I'm honestly confused by how some K-pop fans or some regular netizens, respond to sasaeng or greedy fansite behavior. Thereās this recent incident going around, at the airport, one of Hearts2Hearts bodyguards roughly pulled a woman who was trying to get close to the members, she had a DSLR camera and forced her way to get close to the member. Now hereās the part thatās confusing: the reaction, a lot of people are angry at the bodyguard. Theyāre calling SM out for aggressive security, saying the guard was too violent, and even somehow blaming the members themselves (?? I genuinely donāt know what people expect the members to do in that situation). Then later, another video came out showing that the woman actually managed to making a physical contact and bump hard into one of the members, that caused the guard to react the way he did. Still, even after that, a lot of people are defending her and criticizing SMās security. This got me wondering, how are people actually seeing sasaengs or obsessive fansites nowadays? We all know sasaengs or some fansite have done a lot of messed up stuff in the past, youād think thereād be a general agreement that theyāre a problem. But apparently in this case is not? Especially in Korean forums, this has turned into a heated debate, with many siding with the woman. Especially in Korea, where's a lot of cases happened in there, itās wild to see so many people still taking the woman side. What do you think? Do you think the guard went too far no matter what? Or She just deserve it? submitted by /u/matt_vaghn [link] [comments]
I seen that KIOF possibly released another apology and now fans are starting to retract their statements and feel bad for the group because of the companyās statement about taking legal action against malicious rumors and comments and the whole thing just feels so calculated that Iām not even mad anymore, Iām just annoyed. At this point, just accept that you lost a portion of your fandom and some support from casual listeners and take it on the chin. This constant back and forth to milk to situation is so obvious. Itās pathetic. Their company definitely had a step by step plan and now weāre seeing it for what it is: a pathetic attempt to create buzz. I donāt wish for anyone to ever have to deal with threats and malicious comments but this āhate trainā the company, the members and their fans are trying to create is crazy. Now trying to spin the situation so that people feel sorry for them is annoying and I just want them to stop. For someone whoās getting threats, theyāre walking around like nothing ever happened and I donāt doubt that some people have been saying heinous things but I just find it all a bit interesting that this is happening right before a comeback and a tour (in America, if Iām not mistaken). At this point, Iām not surprised anymore. I always felt like companies set up stuff like this for attention then claim their groups are being harassed so that people quickly move on out of fear of being sued or having their accounts taken away. But I just accepted it and continued to enjoy kpop but this is so obvious that itās laughable. submitted by /u/BonBonnie0 [link] [comments]

What's your dream collab? Anyone counts, k-pop groups, soloists, or even non kpop artists. Personally, my dream collab would be between Hwasa and RM, both of them are fire rappers and I can't imagine a better duo. submitted by /u/cremebrule00 [link] [comments]

Saw a store in Busan stocked with lightsticks! One for each group, all totally unique. Fans carry them like glowing badges. It feels like genius merch that builds identity and visual community. But Iāve never seen this outside Kpop. Whatās up with that? Cultural thing? Logistics? Or do other fans just not buy into it? If you somehow still donāt know who that is Tory Lanez is an abuser dude that shoot famous female rapper Megan The Staillion and now has an army of pure misogynist men who harass her every day for (rightfully) sending him into court and winning. submitted by /u/maonyuz [link] [comments]

Before even seeing the lineup I already knew that a mixed group under him was already a bad idea but they release the promotional picture and.....we have a guy who calls himself a jungle man because he has a little bit of tan and wears braids? I mean his Instagram is a mess with him even listing his location as "in the jungle" sometimesšš Obviously I will not be supporting but my big question is What on earth does Teddy hope to achieve with this? I am genuinely curious. submitted by /u/lilacprincess03 [link] [comments]

I know men also have a big difficulty to escape the hate train in K-Pop, for the dumbest reasons possible but women are on another level. People making fun of Ahyeon's whole personality and saying she wants to be a Jennie wannabe, when all I see in this girl is she just wants attention for the best. I think when you're a member who entered after debut like Yeri from Red Velvet, you feel untouched with your group's fanbase because people will start saying "Oh, for me it didn't make any difference so why she's there?" Yuna! If it's a hip pad who cares? She never said to nobody "Hey, you need to look like me?" So why so much stress about her? Lia also, she's always degraded about her position in the group, like wtf? If she was just a filler member, she wouldn't even sing half of what she sings. And the list goes on and on. If it's about dating, body image, or trying to be sexy and stuff. It goes harder on them, and I genuinely still don't understand how people instead of giving criticism people just straight up hate and bully them. submitted by /u/nolimits237 [link] [comments]
Hey everyone, Iāve been a K-pop fan for quite a while now ā a multistan who absolutely adores 2nd and 3rd gen groups. But honestly, over the last few years, Iāve felt like the K-pop industry has lost a bit of its essence. The music doesnāt hit the same anymore. It feels like so many idols debut just for the fame, and thereās less focus on vocal or rap talent. Everythingās becoming super commercial. That said, I recently discovered BoyNextDoor and xikers, and oh my god ā they gave me that old-school K-pop thrill again. There's something raw, refreshing, and passionate about them. Their performances feel genuine, and it reminds me of why I fell in love with K-pop in the first place. So now Iām curious ā Which new-gen groups do you think are bringing something real to the table? Who gives you that nostalgic yet exciting vibe? submitted by /u/unforgiven_villain [link] [comments]
I couldnāt fit all groups in the poll so I went with the ones who are more appreciated for their b-sides but feel free to comment your favorite + songs recommendations! I feel like TVXQ, SJ, SNSD and aespa all have pretty solid discographies but their albums tend to have more fillers than the ones in the poll. RIIZE and H2H donāt have enough songs to be included in the competition imo. But music is subjective so feel free to disagree lol View Poll submitted by /u/MyOrgel [link] [comments]
