Articles / Timeline 250422 This day marks one year since HYBE launched their audit of Min Hee Jin and ADOR's management. Happy(?) 1st anniversary of the Megathreads! 250502 The 3rd hearing for Min Hee Jin vs. Belift Lab was set to take place but postponed to July 18th at Belift Lab's request. Each side is due to present their arguments/documents regarding plagiarism issues at the next meeting. (Source: Maeil Kyungjae) 250530 We learned that ADOR had filed for 'indirect enforcement' after their injunction was granted and NewJeans performed at ComplexCon back in March (Filed on April 4th according to the statement from NewJeans' representatives linked below). On the 30th, the 52nd Division of the Seoul Central District court further granted this request. The 'indirect enforcement' ruling means that each individual member of NewJeans will be fined 1 billion won (approx. $725,000) if they continue with entertainment activities independent of ADOR, which would be in violation of the injunction. This enforcement with potential fines does NOT apply to any of NewJeans' independent activities between the granting of the injunction and the granting of this 'indirect enforcement'. These fines will only apply to future activities going forward, or at least until rulings with NewJeans' appeal or the main contract validity case changes anything (next hearing on June 5th). (Source: Chosun Biz, MK Sports) The Korea Herald: Court orders NewJeans to pay Ador 1 billion won for each unauthorized activity Discussion Post Korea JoongAng Daily: Court orders NewJeans members to pay ADOR $725,600 for every independent entertainment activity A statement by NewJeans' representatives was made later in the day primarily acknowledging the indirect enforcement ruling, but reiterating that it is temporary and will no longer have an effect if NewJeans win their appeal of the injunction. (Source: Ilgan Sports) The 2nd hearing for Source Music's damages lawsuit against Min Hee Jin took place at the 12th Civil Affairs Division of the Seoul Western District Court. (Quick recap: 1st was January 10th, 2nd was previously scheduled for March 14th, postponed per Source Music's request). Legal representatives were present. Source Music had a 20-minute presentation prepared, but Min Hee Jin's representatives objected to the inclusion of KakaoTalk messages in the presentation. They claimed the messages were illegally obtained and requested the hearing to be closed/private. Source Music denied the messages were obtained illegally, claiming they were gained from company devices with consent. The court went with a temporary compromise to keep the hearing public, but not allow discussion/display of the messages until they were reviewed again. A special hearing to review the messages will take place June 27th. (Source: Sports Today) 250605 The Seoul Central District Court Division 41 held the second hearing for ADOR seeking confirmation of validity for their exclusive contract with NewJeans. Only legal representatives were in attendance. NewJeans' side primarily argued that ADOR had not met their obligations and that their evidence they were preparing to support NewJeans' activities, like finding a new producer, was inadequate. ADOR's side argued that NewJeans' reasons for allegedly terminating their contract continually changed, indicating they are arbitrary and being made up with retroactive hindsight. The issue of some evidence being collected illegally also came up again from NewJeans' side. Judge Jung Hoe-Il specifically inquired if both/either sides were willing to come to an agreement, encouraging them to do so. NewJeans' representatives strongly indicated this was unlikely as the trust in ADOR had completely collapsed. ADOR's representatives indicated they could see negotiating an agreement once the court comes to a final decision. The 3rd hearing was set for July 24th. (Sources: X Sport News, Maeil Kyungjae) 250612 The next hearing regarding the Shareholder Agreement termination and exercising put/call options lawsuits between HYBE and Min Hee Jin was held at the Seoul Central District Court's 31st Division. Arguments from each side mostly re-tread what we've already covered. HYBE's side argued they were justified in ending the shareholder agreement due to the threat Min Hee Jin posed to the company. Min Hee Hin's side argued the timing of the audit/termination did not align purely with that concern and that some KakaoTalk messages and emails were obtained illegally and not admissable as evidence. HYBE also indicated they had a witness to give testimony at the next meeting, which the court accepted. The next hearing with closing arguments, was set for September 11th for both lawsuits. (Sources: Maeil Kyungjae, TV Daily, Sports Today) 250617 Following up from April 16th when NewJeans appealed the court's decision to uphold the injunction and halt on their independent activities, the Seoul High Court reaffirmed the earlier decision. The court rejected NewJeans' appeal. They determined there was no significant change in the material/arguments presented for the appeal and the original decision to grant ADOR's injunction was justified. There was further clarification that the management conflict between HYBE and Min Hee Jin, and her no longer being NewJeans' producer, did not constitute a valid argument for the alleged collapse of trust between ADOR and NewJeans. The group's withdrawal from ADOR is considered arbitrary, that their artistic freedom or activity is not impeded since they are able to do so within their exclusive contract, and that any damages resulting from attempting independent activities are self-inflicted. He must have been paid the big bucks to admit to using AI. Cause why would you say that? submitted by /u/Separate_Guava_6272 [link] [comments]
So Nmixx just released a motion poster announcing their comeback and there has been a discussion about wheter "it's Ai", so one person directly asked the company in charge of creating this poster and they confirmed that it was made just using 3D tools. Nmixx has been doing this kind of poster since 2022. To be fair the style of this poster can be similar to some generative Ai styles (static background and little movement). It has gotten better with time and can be sometimes so similar to something artist make You can take what the company in charge of creating the poster said with a grain of salt, but if it's true it could demonstrate how Ai has affected the kpop industry, and how present it is, maybe in the future everyone will use it, even if it's not used as generative Ai some artist use it along side normal 3D tools to make things quicker. submitted by /u/sueueu6e36 [link] [comments]
When people discuss about who has the best vocal skill its usually of course their main vocalists and how they are often perceived as a great singer. But which idols you think they don't really get a great vocal reputation or their vocal skills got overlooked because of something else? Sometimes they can be an idol with vocal position, but people overlook their skills because of an apparent fault that lowers their vocal reputation despite many of them being overexaggerated. In my opinion Soyeon gets a lot of flak in her vocals because people mainly don't really like her tone of singing. But she never really has any faults in her technique, constantly perform her vocal parts live, knows how to project her voice so it reaches the note she wanted, and has great musicality to ensure the pitch reaches her desired notes she wanted. I feel like people don't really give Nayeon the credits she deserved for her vocal skills. Her vocal range is not really the highest and I absolutely do blame JYPE for giving her insanely high notes for many of their comebacks and thus when sung on encores she was perceived as the weaker vocalist when she can't hit the higher notes consistently. But I do feel like people overlooked her overall vocal agility, vocal stamina, and her effort to ensure accurate pitch is heard, and its especially obvious in the recordings that she is very much impressive in giving CD like vocals, and managed to sing many of their songs in a quick, succession manner. Really, even if she's not the strongest vocalist you can't deny a lot of the reason she gets lots of parts and center parts is because of this too. San is rarely, if ever been talked about for his vocal skills because his appearance doesn't give out the vibes of someone with really strong vocal skills, especially since his performances are way more notable due to his insane stage presence. And I absolutely do think people should give more credits to his vocal skills, because surprisingly he can really sing out soft, melodic noises in a controlled manner, on top of having great vocal stamina that really boosted his performance on stage. Myung Jaehyun also deserves a lot of credit, he's not exactly is the best vocalist of his group because he's their main rapper, yet he consistently is able to sing many of the songs live, and with just how much of these songs require energy and stamina to perform, I rarely ever saw him struggling to sing. Very much obvious by how he can sing an encore alone without any members alongside him. Any others I should know? submitted by /u/EmanuelTheodorus [link] [comments]

