🎱Blackpink are so unprofessional 10 years in the industry the same songs over and over again no full album songs have no meanings 🎱Katseye need better songs and concept because gnarly and the beautiful chaos aesthetic will not work another time 🎱BTS needs to not playing dumb with sponsorships 🎱V likes to play dumb 🎱New jeans were to arrogant when you get that type of popularity coming from a company like hybe you need to be humble and stabilize yourself they were playing the wolf and the lamb but they need to understand that it work everybody has contacts they were privileged if it weren't for hybe they wouldn't be as popular 🎱They need to stop debuting Minor because they debut as minor but they started training much younger 🎱I think being fan of younger idols is weird and awkward 🎱I think fans forget that idols are workers and the companies have employees and hierarchy that need to stay in place 🎱Idol worshipping is a scary phenomenon because that idol poops everyday like you can be a fan but worship them no no 🎱ADP debut songs were not good at all 🎱 Blackpink are the perfect example of at the right place and at the right time they debuted at a time where girl crush concept was lacking and they took advantage of that submitted by /u/LogComplete5617 [link] [comments]
Number 1 would be the most extroverted and the last place is the idol who is the most introverted. submitted by /u/Sea-Republic8892 [link] [comments]
Watching the bts of the creative process is one of my favorite things to watch. Groups do often release bts content but most of the time it's the recording process. Are there any shows or videos that go deep into the creative process, from the creation of the beat to adding the lyrics? And the thought process behind each song? submitted by /u/AdEmergency6619 [link] [comments]
Last september, Yeonjun made noise with his first mixtape, GGUM, a hip hop track very different from TXT's original concept. I liked this choice for him because something less dramatic wouldve been forgotten within a week. I also loved the lyrics, talking about his hard work towards his idol dream 'Been dreaming for this moment Started from my little room' 'I stick to this scene I've endured and come this far' . For his solo track on The Star Chapter :Together released late july, he picked Ghost Girl, a reggae rock track co-written by YUNGBLUD. I absolutely adored it, and it was well received by the fandom, charting side by side on kcharts with the title track 'Beautiful Strangers'. Some days ago, Yeonjun went live on his instagram (@yawnzzn) for the first time ever. The live lasted about 40 seconds, collecting around 100k views . The recording, shared by fans on twitter, showed Yeonjun in his most casual attire ( a rick owens vest along with jeans under a skirt orned with a fashionable belt and shoes bigger than my will to live ) moving along a music snippet. The potential new track is everything i could hope for: heavy guitar, drums, based on the lyrics 'wanna talk to you' sung with determination, i'm sensing a romantic hard rock track. Needless to say i am more than excited as rock is my favorite genre at the moment. I am hoping the album is 5 tracks long or more, I'd love a RnB track from him as well as something more acoustic sounding. To be sincere, Yeonjun is probably the member i have the least in common with on a music taste level ,his recommandations shifting between what i would play during a warm afternoon and the soundtrack of a late night drive. Still he shared that he liked city pop, and recommended some artists i do listen to regularly like laufey, mitski, kendrick lamar and beabadoobee so i hope we get a track reminiscient of those sides of him. Overall Choi Yeonjun is a multifaceted person with a cool public persona and the sweetest silliest behavior off stage, i definitely believe his album will showcase that contrast and challenge his already established image in the minds of kpop stans. submitted by /u/Justanannoyingintp [link] [comments]
For anyone who's into kpop and mlp! Feel free to include suggestions https://open.spotify.com/playlist/7LZhAIh4KxbtkDNIwYweVl?si=TTOyxeSvToGjk4hVLGeiPg&pi=N8IEyhw6SIWAG submitted by /u/Due_Employ8893 [link] [comments]
Back in the late 2000s (this was when I was in high school!) Wonder Girls were one of the biggest names in K-pop and even tried to break into the U.S. market with “Nobody.” They were on the Jonas Brothers tour, performed on American TV, and had some exposure but they never reached the level of mainstream or international success that we now see with groups like Blackpink, BTS, or even newer ones like NewJeans. That made me wonder, do you think Wonder Girls couldn’t achieve long term U.S. or global success? Was it management decisions or just that K-pop wasn’t as globally popular yet? Would love to hear everyone’s thoughts! submitted by /u/savingrace0262 [link] [comments]
