I just saw more footage of bodyguards shoving crowds around an airport and fans cheering about it, and it made me want to review the 2022 incident at ICN airport because that's REAL BAD crowd control. The first I heard about this was that an idol was almost trampled by fans. I expected this to be exaggerated, and was surprised to see it was actually an insanely close call when i saw the clips: here https://youtu.be/tjcmm2V0Y6o?si=VL1ausDXdMnUG5ys To start off, there is no such thing as a good crowd or a bad crowd, there's only good or bad crowd CONTROL. Crowds need to be handled like a body of water: never assumgonna be rational, it will only go where it is directed, you need to have proper infrastructure in place. When you don't direct a crowd appropriately, crowds will be destructive. The only argument should be over whether or not crowds should be allowed, but once one has been allowed, no single person in the crowd is at fault. They can only go with the tide. So, the crowd was initially held to the side, away from the doors, to take photos as the members entered. So far, so good. https://preview.redd.it/5px2qx7pbuhf1.png?width=652&format=png&auto=webp&s=7f81b9be7d1f1137fb2cb7bf3f42f2d24417707e The body guards and staff were mostly in the front of the group. I believe someone saw the majority of the body guards move inside and thought that included all of the members. The crowd was released and allowed to follow the members into the airport, from behind. However, there were still three members entering the airport: Yuta, Jungwoo, and Doyoung. Now we have a bottleneck. https://preview.redd.it/p3jkmbssbuhf1.png?width=652&format=png&auto=webp&s=26771b0d2c69e43761182e552c8cfc4475d37705 At the entrance, the members had to go single file to get through the door due to the rush, that skinny guy Doyoung coming up last. https://preview.redd.it/7ylgkjtwbuhf1.png?width=459&format=png&auto=webp&s=fd3705e6a0f273b66e898fc38f36571bc6cc05ba Still fine as long as everyone keeps cool and doesn't get overly aggressive.... oh wait. The bodyguards, who had been shoving people away, either didn't realize members were coming up from behind and started shoving fans/photographers behind them, or there was a cascading effect when they shoved one to the side. But either way, they shoved a fan away who crashed into this camera guy. The camera guy collapsed into Doyoung, and he fell. This is worse case scenario and could've meant very serious injuries or worse. Doyoung was on the ground with the crowd coming from BEHIND. https://preview.redd.it/xjfcl860cuhf1.png?width=337&format=png&auto=webp&s=fcef1398045c7b3a47c5a7dd61cafd9fe2822e76 One fan almost stepped on him and had to step OVER him to keep from trampling him. From this it's clear there were two major points of failure: the airport released the fans too early and the body guards aggressive, sloppy crowd control. Yeah, just shoving someone away solves an immediate problem... but it can cause a bigger issue and isn't good crowd control in a situation like this. It's lazy and passing the buck on, and you won't be able to stop what happens next in a crowd this big. The rest of the bodyguards ahead of Doyoung are just watching, unable to do anything about it when the crowd starts moving OVER the person they were supposed to protect. Frustrating to see and silly fans cheer this behavior on. Should the crowd stay home? Sure, but there were people who were hired to keep the situation safe and instead operated like they were playing a game of hockey. submitted by /u/gotgainsx [link] [comments]