See this type of posts could be really interesting if done right,as they could expose you to new perspectives you might not have thought of but it's always just people trying to humble artists they don't like. All I see are the same tired points, especially for hated ggs like blackpink and aespa. And it's gonna be prefaced like I KNOW they're gonna rip me to shreds and then it's just point that's been repeated for years and receives a huge amount of likes/upvotes and agreeing comments Like please,I want to read ACTUAL unpopular opinions,I want to see new perspectives, not necessarily critical, just something I haven’t read before. Other than the specific groups I mentioned, most people see it as an opportunity to shade the artists they don't like. Often times it's not even opinions, just straight up hate comments and if you call it out they're gonna hit you with the classic "oh you can't take my opinion, you're pressed" when it isn't phrased nor reads like a simple opinion, but a hate comment. So yeah, unpopular opinion posts are a lost art submitted by /u/Alive-Pitch-9180 [link] [comments]

Rumours or “facts” about certain idols that have been debunked but somehow still get mentioned years later. I’m curious which ones you’ve seen that people continue to believe even though they’re not true. It could be that or immature fans spreading misinformation on purpose. submitted by /u/Any_Contribution8287 [link] [comments]

Is anyone else confused about the Apple Music Global Chart? Like, what is Global? Is it not supposed to mean worldwide? So tell me why a song that is only charting in Japan is in the top 100 Global AM Music Chart, but songs that are charting in more than 20 countries are not? For example, the Girl group ROSE from Japan usually chart multiple songs on AM Global, but they only ever chart in Japan. Then you have groups like StrayKids, Katseye, etc charting in more than 20 countries, but getting no entry. Does that make sense? For anyone who doesn't know, Spotify combines all streams from the countries a song charts in, but Apple Music will give those countries points based on tier ranking. And unless you chart in tier one and tier two countries, there's no entry on the Global Chart. Is that even fair? So apparently, countries are divided into 4 tiers: Tier 1: United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Germany Tier 2: Australia, Canada, France, Italy, South Korea, Mexico, Russia, Thailand Tier 3: Belgium, Brazil, Switzerland, China, Colombia, Spain, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Ireland, India, Netherlands, New Zealand, Turkey, Taiwan, South Africa For you to chart in Global AM, u need to chart in at least one of these countries: the US, the UK, Japan, or Germany. And placed high, like the top 20 in 2 or top 50 in 3 out of 8 of these countries: Australia, Canada, France, Italy, South Korea, Mexico, Russia, Thailand. Something like that. submitted by /u/Accomplished_Low2452 [link] [comments]
I first thought what If we think about how idols go through training and stuff wouldn't it be cool if we saw the entire process from beginning to end. Then i thought what about livestreaming everything like a marathon like kai cenat is doing but i kind of thought that would be hard especially for young trainees. Then why not have streamers do it and train kpop style and so i looked up who can sing and already has a fanbase and there's enough to the point of pushing a group out. from what i see a lot of them are really good if they had actual training they can be a great singing group(probably no dancing) like fuslie, fanfan, QuarterJade, extraemily(for Rap), and maya. These are the ppl i see that would be good together that have talent and a big fanbase on top of being streamers where there job guarantees they have great and entertaining personality's. if they can go full kpop training, make music and livestream evey thing i feel that would make a group u feel attached to cause u can see the struggle without the media filter. Plus they already have fans so there no worries about them being a flop group. Is this a good idea? submitted by /u/Either_Lobster_9882 [link] [comments]
