I love Badge War. Season 1 and 2 are great, and still one of the best and intense variety shows in all of k-pop. But Season 3 is just... beyond perfect. I have a hard time coming up with words to describe how good it is. But let me try. As always, there are 4 episodes in each season. Each episode brings us more and more to get to see who will be the finalists, and a potential winner of it all. The variety of games, combinations of members, and everything that leads to it needs a whole another post. But I want to focus on the final, 4th episode of Season 3. !SPOILERS START FROM HERE! PART 1. Tug of War The episode starts with a game, where all 24 members of tripleS gets to finally become one team. It's the first time ever in Badge War. They are against a 24 team of women from Jeju. They play a 24 vs 24 Tug of War. The first round, tripleS loses and they see they lack the discipline needed for a coordinated win. And in the second round, they get it done. The happiness of all members is just something beautiful. The first member of tripleS, S1 Seoyeon, the unofficial and at the same time the official leader of tripleS, is jumping and screaming in joy: One! We are one! These words have a great meaning in tripleS. In the first ever video of tripleS, before there was any member, it starts with a voice saying: 'We are one and also 24' And these words have been said many times by a lot of members throughout the years. It became somewhat of a meme in the tripleS members and fandom space. Now, these words have even greater meaning. They really became one, and won together as one team in a Badge War. And then they won the 3rd round, winning the whole game of Tug War. As Seoyeon said, it was so meaningful that they won because it's their first time playing a game as one team. I teared up watching their happiness and reactions. It was so touching. I'm so happy they won. PART 2. Betting Badges There are 7 candidates for the final game. A final game where 3 members with the most badges are against each other. A game to decide the winner. Hayeon has 10 badges, while the other 6 members has 8 badges each. In the betting game, you can bet as much as 3 badges, or just don't bet at all. And it's so funny to me that they ALL decided to bet AT LEAST 2 badges. Even Hayeon. They were so eager to get to the final game, that they decided to go for it. On a 50/50 game. And this game decided the 3 finalists: Yubin - who won, by betting 2 badges, gaining 2. - 10 total Jiyeon - who won, by betting 2 badges, gaining 2. - 10 total Hayeon - who LOST, by betting 2 badges, losing 2. - 8 total. All the other candidates who lost their bets, had less than 8 badges. It was a real luck for Hayeon to still be in the finals, despite losing 2 badges in a bet. After the announcement, you can see how relieved she was to still get to the finals. It's funny too how the members reacted to Yubin and Jiyeon getting to the finals. As the members said, they are the Madness 3. And yes, the madness in the final game really showed. PART 3. The Final Game The 3 finalists are blindfolded in a dark, red glowing forest, The announcer tells them to take off their blindfolds, and explains the rest of the game, including the fact that they are tied up to the chairs they're sitting on. But Yubin, as soon as she hears it, starts to untie herself in the middle of announcer speaking. The other girls, seeing her, start to untie themselves too. Yubin later explained that she had no thoughts, just started doing it, while Jiyeon said she thought they are supposed to wait for announcer to start the game. And I think that's how it was supposed to be. The production team probably didn't expect the girls to start the game that fast. But they decided to go with it, not interrupting the game. Hayeon untied herself first, Yubin soon after her, but she didn't see she was still tied to the chair by her one leg and she fell with the chair behind her. Yubin and Hayeon were going through the forest, they found the way out which was through obstacles. They were going slow, as there were so many of them. It was some kind of material, which made red lines from the left to the right from many angles. Members had to get past them and avoid them. Jiyeon, who finally untied herself, saw the members going through it slowly. And she decided to make up for the time she lost. She started to crawl. Crawl very fast. She saw that there were less obstacles on the ground and decided to go for it. As soon as she got to the members, the members noticed and started to crawl too. Jiyeon got first out, but she didn't notice the place she was supposed to take the lantern and