Yesterday I did District 1, you reaped ROSÉ from BLACKPINK, Wendy from Red Velvet, and V and Jungkook from BTS. I am setting the “name” to the idol’s government name, but the “nickname” that usually appears when you actually run the simulator is set to their stage name. (However, ROSÉ is “ROSIE” because the simulator doesn’t allow the special characters for the É.) I will use 2nd Quarter Quell rules (48 players, 2 boys 2 girls for each of the 12 districts). For each district I have a pool of female and male idols to choose from to ensure group variety. I more or less randomly assigned what I believed to be 12-ish popular girl and boy groups to the districts, merging small groups or adding a couple soloists to pad numbers out and make the chances of a specific member of a large group being chosen more fair. Here’s a link to the masterdoc with the rule specifications. I’m not requiring you to read this but it’s recommended. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1DB95TAjnpEU97Dous1kPkPtENfc4lJeffZOTknLXcg8/edit?usp=drivesdk I intend this to be just for fun, don’t take it too seriously, don’t send hate, it’s just a “what if”. (Oh, and to keep it interesting, try to vote for who you think will do well or at least create drama, play as if you, the fandom, are the district citizens.) Single comment with the most upvotes wins. Separate idols so it’s 1 mention per comment, making it easier to see where the votes are going. (You can comment multiple times to pick multiple idols.) Try not to repeat idols and keep discussion in the replies under their first mention. Full Cast: District 1 Girls: BLACKPINK, Red Velvet Boys: BTS District 2 Girls: ITZY, Lee Chaeyeon (former IZ*ONE), former IOI soloists: Jeon Somi & Chungha Boys: GOT7 District 3 Girls: Dreamcatcher Boys: ENHYPEN District 4 Girls: NMIXX Boys: TNX, P1Harmony District 5 Girls: LE SSERAFIM, former IZ*ONE soloists except Chaeryeong’s sister: Jo Yuri, Kwon Eunbi, Yena Boys: TXT, XLOV District 6 Girls: IVE Boys: MONSTA X District 7 Girls: BABYMONSTER Boys: TREASURE District 8 Girls: MAMAMOO, i-dle Boys: ATEEZ District 9 Girls: TWICE Boys: Stray Kids District 10 Girls: æspa, STAYC Boys: xikers District 11 Girls: Kep1er Boys: ZEROBASEONE District 12 Girls: LOONA Boys: SEVENTEEN For two small groups combined, I will enforce one member from each group. For small group + soloists, I will allow 2 group members or 2 soloists if you guys want it that way. I will not stop a resurfaced ex-member (ie Soojin, Wonho, Mashiro and Yeseo, etc) from being reaped if the fandom wants to bring them up and vote them in. Today is for District 2. For the girls, the reaping pool is the ITZY members, Lee Chaeyeon, and former IOI soloists Jeon Somi and Chungha. For the boys, the reaping pool is GOT7. (It made more sense in my head to put Chaeyeon in the same district as her sister instead of with the other former IZ*ONE soloists.) submitted by /u/541Y0K4G3J1R0 [link] [comments]
We got 4/5 members revealed in that iconic hello Fifty fifty trailer. What have been your favorite songs or moments with these lovely girls ? Fav songs for me : Starry Night and Heart Break Fav Moment : recently it’s Keena’s bday video or their when you say my name Keena video. submitted by /u/Moonlighteverafter [link] [comments]
It's been one year since this dropped. Since their reformation Fifty Fifty have gone on to release 2 Mini Albums, Tour the US, perform globally and have achieved a mini Hit with their recent title track Pookie which peaked in the top 40s of The Melon Top 100. We can also talk about their physical sales crossing 100,000. Have you listened to the new fifty fifty ? Comparisons are inevitable. Did you change your mind through out this past year? Gravity, Pookie are very sonically different from Lovin' me and Higher which were songs that grabbed alot of attention. Their International streaming isn't bad but alot of it is still carried by Cupid (still their Spotify monthly listeners aren't bad and their songs are still getting streamed). Korea is definitely their biggest supporter so far. Another discussion to be had is soon this group will have been Fifty Fifty Longer than the previous iteration. Which opens up the impact vs legacy argument, which group is the "real Fifty Fifty"? What are your thoughts ? submitted by /u/TheSirenSounds [link] [comments]
I realized posting "your top 5 most played kpop songs" that yes I do love those but those aren't THE songs. It's like I only play my absolute favorites when I need to hear something that good, maybe so I don't get tired of it? Not to say you don't play songs you like on repeat, I absolutely do, but not my most favorite. submitted by /u/Excellent-Passage-36 [link] [comments]
Pick any letter from A to Z and I will tell you my favourite song title which starts with that letter. If there are several songs which I love almost the same, I will answer separately so that it can be upvoted. If I don't have the song for the certain letter, you can suggest me one) submitted by /u/TheOnlyHarlemShinobi [link] [comments]

Source: https://www.billboard.com/pro/stray-kids-dominate-world-tour-k-pop-boxscore-records/?taid=689636777c47c500014b957f The Dominate Tour ended in Rome on July 30th. After almost 1 entire year of tour and 54 concerts, reports are finally starting to come out about it's success. Billboard just published an article about the reported shows of the tour, so far 31/54. The biggest highlights being: Biggest European leg of any K-pop acts in history - 8 shows. 391K attendance. $64.5M revenue. Bestselling and highest grossing North American leg of any K-pop tour - 13 shows. 491K attendance. $76.2M revenue. Bestselling and highest-grossing tour leg in Latin America of any K-pop tour. - 8 shows. 361K attendance. $41.1M revenue. Sold 1.3M tickets across Latin America, North America, Europe, and Hong Kong with $186M revenue (31/54 reported shows; via Billboard) I can not wait to see the full report of all the shows by at least Touring Data, but I am beyond proud of Stray Kids growth and I feel like it is even more special with them being a self-produced group. At the end of the day, charts, streams and awards are all important but nothing is more impactful than touring power. submitted by /u/No-Bookkeeper-5813 [link] [comments]

I have seen a couple of katseyes live shows in america and they are talented asf and good performers but there is always something lacking in my opinion. They stand in the middle of the stage and dance alone with no background dancers and no other special effects going on and it makes it seem like a dance group on youtube doing cover of the fav artists in a mall. Im not sure if im missing something maybe because they just debuted or what but I dont understand how bighit, a multi million dollar company, cant invest in some more background dancers and a bit more jazz to their live performances in america. Why does it have to be so bland???? submitted by /u/Ok-Trip8363 [link] [comments]

And by this i mean in the vein of you're "saving it for a rainy day"-- like you KNOW the songs will be so good you purposefully leave a few for when they go on hiatus. I'm making this bc I remembered when I accidentally exhausted Boynextdoor's discography back when they literally only had 8 songs and I played them so much that I caught my housemates humming One and Only while washing dishes. I vowed never again. I have a couple of Red Velvet tracks saved up from their earlier albums. I also had to stop myself from finishing every song on RIIZE's library because fuck why are the songs so good???? I just listened to the Sealook collab songs and JESUS CHRIST????? ALL THIS FOR SOME CARTOON SEALS???? Anyone have any of their own examples? submitted by /u/Unsincerity [link] [comments]
