Not like BIGBANG & 2NE1 or SuJu & SNSD, but actual counterparts like EXO-K and EXO-M. Same group name, same song, but different versions. One male, one female. Like imagine EXO-B and EXO-G. They debut with the same track, but in different keys. Just a shower thought...without showering... submitted by /u/Personal_Damage6616 [link] [comments]

A new touring company this time around! N2O4, which has done quite a few LatAm kpop tours (KARD, JUSTB, NTX). Fingers crossed! submitted by /u/CardboardBoxtroll [link] [comments]
Actions like this make the rest of us K-Pop fans (STAYs or not) look bad. Like why? I remember back in 2020 during the pandemic, K-Pop fans united as a fandom, as a community and trolled Trump’s rally (resulted in a low turnout at his rally). We even drowned out right-wing hashtags on social media. Why can’t we go back to coming together as one whole fandom? https://www.billboard.com/music/music-news/k-pop-fans-tiktok-users-trump-rally-attendance-9406305/ NOTE: this original twitter post was deleted but fans (like myself) have saved screenshots of this submitted by /u/Limp_Fig6236 [link] [comments]
what does it take for a group to be popular when they don't debut under the big 3? all big 3 companies started off as small ones, popularized by their groups. could that ever happen again? submitted by /u/Any_Statistician1845 [link] [comments]
Recently it was announced that hybe will debut a new global girlgroup compose of eliminated trainees from dream academy a show that formed katseye. Aside from Runext Hybe always gave eliminated trainees from their previous survival shows a second chance like eliminated trainees from iland who's now debut as &team and eliminated trainees from &audition who's now debut as aeon. Will Runext be the only hybe's survival show where none of the eliminated trainees get a second chance? As of today since the show ended 2 years ago we still haven't heard a new projects from hybe that will involve Runext trainees. I could be wrong and they might be in the line up of source music or pledis new girlgroup. submitted by /u/Party-Confection417 [link] [comments]

https://k4cut.com For those who don’t know, Insaeng Ne Cut is a huge trend in Korea. You go into a booth with your friends or partner, snap 4 photos in a row, and get them printed as a photo strip. It’s kind of like a modern Polaroid, but way more aesthetic and very K-culture. Now you can try it online with AI: Upload your photos and get a K-style 4-cut strip Photos are deleted right after processing, so no worries It takes about 2 minutes Sometimes the Gemini server hiccups, so if it doesn’t work, just try again submitted by /u/RowSpecific2532 [link] [comments]
Okay, so I'm still riding high from Lisa's third VMA win for "Born Again" – seriously, that track with Doja Cat and Raye was everything. But right after the show wrapped, this intriguing bit popped up: Freya Fox, the Filipino-American DJ and producer, shared a now-deleted IG story selfie with Lisa saying "Japan next." And there's already a viral Reddit thread dissecting it, complete with screenshots linking it to Lisa's upcoming Japan tour dates. Freya Fox just teased her new hip-hop K-pop track "I Can Unban You" (English version out now, Korean one on the way), and the timing has me wondering if it's all connected. But my main thought is: why isn't this getting more attention in K-pop circles? Freya Fox has this fascinating background – she's a certified ethical hacker with a cybersecurity degree, a former pro gamer, and her music has evolved from lo-fi hip hop to this fresh hip-hop K-pop sound with subtle metal influences. She's multilingual, mixes in J-pop and anime elements, and as a Southeast Asian artist, she could add such a unique layer to Lisa's Tokyo Dome shows in 2026. Yet, it seems like the buzz is staying contained, almost overlooked. Is it because Freya Fox doesn't fit the typical K-pop idol image? She's not from a major Korean agency, and her dual life as a hacker-musician (helping with legit IG account unbans while making music) brings something different to the table. We've seen K-pop grow with international collabs, but when someone like Freya Fox – who's gone viral for her 2022 Life is Beautiful perf with Joel Kim Booster – gets teased with Lisa, it doesn't explode like it could. Remember the VMA talks about "Born Again" pushing K-pop boundaries with its English collabs? This rumor feels like it could continue that evolution, opening doors for more diverse crossovers. There is even an article about Lisa and Freya Fox I'm not jumping to conclusions if it's real or not, but the quick deletion has me curious about potential drama or just smart hype-building. And with Freya Fox's song touching on digital themes (perfect match for Lisa's rockstar vibe), the possibilities are exciting. What are your thoughts? Am I overthinking why this isn't bigger, or is there something to K-pop embracing more global talent like Freya Fox? submitted by /u/visualreverb [link] [comments]

Sources at r/Coachella believe the lineup drop is imminent. Who's most likely to be there or who do you want to see there (even if they aren't likely)? I'd love to see either TWICE or Stray Kids somewhere on the lineup. TWICE proved they can rock a festival with Lolla, and Stray Kids has the kind of high-energy music that would do well at Sahara. However, since they're JYP artists, and JYP has a partnership with Live Nation, this isn't likely. IVE have done well in their festival slots as well, I could see them getting picked up. BTS could headline with their album coming out in the spring, though I see them as more likely to headline in 2027, after their next tour. I think HYBE would want to take time to prepare their first-ever Coachella headlining set to be best it can be. We could finally get that BIGBANG set that was canceled in 2020, or a solo G-Dragon set, based on how well his album did. Rosé and/or Jisoo if they release new music this year, rounding out the last of the pinks having Coachella solo sets. Katseye seems to be all but guaranteed at this point with the viral success of Gnarly and the Gap commercial. I'd love to see Dreamcatcher on there, I think their cross-genre sound would draw a huge crowd, especially if they had a live backing band. That seems even more unlikely than ever now :( submitted by /u/desertmayhem [link] [comments]
