This is just my personal observation based on what I’ve seen on my Reddit feed about how K-pop redditors usually talk about the Big 4 companies: HYBE – If you’re going to comment about them, it should be purely positive. Even if it’s negative, you need to make it sound positive. If not, you’ll be severely downvoted. JYP – This is probably the company that Redditors are most objective about. Like, they’re properly critiquing without sounding like haters. They call out the company’s flaws, but they also give credit when it’s due. It feels more balanced compared to the way the other companies are treated. SM – It’s difficult to post or comment positive things about their groups here, especially aespa. I just feel bad for them. While some comments are valid, most just resort to unnecessary hate. YG – It’s actually the same as SM, but the difference is they have more stans here who are ready to rebut the haters. Note: As I’ve said, this is just my observation based on my feed.
