About AI and people being unable to identify the use of generative Ai
So Nmixx just released a motion poster announcing their comeback and there has been a discussion about wheter "it's Ai", so one person directly asked the company in charge of creating this poster and they confirmed that it was made just using 3D tools. Nmixx has been doing this kind of poster since 2022. To be fair the style of this poster can be similar to some generative Ai styles (static background and little movement). It has gotten better with time and can be sometimes so similar to something artist make You can take what the company in charge of creating the poster said with a grain of salt, but if it's true it could demonstrate how Ai has affected the kpop industry, and how present it is, maybe in the future everyone will use it, even if it's not used as generative Ai some artist use it along side normal 3D tools to make things quicker. submitted by /u/sueueu6e36 [link] [comments]

3. It's inevitable that idols can't go on tours in many countries and that's okay

Came across a video on bilibili (sort of Youtube in China) saying Chinese fans are the most miserable because most Kpop idols can't tour in mainland CN. Similar sentiments can be heard from SEA, South American, African, Australasia and some Europe fans. I don't think it has anything with the idols/ companies "ignore" or "skip" any countries, they don't because they obviously can't. Logistics: not every major city has the necessary infrastructure to accommodate the influx of thousands of concert-goers, the stage set and equipments. Transport, schedule, personel, legal issues, all of these require insane amount of planning and coordinating with local promoter and venues. Venues: nobody can just wake up one day and book a random venue, it has to be booked several months before hand. Sometimes people complain about the size of the venues (too big, too small) but appropriate venues are sometimes booked by local sport teams already. Profit: let's face it touring is expensive, if the demand isn't met once investors tend to get cold feet. Tour promoter taking a chunk out of the revenue isn't helping either. Personally, i don't want my ult group to visit my country because of the profound lack of infrastructure. I understand that it hurts, but that's another thing we have to accept at the end of the day. submitted by /u/lu_tl97 [link] [comments]

10. Spring Day has departed the Melon Weekly Chart after a record-breaking 447 consecutive weeks

Spring Day by BTS has left the Melon weekly chart for the first time since its release on February 13, 2017. It thus spent a record-setting 447 consecutive weeks, or 8.57 years, on the weekly chart. It is the longest-charting song in Melon history. Spring Day was the first song to ever reach 1 billion streams on the platform, and it is still only one of two songs in the platform’s history to surpass 1 billion streams. It also holds the record for the most unique listeners of any song on the platform. Congratulations to Queen Spring Day and BTS for these remarkable achievements. submitted by /u/pussycontrolgonemad [link] [comments]

13. Idols you think have better vocal skills than people give them credit for?

  • 2 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

When people discuss about who has the best vocal skill its usually of course their main vocalists and how they are often perceived as a great singer. But which idols you think they don't really get a great vocal reputation or their vocal skills got overlooked because of something else? Sometimes they can be an idol with vocal position, but people overlook their skills because of an apparent fault that lowers their vocal reputation despite many of them being overexaggerated. In my opinion Soyeon gets a lot of flak in her vocals because people mainly don't really like her tone of singing. But she never really has any faults in her technique, constantly perform her vocal parts live, knows how to project her voice so it reaches the note she wanted, and has great musicality to ensure the pitch reaches her desired notes she wanted. I feel like people don't really give Nayeon the credits she deserved for her vocal skills. Her vocal range is not really the highest and I absolutely do blame JYPE for giving her insanely high notes for many of their comebacks and thus when sung on encores she was perceived as the weaker vocalist when she can't hit the higher notes consistently. But I do feel like people overlooked her overall vocal agility, vocal stamina, and her effort to ensure accurate pitch is heard, and its especially obvious in the recordings that she is very much impressive in giving CD like vocals, and managed to sing many of their songs in a quick, succession manner. Really, even if she's not the strongest vocalist you can't deny a lot of the reason she gets lots of parts and center parts is because of this too. San is rarely, if ever been talked about for his vocal skills because his appearance doesn't give out the vibes of someone with really strong vocal skills, especially since his performances are way more notable due to his insane stage presence. And I absolutely do think people should give more credits to his vocal skills, because surprisingly he can really sing out soft, melodic noises in a controlled manner, on top of having great vocal stamina that really boosted his performance on stage. Myung Jaehyun also deserves a lot of credit, he's not exactly is the best vocalist of his group because he's their main rapper, yet he consistently is able to sing many of the songs live, and with just how much of these songs require energy and stamina to perform, I rarely ever saw him struggling to sing. Very much obvious by how he can sing an encore alone without any members alongside him. Any others I should know? submitted by /u/EmanuelTheodorus [link] [comments]

16. I wish unpopular opinion posts included actual unpopular opinions instead of the same tired points

  • 4 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

See this type of posts could be really interesting if done right,as they could expose you to new perspectives you might not have thought of but it's always just people trying to humble artists they don't like. All I see are the same tired points, especially for hated ggs like blackpink and aespa. And it's gonna be prefaced like I KNOW they're gonna rip me to shreds and then it's just point that's been repeated for years and receives a huge amount of likes/upvotes and agreeing comments Like please,I want to read ACTUAL unpopular opinions,I want to see new perspectives, not necessarily critical, just something I haven’t read before. Other than the specific groups I mentioned, most people see it as an opportunity to shade the artists they don't like. Often times it's not even opinions, just straight up hate comments and if you call it out they're gonna hit you with the classic "oh you can't take my opinion, you're pressed" when it isn't phrased nor reads like a simple opinion, but a hate comment. So yeah, unpopular opinion posts are a lost art submitted by /u/Alive-Pitch-9180 [link] [comments]

Rumours or “facts” about certain idols that have been debunked but somehow still get mentioned years later. I’m curious which ones you’ve seen that people continue to believe even though they’re not true.
