199. Blackpink's concert was actually amazing

  • 1 day ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Idk how long will this post last cause my last post praising BTS got taken down in few minutes and I'm also not a BLINK but anyways just finished watching every performance and it was honestly amazing , I'm never agreeing with the sentiment that Blackpink are not good performers they're easily one of the best when they're giving it their all. Setlist was also amazing cause I really don't like songs from The album and Born pink so I'm glad it was mostly their old b-sides. Even the backtrack wasn't so loud this time , they didn't have to scream over it. I'm also excited for Jump , it is already so addictive!! All the members did amazing and Jisoo improved so much. It was so weird to hear them speaking Korean cause most of the time I have heard them speaking English lol. Idk and idc about their off stage chemistry but their on stage chemistry is amazing they're always hyping up each other. Honestly smh their concert just made me more impatient for BTS's concert cause I was so hyped up for them even when they're not my ults but BTS are my ults so I know I'm gonna be over the moon when they will perform together. Congrats to Blinks can't believe you guys got a concert before us lol submitted by /u/Adventurous-Dog5560 [link] [comments]

201. I hate how misused the word “Dozen” is used

  • 1 day ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Dozen is misused like CRAZYYY people just call all idols dozens expect their favs and it’s crazy. I saw someone call all of Twice “Dozens” and Billlie were all “Dozens” which is CRAZYY cause they are NOT Dozens. I feel like once some K-pop fans learn a new word they misuse it to it’s grave submitted by /u/Vegetable-Hope-1641 [link] [comments]

204. Harmonizing is an Undervalued & Underpraised Skill

  • 1 day ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Just a thought I was having how the main vocal always gets praise but the rest of the group being able to harmonizing whether it's just one additional voice or them all coming together. That's so difficult, especially in groups where each member has very distinct voices but it adds so much to the song. In choral singing, you can tell when someone just don't know where their note is. Just an appreciation post for all the groups putting work in to make pleasing harmonies. f(x) is one group that really stands out to me. All their voices are so different so each blend was very unique. What's some of y'all's favorite examples of a moments of a group coming together vocally? submitted by /u/OnlytheFocus [link] [comments]

Youtube recommended me aespa's Whiplash and I was wondering how famous are Giselle in Japan and Ningning in China? Will non-fans recognize them in the streets or commercials? Are they big enough to be household names? What about other non-korean kpop idols? submitted by /u/BreadArmpitt [link] [comments]

207. So Stray kids seungminnreleased a skz record called goodbye and i feel it resonates with young idols who give up their lives to become a idol in the kpop industry really well

  • 1 day ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

This is song which is not a official release but a player which is songs which don't have albums but are only released on YouTube and maybe have albums down the line The song goodbye sung by seungmin and written and arranged by Bang Chan shows how he shouldn't have said goodbye to his family when he went away to become a idol and how much he missed out on everything by leaving..it's a heartbreaking song btw beautifully sung by Seungmin showing a slight guilt on leaving everything saying goodbye and not being with his loved ones at a time where he should be growing up with them It's really raw and emotional on what idols feel after looking back after many years on their journey and thought maybe I wish I had done things differently . ,I wish I had spent time with my parents my family ...there is a part where there is a apology to his mom and dad for being so away for so long This must be a thing for many idols who left everything behind and how we need to realise even though it was "their choice to become idols "but 13 year olds don't always make the best choice heck even 18 year olds don't and sometimes even 30 year old regret their choices.... younger people make choices on more idealistic ways than realistic based on how much they have seen the world and getting into this industry forces them to grow up faster but with lack of education and outside world view and heavily connected to their companies submitted by /u/Stayblinkforever1606 [link] [comments]

https://youtu.be/ZRw47gemIMY?si=cogg26C93lcvc0sR Wow! I'm really surprised in a positive way. This made me feel so nostalgic and teary. They feel really SNSD ( and I miss girls generation so much!) so.. yeah! I think Carmen vocals are underrated. She has such a GREAT voice in my opinion! And ofc she will continue to improve. I think she really stood out. And her ad libs were really good!! I think Yeon did also some ad libs? She and Yuha also have great voices imo and fit the song. All of them did great! SNSD can feel so proud! gee cover submitted by /u/MapacheRob [link] [comments]

214. Is it ok for bear a minimum as an group for thier fans?

  • 1 day ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Only 14 old same songs which we have been heard more than twice as group. Not considering their recent new comeback and those out of their company's solo songs...3 years of their hiatus and this is what their fandom gets as comeback...a single? That's the condition of thier tour...No new song leaving a-side thier new single....no unsung songs...no solo songs from within company. Their fans truly don't deserve this...so really scary to see that their group songs in this tour is literally so less...not even close to 20 songs...it truly seemed like the four singer from different parts of the world has came together as an project for this tour rather than seeing them as a complete united group. I know a lot of you won't like this...but I can't see the image of togetherness in them rather I see them 4 individual people trying to come together...I truly feel unhappy for their fandom. submitted by /u/IVYKPOP [link] [comments]

215. Does anyone else datahoard or create archives for groups they like in case things get deleted? Do you have specific methods?

  • 1 day ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I already datahoard with family photos, fan edits, music and manga scans but recently I've been thinking of building a Nas so I can have a better organized and backed up archives of kpop concerts DVD rips, music and shows maybe on Plex or jellyfin? I was wondering if other fans do this or if most people just buy for displaying? I feel like I was prompted to do this mainly because many of the playlists I made when I was young with kpop related stuff are just a sea of grey now, the fact that fourms or fansites like soompi forums or T-ara's diadem forum that was gone for a while with no guarantee of coming back or if accounts get hacked and special performance videos get lost so I have a habit of downloading things I find interesting now. I was thinking of archiving soshified as well in case it ever goes down. Does anyone have specific set ups and methods of backing up stuff? I'm also fascinated by fanhubs like mixflixx, iveland and staycflixx. The degree of love for these groups have brought their fandoms to create comprehensive archives and databases for their groups for the fandom and new people. The fact that several izone archives are still active is also amazing. submitted by /u/uchacothrow [link] [comments]
