I'd like to preface by saying that I am a male. So if you want to say this brings forth some bias then sure. I understand that Katseye definitely takes elements from KPOP culture but its important to remember that they are a girl group not a KPOP group. Unironically, the songs Gabriella and in this case Gnarly feel like they fit the personas of the members much more than the "cutesy" songs like touch and gameboy even though they are great songs too. If you watch their reels and stuff like that they do a good bit of "sassy" skits. Even how they behave in other behind the scenes style videos, it all comes across as more raw and goofy. Im not saying that "touch" and songs a like feel dDisingenuous to character BUT even the group has said that "gnarly" made them feel like they could show the sides of themselves they have been able to and enjoyed it. With all this being said, I feel like i could connect more with "gnarly" even though it was kind of a crazy song. They even say that this song is for the "boring ass bitch(es)." In retrospect their other songs, while good, are fairly generic. This one was different and I like. submitted by /u/CrunchGD [link] [comments]
Hi! Yesterday I was looking for a song, I didn't see the rule against that (sorry). But I found the song. I decided to make a playlist with songs that are good but are not gonna be recommended on youtube a lot. So I won't have to look for them again in the future. In the top half I have the songs where it's most likely that you'll discover something new. And in the bottom half there's songs by well known artists that are not that big or I just wanted to save them. I tried to only put songs in that actually don't have many views, like 10 Million or under. There are a few that are above 10 million but not too many. I also didn't put every single song from the same artist some have just 1 song and if you're interested in more you have to search yourself :) If you have any suggestions to add I'll gladly listen to the songs :) And I'll probably also update it myself when I remember more songs. Legitimate_Stand9654 BicycleNo1181 Thank you for the chat yesterday I hope you find something you like and you don't know yet:) submitted by /u/2NE1SNSD [link] [comments]

People been saying kpop nowadays don't release anything fun anymore?? You guys are missing on a lot. Especially for girl group (I only listen to gg), I have been enjoying most of the 5th gg releases. From tripleS - Are You Alive? (best discography portfolio so far) to MEOVV - Drop Top to H2H - The Chase (generational debut song), RESCENE - Dejavu and we also have ILLIT, Baemon, QWER, KIOF. BDC, IZNA?!! Literally dont get where does the "no fun anymore" narrative comes from... **anyway check out tripleS they are the only group to have Hsu Nien Tzu submitted by /u/Sure_Analyst9370 [link] [comments]

For those who don't know about cosmosy they are the ones who came out with the song Lucky One where they all dressed up as white elves. I came across them on TikTok a while ago and thought the song was okay. I actually enjoyed their visuals for the song more than the song itself, but I didn't actually remember or know their name until now when I looked up lucky one on YouTube music. That got me thinking about why I haven't heard about them since that song came out and how barely anybody is talking about them. I know that a lot of K-pop groups go under the radar due to how many groups there are, but with their all white elf concept you would think that they would stand out at least a little bit more than other groups at least for their debut. Has anybody heard of them or is a fan of them? submitted by /u/MochaMilku [link] [comments]

I'm gonna play devils advocate. Sorry if my opinion is wrong: Katseye is pop. And they produce exactly what the pop industry does. And unfortunately most pop singers and songs are sexual. Sabrina carpenter, flo, chloe Bailey, the weekend, beyonce, ect. Most of them produce more sex appeal content cause that is what sells. People like citizen queen aren't as popular cause they don't write songs for 'male gaze' and don't dress as 'sexy'. little mix (one of their scandals was how little they dressed on stage. I think their song strip is about it) even old kpop was unfortunately sexual. Most groups hated their 'sex appeal' era like aoa. The truth is. Katseye produces pop music and sells like pop artists. The way they dress. Like: Sabrina, Chloe x Halle or olivia. Even some times Taylor swift in performances. Not saying they dress like this on their own free time. Their performances are good and have strong stage presence wether or not the song is good. submitted by /u/_Boreddd_ [link] [comments]
After ADP's success, i feel like there might be another coed group coming out this year just a gut feeling. High chances are from hybe imo. What do you guys think about it?and do you think co ed groups would become the new trend of kpop ? submitted by /u/justarandom_kpopstan [link] [comments]

I was curious of some examples of idols moving on and doing other things. I was recently thinking about Jini from nmixx and it made me think of this question. Did it work out better for some idols that left? Do some of them just go live a normal life? Was wondering some examples of songs too after they have moved on. submitted by /u/kpk777 [link] [comments]
