANA, JIHYO, DAHYUN, CHAEYOUNG, TZUYU) - Twice https://preview.redd.it/txtz60oee9ff1.png?width=1200&format=png&auto=webp&s=b11b4232336b495b70397784164eefb6d09dbcc0 submitted by /u/Maltifandom23 [link] [comments]

I had downloaded weverse a month back in my Samsung 43" Crystal UHD TV and it worked so good. But I stopped watching that for 3 days and today when I opened the app, it said to log in. But the QR code wasn't available. I even "reinstall"ed the app but same problem. So I deleted it in order to download again. BUT AFTER DELETING, I CANNOT FIND THE APP IN THE APP STORE ANYMORE. I am so devastated. I have tried to search the app but it's not there anymore. Is this a glitch like is anyone facing this? Or did they update any policy which removed the app from my region? Fyi I'm from India. If anyone can help please do. I really enjoyed having weverse on my TV. submitted by /u/sweetsydney19 [link] [comments]

I know this might sound like a dumb question but I have noticed some popular groups with music I think is really bad and it makes me wonder how they still have fans. Personally I just canβt get into a group if I donβt like their songs but maybe thatβs just me. I tried with KATSEYE during their debut era but the music completely turned me off. submitted by /u/Yveslovescats [link] [comments]
Like I am not saying they are real but if they really turn out to be I would be like not surprised at all cuz of all ships theirs make sense a lot submitted by /u/DiMpLe_dolL003 [link] [comments]
I guess people love when something is unconventional and fresh. The recent successful if All Day Project proves the same. A lot of people tuned in because coed groups are not a common occurence in kpop.Although Kard existed and had their fair share of fame internationaly, did not enjoy the same level of success in korea, coz the kpop landscape is still controlled by biggies with resouses and connections. Same goes for New jeans and Aespa people loved their songs bcoz they were so fresh and their concepts were so unique. Also, let's not forget katseye, although they are the second global group ...but global groups are still a new thing, and they are more noticed this year bcoz of their unconventional song Gnarly!! (which was so bad that ppl started loving it at the end π).Vcha had potential but unfortunaly they could not make it big bcoz of mismanagement. XG another uncommon group is also making waves, certainly not on the level of any group from a big companies, but they are still doing great. What I observed people love when something fresh and new thing is served. So, big companies with lot of resourses and connections should try something new and different with every group instead of following the footprints of an old group that is already successful. submitted by /u/Beneficial-Candy3772 [link] [comments]
Spotted on many sites a video showing Sana on the stage hitting other TWICE members with a giant lightstick, I would be interested in knowing what is it about for a fan to be hit also? And would you like to be hit by her? submitted by /u/Asleep-Bonus-8597 [link] [comments]
