And by this i mean in the vein of you're "saving it for a rainy day"-- like you KNOW the songs will be so good you purposefully leave a few for when they go on hiatus. I'm making this bc I remembered when I accidentally exhausted Boynextdoor's discography back when they literally only had 8 songs and I played them so much that I caught my housemates humming One and Only while washing dishes. I vowed never again. I have a couple of Red Velvet tracks saved up from their earlier albums. I also had to stop myself from finishing every song on RIIZE's library because fuck why are the songs so good???? I just listened to the Sealook collab songs and JESUS CHRIST????? ALL THIS FOR SOME CARTOON SEALS???? Anyone have any of their own examples? submitted by /u/Unsincerity [link] [comments]

1.797. Katseyes live performances in america are bland and boring

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I have seen a couple of katseyes live shows in america and they are talented asf and good performers but there is always something lacking in my opinion. They stand in the middle of the stage and dance alone with no background dancers and no other special effects going on and it makes it seem like a dance group on youtube doing cover of the fav artists in a mall. Im not sure if im missing something maybe because they just debuted or what but I dont understand how bighit, a multi million dollar company, cant invest in some more background dancers and a bit more jazz to their live performances in america. Why does it have to be so bland???? submitted by /u/Ok-Trip8363 [link] [comments]

1.801. BEP produced the biggest Twice hits why didn't it translate and sustain Stayc?

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

If Black Eyed Pilseung made Twice's Cheer up, TT, Likey, Fancy ChungHa's Gotta Go, Apink's %%, And others Why didn't they hit it really big with Stayc? They were so good the first few years So Bad, Asap, Run2u, Teddy Bear but largely in the middle of the 4th gen groups now. Was it changing musical taste, just 4th gen competition, bad decisions? And why do people who always complain they miss old Twice music don't go listen to Stayc? submitted by /u/LoveMinaMyoi [link] [comments]

1.802. Repetitive Concept for Fifth Generation Boy Groups

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I've seen a lot of criticism on girl groups for debuting with similar kitschy, cutesy, Y2K concepts. Some examples of this include ILLIT, KiiKii, Hearts2Hearts, etc. Oftentimes, it is pointed out that all of 5th generation girl groups copy one another in concept. However, at the very least, there are groups like IZNA, MEOVV, and BabyMonster who are debuting with strong, girl crush concepts. What I don't often see criticism of is boy group concepts. Groups like RIIZE, TWS, KickFlip, and even BIGHIT's upcoming boy group CORTIS all look like they are debuting with similar cutesy, fresh boy concepts. However, it seems like this is not often pointed out. I understand that K-netizens prefer these concepts and bring in a lot of popularity, but why are there no boy groups debuting with strong concepts, like Stray Kids or ENHYPEN in fifth generation? I was wondering if anyone feels the same way, as big fan of these stronger male groups. Let me know what you think about future boy group concepts. submitted by /u/corn-in-a-can [link] [comments]

1.804. Something about AHOF needs to be addressed, specifically their apparent support for the manslaughter country.

  • 2 weeks ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Last Wednesday, AHOFโ€™s official X account posted a collage featuring a specific member during their Japan fan meeting. The post was visually aesthetic and well-curated at first glance. Butโ€ฆ One of the photos included in the collage showed a logo of a brand from that country. Whatโ€™s more concerning is that it was shown alongside with that brand which is the Starbucks logo, a brand that many are currently boycotting due to its alleged ties to Zionism. I was genuinely shocked. I always thought AHOF was an unproblematic group, but apparently, not entirely. Eventually, the post was quickly taken down after fans noticed the Starbucks logo. But still, the fact that it was posted in the first place is disappointing. When you're in the public eye, you have a responsibility to be aware of what you're sharing, especially when it carries political or cultural weight. Regarding the Starbucks issue: I understand that some people continue to support Starbucks, and I get it. For many, itโ€™s more than just a brand, itโ€™s a place tied to memories: late-night study sessions, hangouts with friends, or just moments of comfort. Supporting a brand doesnโ€™t always mean you align with every single thing the company stands for. It just means you see value in its place in your life. That said, people also have every right to boycott if they feel strongly about what that brand represents. Whatโ€™s important is to keep discussions respectful. Please donโ€™t assume those who continue to go there are heartless or uninformed, many are just trying to make sense of it all, like everyone else. The fans still support them until now even tho the sign is already shown about how they are zionists. submitted by /u/No-Battle-9379 [link] [comments]
