I've always Saw fans complained about the lack of promo that their faves got because their song flopped on the charts and blamed the company for that like always. But the truth is some songs are destined to flopped no matter how much they promoted it because people just didn't liked it. There are songs that got crazy promotions like putting on Billboards and ads everywhere across the city and social media like tiktok,IG and YouTube but still flopped because people just didn't resonate with it and it's no one to blame. submitted by /u/Chemical_Mobile_6613 [link] [comments]
wanted to start a discussion about a topic that I think a lot of long-time collectors or fans of older groups have probably thought about: What does collecting look like for an idol who has completely left the industry and has gone private? I'm specifically thinking of former idols who have retired from public life like no social media, no new releases, no public activities, essentially living as a private citizen. I've been collecting merch for Ex Loona Ex Loossemble hyeju for a while, and while I cherish the pieces as a memory of their time as an artist and a part of my own history as a fan, a few thoughts keep popping up: The merch (albums, photocards, etc.) are now truly historical artifacts. Do you feel like you are curating a small museum of a time that is completely over? Since there will be no new official merch, do you feel an extra drive to try and complete your collection of their active years? Or does the realization that their public life is over make you want to slow down? Have any of you noticed the prices for their items (especially rare ones) change? Sometimes they drop as general interest fades, but sometimes they spike because the supply is permanently capped. This is the big one for me. Since they're a private citizen now, do you feel any change in the way you talk about your collection, or do you take extra care not to use their current name/private info if you happen to know it? The connection is now purely to their past public persona. I know every fan's relationship with their bias is personal, but I'm really curious about the community's thoughts. If you collect or used to collect for a former idol who is now private, how has your approach or sentiment changed over time? submitted by /u/Main-Recover-1406 [link] [comments]
βββββββββββββββββ Hey everyone, today SM girl group Hearts2Hearts releases their first mini album, one Iβve been waiting for since their debut. I enjoyed the group's debut with The Chase and Butterflies, which I remember having on repeat like Crazy. The group returned with Style during the summer, which was something I couldβve gotten out of my head. Iβm excited to see what this 1st mini album brings to the table as this group continues to grow musically and artistically. Now, letβs jump into this project and see what Hears2Heart delivered. βββββββββββββββββ Processing img 8uwh37vr7bwf1... Focus - Hearts2Hearts Focus Focus opens up the project with a funky dance beat that blends wonderfully with the sweet vocals this group delivers. I love the groovy nature of the tune as itβs been stuck in my head like craxy today. The vocals blend together to craft beautiful harmonies that complement the vibe. The hook has been growing on me over the day as Iβve been returning to it thanks to the addictive melody in the backing track. The members work wonderfully with this groovy sound, as it does an excellent job opening up the album, and this song does a great job getting me excited for the rest of the album. Processing img dtd20zgv7bwf1... βββββββββ βββββββ Apple Pie The second song in the album is titled Apple Pie, bringing in a funky-pop vibe that works perfectly with the group's vocals. The track goes for this slick retro vibe that helps bring out the funky nature of the instrumental. The groupβs vocals fit this tune perfectly, as the members achieve a smooth tone that adds a magical vibe to the mix. I enjoy the synths in the instrumental, making this track a little magical at times, but not overpowering the vocals or the funky vibe. I canβt wait to have this tune on repeat, as I know this song will be on rotation for a while. Processing img 4e7eyxzx7bwf1... βββββββββ βββββββ Pretty Please Pretty Please was released as a pre-release single, bringing in this new jack swing sound that feels like it couldβve been released from a 1st gen group. Iβve had this tune on repeat like crazy as I fell in love with it during the first time hearing it. The vocals still hit with the vibe that keeps pulling me back for more. The hook is another excellent section that is also a thing that keeps popping up in my head. During the bridge, we get a little rap that adds to the vibe and is another favorite section of mine. I feel like this group fits perfectly with this new jack swing sound that keeps me coming back for more. Iβm glad they released Pretty Please as a pre-release cause itβs been something I've been having on repeat like crazy. Processing img plo2ae708bwf1... βββββββββ βββββββ Flutter Flutter is this retro-sounding pop tune that has a groove to it that works with the sweet tone the members bring with their vocals. The hook is so slick