like yes you can surface-level complain about wanting all of them for a performance but this last video has triggered so many posts on twitter and tiktok and i’m starting to get really annoyed at the lack of any critical thinking yall on reddit probably understand but why do so many ppl on twt and tiktok not get that if they’re sitting out so often ITS ACTUALLY A GOOD THING!! like them being sick and hurt isn’t good obv but it’s bound to happen. they’re dancing and traveling and working hard, other kpop idols are constantly dealing with little injuries and illnesses and it’s just expected that they work through it. the fact that katseye’s management is taking a “let them rest and sit out whenever they need” approach is GOOD! sure we hear about the injuries more often but id rather that than find out in the behind the scenes that one of the girls was sick or in pain the whole time and for some reason there’s a lot of ppl who think rescheduling these shoots is just a simple phone call or some shit. or that hybe is willing to take a loss on the money every time the girls have a cold and can’t film. like im sorry but let’s not be children, they can’t reschedule a huge video shoot with an entire crew and set and probably a million moving pieces every single time one of the girls can’t dance. not to mention there’s not guarantee that when they reschedule it that all 6 will be in top shape that day either, or that there’s even a day free TO reschedule it! they’ve got packed schedules during cb season, like im sorry that you don’t like it when there’s only 5 but would you rather make their lives even harder by squishing even more stuff into the days they’re working??? that’s how they get injured!!! “but they can just wait, we don’t mind” you don’t know what’s going on behind the scenes!! you don’t know how busy they are or how much they have going on!! you aren’t their manager!! and i’m sorry but it’s been especially bad now that manon was the one missing bc yall shooters for manon go crazy but some of yall need a reality check. and another reason im starting to get really annoyed at all these posts is that hybe moniters the fuck out of social media. if they start to see that there’s too much of a negative reaction when a member is missing, do yall think they’re gonna say “oh i guess we need to be more flexible and reschedule these massive shoots whenever they’re hurt” NO! some higher up is gonna see that report and tell the team to stop being so lenient on the girls and to make them perform even when they’re hurt or sick!!! or hell, even the girls might see it and feel bad and start pushing themselves. and don’t think they won’t! i’ve seen it with my own faves and nothing hurts more than watching a behind the scenes video and finding out that they’re almost passing out and in pain but they won’t stop bc they don’t want to disappoint fans. so how about instead of whining and screaming everytime a member is missing, let’s appreciate that they’re allowed to sit out, and demand that their management lighten up their schedules so that they’re less likely to be hurt or sick and also if you think a member sitting out is a conspiracy against them and the company is sabatoging them, put down the phone and touch grass. seriously submitted by /u/golden_studio24 [link] [comments]