a map and just ran. While Yubin and Hayeon were just coming out from the forest. At this point, the madness to win in all of them was just enormous, terrific. Yubin even accidently stepped on Hayeons hand. The 2 got the lantern and map, and Jiyeon looked behind her to see them. She got to them, and took the items too. None of them looked at the map with focus. They just started to run forward. Yubin said afterwards that she wouldn't know where she is, even with map. So she just ran behind Hayeon, Jiyeon too. What's funny is that the production crew didn't expect that the members would go on a different than planned path. There were no cameras on the path the members run. The footage was done mostly in GoPro cameras attached to them and some production crew members that went after them, looking for them. But nonetheless, the members got to the designated place. With all the other members cheering for them. The tripleS members have split into 3 groups, each supporting one of the finalists. 6 for Yubin, 5 for Hayeon, and 10 for Jiyeon. They all cheered and supported their favourites. All in their own way. It was heartwarming, and funny at the same time. They all got into the lifts, and started to solve the puzzle. Hayeon was the first, and the lift goes up for her to take the keys. The final mission in the final game is to open up a chest with one of the 50 keys. There is a Golden Badge in each of the chests. The first one to open, is the one who wins the Badge War. Yubin solved the puzzle second, and she took the keys. The emotions at this point are peaking. Jiyeon is still solving the puzzle, while in front of her on the left and right are Hayeon and Yubin trying to open the chests. I can't imagine how stressful that was for her. She said that she lost concentration for a while because of that. But she got to solve the puzzle, and now all 3 of them are trying to open the chests. It's amazing how all 3 of them are fighting with all their heart. It was so stressful even for the viewers. Every key was different. Jiyeon started to look for patterns in the keys, as she probably thought that she lost too much time on the puzzle. Jiyeon was the last to solve the puzzle, but the first to find the right key. She won Badge War. She cried and the 10 supporting her members run to her to celebrate with her. It was a beautiful moment. Jiyeon, the last member of tripleS, S24, a member with a number that represents tripleS, won the Badge War. It's heartwarming. But it's heartbreaking for Yubin and Hayeon. Yubin opened her chest shortly after, getting the Golden Badge. Her supporting members got to her. They were so affectionate and sad. Seoyeon patted on her head, which was so cute. And on the right, Hayeon was having a hard time accepting she lost. She really wanted to win. For most of the season, she was a clear winner and having the most badges. I personally thought and believed she was going to win Badge War. Badge War 3 ends with Jiyeon as a winner. It's beautiful and unexpected. Most people didn't even expect her to get to the finals. The members too were shocked. Jiyeon was quiet and even sick for some time during the filming, which delayed the filming a bit. She speaks about this during her winner speech. And that's even one of the reasons Season 3 is so perfect. The winner is truly unexpected. She gave it all. She really went through a lot during this season. She overcame everything. For me, Yubin, Hayeon and Jiyeon are all winners. They gave it all and were all head to head. But ultimately, there can only be one winner. And Jiyeon winning, is truly magnificent. PART 4. EXTRA Nakyoung before the final game told the members she has a vision, that she can see that Jiyeon will win the Badge War. That Hayeon will be the most devastated from loss, and Yubin will be some sort of in the middle of this. It doesn't matter what you believe in. Religion, spirits, anything. Ultimately, it's really interesting that Nakyoung predicted all of it with that much accuracy. You have to watch it to see it for yourself. It's kinda mind-blowing actually. And she later comments on that, that the members will go to her to ask for fortune telling. ENDING Well, if you read all of it, I wanna thank you. With today's world, it's sometimes hard to keep focus on one thing, especially reading. So I thank you for that. If you haven't watched Badge War, please give yourself a treat and watch it, even with knowing all of it. Don't be scared by the number of members, you don't have to know their names or anything! Just enjoy. So... will there be a Season 4? 👀 submitted by /u/Aromatic_Recipe4313 [link] [comments]

