125. ENHYPEN Desire Unleash Comeback Thoughts

  • 1 day ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

ENHYPEN just had a comeback that netizens have been giving mixed reviews on. Some enjoy the more mature vampire concept, while others think it’s too much and inappropriate. What are your thoughts on Desire Unleash? Do you think that HYBE is over sexualizing ENHYPEN? Or do you think that HYBE is trying to explore different concepts following their vampire storyline? submitted by /u/ceral69 [link] [comments]

126. BTS may have to do a semi Eras Tour level tour for their comeback tour

  • 1 day ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

In the US, the normal 1-2 nights in NY, LA, Chicago, and Texas won’t be enough. Yeah they won’t do as many shows in the US but they might have to do something like that. Definitely more than one city in each region. HYBE might just do that because a large scale US tour would rake in hella money, though I definitely don’t want them to be on tour for ~3 years submitted by /u/why_do_i_have_dog [link] [comments]

128. Blackpink must be putting in overtime to finish the comeback and prepare for the concert

There is no way YG will cancel the initial dates so the girls are probably putting in hella hours to make their deadline, given the first show is in a little less than one month (pun not intended) Or at least I’m hoping they are because I’m seeing them in NY in late July 😭 submitted by /u/why_do_i_have_dog [link] [comments]

130. "Harassment doesn't go against our Community Standards"

  • 1 day ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

A few days ago, someone posted about Instagram not doing anything towards nasty comments targetting IU. I mentioned in the comments that someone was constantly harrassing Purple Kiss' Swan and how my reports went ignored. I'd just like to show the response I got from Instagram and the "not harrassment" that I reported. Keep in mind, that has been going for months (at least), on every single post that includes Swan at all. They also reply to normal comments from actual fans, making fun of them for liking who they call "an overweight idol". I know we're supposed to ignore haters, but since Purple Kiss is a relatively small group, these gifs and comments make up the majority of the comment section of each post. Since their team has apparently reviewed the reports, Instagram is actively allowing harassment. This is worse than inaction. So thank you, Instagram. You never fail to disappoint ♡ submitted by /u/akavirijin [link] [comments]

131. Are we against sasaengs and obsessed fansite? why are so many people defending them?

  • 1 day ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I'm honestly confused by how some K-pop fans or some regular netizens, respond to sasaeng or greedy fansite behavior. There’s this recent incident going around, at the airport, one of Hearts2Hearts bodyguards roughly pulled a woman who was trying to get close to the members, she had a DSLR camera and forced her way to get close to the member. Now here’s the part that’s confusing: the reaction, a lot of people are angry at the bodyguard. They’re calling SM out for aggressive security, saying the guard was too violent, and even somehow blaming the members themselves (?? I genuinely don’t know what people expect the members to do in that situation). Then later, another video came out showing that the woman actually managed to making a physical contact and bump hard into one of the members, that caused the guard to react the way he did. Still, even after that, a lot of people are defending her and criticizing SM’s security. This got me wondering, how are people actually seeing sasaengs or obsessive fansites nowadays? We all know sasaengs or some fansite have done a lot of messed up stuff in the past, you’d think there’d be a general agreement that they’re a problem. But apparently in this case is not? Especially in Korean forums, this has turned into a heated debate, with many siding with the woman. Especially in Korea, where's a lot of cases happened in there, it’s wild to see so many people still taking the woman side. What do you think? Do you think the guard went too far no matter what? Or She just deserve it? submitted by /u/matt_vaghn [link] [comments]

132. The Kiss of Life Situation Is Just Annoying Now

  • 1 day ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I seen that KIOF possibly released another apology and now fans are starting to retract their statements and feel bad for the group because of the company’s statement about taking legal action against malicious rumors and comments and the whole thing just feels so calculated that I’m not even mad anymore, I’m just annoyed. At this point, just accept that you lost a portion of your fandom and some support from casual listeners and take it on the chin. This constant back and forth to milk to situation is so obvious. It’s pathetic. Their company definitely had a step by step plan and now we’re seeing it for what it is: a pathetic attempt to create buzz. I don’t wish for anyone to ever have to deal with threats and malicious comments but this “hate train” the company, the members and their fans are trying to create is crazy. Now trying to spin the situation so that people feel sorry for them is annoying and I just want them to stop. For someone who’s getting threats, they’re walking around like nothing ever happened and I don’t doubt that some people have been saying heinous things but I just find it all a bit interesting that this is happening right before a comeback and a tour (in America, if I’m not mistaken). At this point, I’m not surprised anymore. I always felt like companies set up stuff like this for attention then claim their groups are being harassed so that people quickly move on out of fear of being sued or having their accounts taken away. But I just accepted it and continued to enjoy kpop but this is so obvious that it’s laughable. submitted by /u/BonBonnie0 [link] [comments]

Saw a store in Busan stocked with lightsticks! One for each group, all totally unique. Fans carry them like glowing badges. It feels like genius merch that builds identity and visual community. But I’ve never seen this outside Kpop. What’s up with that? Cultural thing? Logistics? Or do other fans just not buy into it?