My cousin was a big fan of Super Junior, TVXQ, Sister, etc, and had many kpop posters on his bedroom walls. Naturally whenever I was at his place to visit, I was enamored by cool looking posters with wild and crazy outfits and hair, 8 year old me was hooked. I got into 2ne1, girls generation, VIXX and my ults at the time, exo. Very quickly BTS debuted and I was hooked deep into kpop for years, I kept up with all the news, comebacks, nugu groups that had no mvs and the songs were only playable on niche streaming sites. Learned dances, the entire kpop fan experience. Then i just kinda died out, the market got oversaturated, the groups I like either disbanded or started making music I felt eh about. Le Sserafim and twice kept me going but after (twice) chaeyeons scandal thats kinda when I fully checked out. 2025 has been a disaster in kpop when it comes to controversy (Tarzan im glaring at you) and mixed opinions on comebacks. I want to get back into it, invest my time in lore and fun Fandom moments. But how? I don't even know which groups to start with, I like boy and girl groups, all genres im open to. Imagine I was a brand new kpop fan, what songs would you tell me to add to a Playlist to get back into kpop. My current Playlists newest songs come from 2023, everything else is 2008-2018 so im incredibly out of the loop. submitted by /u/Particular-Drive7075 [link] [comments]
Usually when news or announcements drop, regardless of the content, there's usually some kind of build up to it. Maybe not regular updates about upcoming news, but just seeing how things had been progressing from the public eye, you weren't really surprised. For example, I don't think anyone was surprised when some Red Velvet members didn't resign. Saddened maybe, definitely. But not surprised. I'm asking if there's a news that dropped so suddenly or out of the blue that you can truly say you didn't see it coming. I'll say I was caught off guard when the news broke that Everglow hadn't received monetary compensation over the course of their career. You could argue it isn't that surprising considering the way their contract was likely set up, like after the news dropped and people started connecting the dots to find the reason they ended up in that situation. But for me it was still a major "wait, what, how" moment. submitted by /u/SageSageofSages [link] [comments]
🥇NCT - Mark (33 upvotes) 🥈LE SSERAFIM - Huh Yunjin (10 upvotes) 🥉BLACKSWAN - Fatou (6 upvotes) Main Vocalist: NMIXX - Lily Main Dancer: KATSEYE - Daniela Main Rapper: SEVENTEEN - Vernon Leader: Stray Kids - Bangchan Center: Stray Kids - Felix Visual: KATSEYE - Manon Ace: NCT - Mark Rules: - top comment (by upvotes) after roughly 24 hours will be chosen - all gen is allowed - both male and female idols are allowed, but I will not enforce any forced co-ed - the K-pop idol must be from / has spent significant time growing up in an overseas, non-Asian country ("significant time" is defined by general consensus) - an overseas country is one that is not Asian (NOT Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, Thailand, etc.) => examples of eligible countries include Canada, USA, Australia, NZ - try to upvote comments instead of commenting the same idol multiple times - have fun! submitted by /u/CynthiaRH142857 [link] [comments]

As someone who loves vocalists and ballads, I think falsettos are the best form of vocal expression/tone/technique (or whatever you call it, I'm not a professional or trained in any form), better than high notes, even the long emotional high notes (but I am willing to hear arguments). I was recently appreciating Soobin's amazing falsettos before I stumbled on a SKZ killing voice clip and decided to go watch the full video. Then, as I'm appreciating the amazing vocal skills of Han and the emotional notes of Seungmin, Lee Know decides to pull out some FALSETTOS???!!!! Like, I know they're part of the song and he didn't just randomly pull them out, but they were so beautiful that I just had to physically pause and tell myself to not go back and relisten to it because I told myself to watch the video in one go, no pausing or skipping or rewatching. But after finishing the video I just couldn't stop thinking about it and had to relisten to Lee Know's Tiger Inside cut because his falsettos/vocals in it sound better every time I listen to it. Falsettos are also one of the reasons I started/continue stanning Soobin if I am being completely honest because they just sound so heavenly (and there are a lot of people who agree because he has the title of "Falsetto King"). They are also one of the reasons I continue stanning Seungkwan (he was originally my bias but it's a very rocky position in Seventeen sometimes) because his falsettos and entire presence in Leemujin Service was so heavenly (but specifically his short cover of Traffic Light), though Hoshi's falsettos are definitely strong competition. But I feel like no one else appreciates falsettos, so many people who like vocalists like those who sing the highest or stablest notes, which don't get me wrong, they are great and I like them too, but they just don't and never will hit the same as falsettos. Emotions, voice/vocal tone, and skills matter, but when you sing falsettos, nothing else matters (IMO). Falsettos hit deeper and scratch that part of my brain I only vaguely know exists but just really needed the scratch and more general attention. Falsettos are so underrated and more songs need them because THERE AREN'T ENOUGH HEAVENLY FALSETTOS IN THE WORLD (and there never will be). They are superior to every type of vocal expression and technique or expression, but I am open to arguements (maybe not today because Lee Know really sang those falsettos so well and they are still scratching my brain so much that he is my current bias wrecker but I am loyal to my original SKZ bias, except for today). submitted by /u/acazpehyr [link] [comments]
My ranking is 1: JYP - has some, not that serious tho 2: SM - Lawsuits over unfair contracts and forced departures 3: HYBE - New Jeans 4: YG - Burning Sun & Drugs, LONG group hiatus/inactivity This is includes ANY controversial/scandal matter how big of small, including group hiatus. This is only for idols. submitted by /u/HailzButtercup [link] [comments]