Idk, I just have a feeling that they are siblings. Not the members, just the groups with concepts and vibes and stuff. They are also both the second most popular group in their gender. My name is Virginia and I live near Madrid (Spain). I’ve liked K-pop since I was around 14, when I discovered 2NE1, Bigbang, Girls Generation… and to this day, some of my favorite groups are Enhypen, BTS, Ive, and many more (I love listening to both new and old groups 🧡). The thing is, in my social circle, there have been a few people who liked K-pop for a while, but then they lost interest. I’ve never really had a group of friends to talk about comebacks with, discover new songs, or just chat about K-pop in general 🥲. I always get excited when someone starts getting into it, but it never really sticks. I have a niece who’s crazy about K-pop, but she’s 13, and of course it’s not the same as talking with people my own age. I would love to meet people and have a Telegram or WhatsApp group where we can talk and get excited about K-pop 🥲. I feel like it’s hard to make friends with similar interests when you’re almost 30. Does this happen to you too? submitted by /u/vlavellan [link] [comments]

984. As a Meovv fan I'm glad Meovv debuted as they are and Bailey and Annie are in ADP

  • 1 week ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

This is purely perspective of a Meovv fan that has no interest in All day project. Meovv is perfect as 5, with the exact members they have. Some might think, well that is given as they debut with those 5 members, who would disagree? But to people who might not know, Annie and Bailey were very heavily rumored to be in Meovv (i mean they were in the leaked pre debut pictures so makes sense). Annie got announced to not be in Meovv very well in advance but Bailey was rumored to be in the group till the day last member was revealed. Lot of predebut fans were sad as they were along with Ella the most known people. It took long time for pawmpawns (meovv fandom name) to let Annie and Bailey go, even when Meovv debuted but now that All day Project debuted I see that people didnt really let them go. In some pawmpawm circles this might be very controversial to say. But im glad Annie didnt debut with Meovv. Her status as chaebol is controversial and it will forever be something that will be talked with her. Bailey is not controversial member and would have had less 'problem' her debuting in Meovv but when Narin was revealed to be the last member, i kinda was somewhat glad Bailey didnt debut in Meovv. Im not even sure why, maybe because i didnt see her fitting very traditional kpop group and i personally didnt want Meovv be super hiphop leaning group. I just dont see her fitting Meovv as they are today. I think ADP fits both Annie and Bailey better. Bailey dancing skills are more suited for hiphop leaning group than Meovv, and i think she herself suits group that most likely wont be as standard kpop group. And Annie too, the less traditional kpop group for her, the better. There were already lots of korean hit tweets mad about her debuting because she has dated, posted revealing pics etc. Ofc those are not things people should be mad at, but i can guarantee that in Meovv the backlash would be more severe (especially how popular Meovv is getting in China). In co-ed group that has older already known people, the expectations are different. I like that Meovv is your typical kpop group and i dont have to see the discourse is it ethical to support chaebol etc. I think if Annie and Bailey would be in Meovv, everything would be different, even the dynamic since they are all pretty close to age, but Annie and Ella would have quite age gap. I think they would have gone way more global leaning if Annie and Bailey would be in Meovv. I just need to get this off my chest as i feel like now that Bailey and Annie debuted, the ot7 till lives on but I'm happy to stan Meovv as they are and personally not interested in All day project. submitted by /u/ioigirly [link] [comments]

990. Short K-Pop Songs That Feel Complete To You (under 3 minute songs)

Not all short shorts are created equal imo. Inspired by this post, what are some K-pop songs that feel complete, if 2:30 ones don't seem to cut it for you? The only stipulation is that the song(s) must be under 3 minutes. For me, I love a bridge and a good last chorus, but the lack of either isn't automatically a thumbs down in some instances. My nominations (in no particular order): Supersonic by fromis_9 (2:54) Magnetic by ILLIT (2:40) Love Dive by IVE (2:57) ABCD by Nayeon (2:43) Strategy by Twice (2:46) ETA by NewJeans (2:31) Hype Boy by NewJeans (2:59) Sticky by Kiss Of Life (2:37) Still Life by RM, ft. Anderson .Paak (2:55) Snap Shoot by Seventeen (2:56) Perfume by NCT DOJAEJUNG (2:47) The Killa (I Belong To You) by TxT (2:42) Tinnitus by TxT (2:37) Yes or No by Jungkook (2:27) FRI (END) S by V (2:28) Excited to see your picks! Remember, what is a good short song will be subjective :) note: I don't listen to HYBE groups that much, but it's outstanding how most of my picks are HYBE lol. submitted by /u/angie_kiprevski [link] [comments]

I’m curious — what’s a K-pop opinion you have that you usually keep to yourself in stan spaces? It could be about groups, soloists, idols who go solo in the group, conpanies, concepts, styling, fans, vocals, stage presence, award shows — anything K-pop related. Doesn’t have to be negative — even a positive take that’s unpopular is welcome. Let’s just try to keep it respectful. You’re allowed to disagree with others, but there’s no need to be rude. And let’s not downvote people just because we don’t agree — this is a hot take thread after all.