that itβs becoming one of my favorite moments on this album. The group puts on an excellent performance that keeps the groove the instrumental delivers. We do get a little rap in the second verse, which adds to the overall vibe. The hook continues to grow on me with each listen as Iβm enjoying the groove that production delivers with the vocals driving that section. The bridge is another section that hits hard as the vocals get stronger. Flutter is another tune that fits this album perfectly, adding to the record's overall vibe. Processing img 3kxapuf28bwf1... βββββββββ βββββββ 5. Blue Moon Blue Moon closes out the album, opening with a guitar that crafts this beautiful melody. I love the slow groove the tune has, as it lets the vocals shine. The pre-chorus transitions wonderfully into the hook that is packed with harmonies that help to close out this album. The melody is the highlight of the instrumental. The bridge is a sweet section that does a good job of helping to close out the project. I find Blue Moon a perfect tune to end this project. Processing img snn6fo578bwf1... βββββββββββββββββ Summary: Hearts2Hearts released their first mini album, one that is packed with funky-pop tunes, smooth vocals, and excellently crafted melodies. Iβve been waiting for a mini album from this group since their debut was something that pulled me right in and made me a fan of them. Pretty Please was a perfect choice for a pre-release, as the new jack swing sound pulled me right back for more. Focus does a great job opening up the mini album as it gets me excited for whatβs to come. Blue Moon might be a little uninteresting in the instrumental, but the melody and vocals make up for that, helping to close out the album. Iβm excited to see what else Hearts2Hearts will deliver to the table in the future as we watch them grow. βββββββββββββββββ Processing img mva69dp78bwf1... submitted by /u/Maltifandom23 [link] [comments]
It probably goes against her whole image of being classy, but she gets dragged left and right she is one of the most unproblematic idol there is. In 2020 or 2021 it was hell for her people were and still is body shaming her. I genuinely don't know why shes hated, she got hated on for throwing a baseball and kicking a soccer ball. Shes pretty, she's a good dancer and singer. She got hated on for drinking water recently and she got hated on for eating a pizza for a commercial. She needa tell yall to mind your business submitted by /u/Top_Cookie_3554 [link] [comments]
When CxM debuted I was so excited for the interviews and bonus content of this album, but Idk if u guys noticed that in almost all of the interviews so far Mingyu talks about the fact that he wanted to do a solo project ( to a PR pov it was better not to say that to the press but anyways... )and the company told him it was better to do a unit and he agreed, I was very shocked hearing about this cus I thought that SVT having a 10 year old career could do whatever they wanted when it comes about music projects but apparently the can't, and on top of that u can see how frustrated he kinda is about it, even though he loved working with Cheol on the unit, but still. Mingyu even shaded pledis on one of those interviews, basically saying that pledis is making random units in order to get fast money while SVT is in military service. But like how do not let one of the members of ur biggest group have a solo project ??? And he's one of the most popular members of the group..... LIKE IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE TO ME.... submitted by /u/Visual-Ad7631 [link] [comments]
It's been years since I've gotten into k-pop and I've always wanted to know more about the bands that I like. So here's a fun little thing hopefully it doesn't trigger a lot of people. submitted by /u/ghgfhjhfb [link] [comments]

This is not a legal discussion. There is 0% copyright or copying or anything of the sort. HOWEVER as a listener throughout the whole song I am just thinking...I rather be listening to Crazy...haha what did they do? It's not even THAT similar but that base instrumental and the tone is just too similar to not compare. submitted by /u/PoyuPoyuTetris [link] [comments]

I was on twitter recently and saw a bunch of posts talking about 'natural skin color' and it made me so uncomfortable. Korea has an issue with colorism, but we've lost the plot when the discussion devolves into talking over Koreans saying it's xenophobic and racist to lecture them on what their 'natural skin color' is or lecturing them on colonial beauty standards when it's not even why pale skin is prized (it's classism!). The truth is that Koreans come in a variety of colors and most of them are not born tan. Sure, it would be nice to see more dark-skinned idols, but they're pale-skinned asians. There's nothing wrong with that. What's fucked up is applying a moral valence to skin colors. submitted by /u/Klutzy-Speaker-3524 [link] [comments]
This is so surreal... Their Saja Girls dance practice video actually manifested it and unsealed the honmoon! The girls are crying in their dorm room right now. I'm so happy for them. Many congrats to NMIXX! submitted by /u/GainImpressive8183 [link] [comments]
