so I just saw that Modhaus, the agency behind TripleS and ARTMS partnered with Bunjang to drop newly debuted bg Idntt’s limited edition photocards and I can’t help but wonder why. There are already tons of established kpop sales platforms like ktown4u, everline but they went with bunjang which is more like KR version of FB Marketplace, mostly a peer to peer resale platform. Is Bunjang actually one of the bigger platforms for kpop merch trading? I’ll admit I haven’t kept up with every platform Modhaus used for triples or artms promotions so I don’t know their exact marketing strategy here. But it does make me curious why they’d pick bunjang specifically. From what I’ve seen, people usually only use bunjang when something is noticeably cheaper in korea compared to global prices or when there’s a free handling fee promo like the $5 waiver. makes sense for rare photocards since bunjang seems to be where a lot of them end up but I’m still surprised they’d do an exclusive drop for a rookie group there. Do you think Modhaus did this because there’s stronger demand for rookie group stuff on bunjang? I was thinking of setting up a website about K-pop, since it's a topic I enjoy and people seem to search for it a lot. It would basically just be a fun blog with relevant content like: Profiles on idols and groups Stories and information Info on record labels Helpful blogs answering questions people commonly search about K-pop Music videos Upcoming artists And anything else that would be helpful for this type of site. So, we all know the infamous 6-member curse, but what about the 7-member curse? Let’s see: NMIXX debuted as 7, but Jinni left the group in December 2022. Purple Kiss debuted as 7, but Jieun left the group in November 2022. TRI.BE debuted as 7, but Jinha left the group in July 2023. Weeekly debuted as 7, but Jiyoon left the group in June 2022. IZNA debuted as 7, but Jiyoon left the group in August 2025. Though debuting as 8, JinE left Oh My girl in October 2017, leaving them with 7 members. Following this, Jiho left the group in May 2022. I don’t mean to downgrade anyone or talking about vocal tier and such, but I noticed that SM artists tend to emphasize singing with vibrato more than artists from JYP, YG, or HYBE. Other artists do use vibrato too, just not as often or as strong. I’m not a trained singer, so I can’t speak on technical skill, but even SM average vocalists seem to use it. I really started noticing it when I listened to Mama by Exo which, in that song, they basically sing with vibrato at the end of every verse line. The clearest vibrato in a kpop song, I suppose.
