I know im gonna get hate for this but i just want to share my thoughts. When itzy released the trailer for their album, the hype was insane especially towards the contemporary dance part(correct me if im wrong), gp was excited it was just like previous era of itzy hype. And i wished jyp went with that direction, the song was so perfect, the choreography was on point (lip j queen whew) and the visuals. I think it was a wasted opportunity. submitted by /u/spacecleaner [link] [comments]
They have a lot of similarities. Self produced, strong performance, unique songs and if the Korean pop fell in love with BigBang bc of their fearless fuckoff attitude and weird music, why do you think the same couldn't be with stray kids? They call stray kids delinquents who can't conform to Korean culture, but last time I checked that was basically big bang but their rebellion was seen as cool instead of defiant. No skz or BigBang antis comment. This is a legitimate discussion. submitted by /u/spice_rice27 [link] [comments]

When EXO used to chart on BB200, we used to get the report of U. S pure sales as well in the same news. Recently Baekhyun's Essence of reverie was on #121 for its debut week and i have been searching for its sales;couldn't find any info. Can kpop fans in U. S tell why? submitted by /u/abraacadabrau [link] [comments]

I'm just a passing observer, but I can spot a difference in dirty work than their post releases. Just even in the teaser images, the way they have them posed in some of these photos. The member with the red top has basically her entire side ribcage out? I'm worried if she even felt comfortable posing in that ... And I think SM is starting to let the public's intrusive thoughts project on to the way they present (? model? idk the word) Karina. I've been with SM for over a decade and I know the industry has changed, but I'm just worried SM is starting to give into the male gaze selling tactic ever so slightly. I just want them to respect these women and never compromise their boundaries. Stuff like this starts small though, testing the waters. I really really hope SM doesn't go down that seggs sells route for this group, like I've seen some other companies do for their groups. SM has never really full on done that in the past, but they are under different management now, so I wouldn't be surprised if their values have changed. If you ask my why I'm concerned just go look up what happened with Hello Venus members. I just don't want another female idol to go through that ever again. Just because we see them happy doesn't always mean they are 100% comfortable. submitted by /u/Otherwise-Tart9213 [link] [comments]

I’m going to a Toronto concert and I was surprised to see that Day 1 has so many tickets available when it was originally sold out. My friend is on Xiaohongshu/RedNote and she showed me that A LOT of fans managed to refund their tickets. Many said they had “family emergencies” and got refunds. Some people got it super fast while others went through multiple reps to get it. But overall seems the promoter is being VERY lenient with refunds. If you’re wondering why fans are refunding, here’s why: Day 2 concert is selling very poorly for many sections and floor seats prices were cut in HALF compared to Day 1. Same tickets that were $900 on Day 1 are now less than $500 on Day 2. They’re pissed so much more in the first place. Resale is very poor for this concert. If you look at Ticketmaster, there’s so much Day 1 Toronto resale and seats were originally so expensive that people definitely aren’t making their money back. So better resort to refunding rather than losing a lot of money if they legitimately can’t go anymore. Honestly I think they massively overestimated Blackpink’s popularity in Toronto for two shows. These are stadiums and they just don’t have a big enough fandom to pay these ridiculous prices and tickets are too expensive for casual fans. Also tickets are expensive for locals. They’re even more expensive than the American tickets after taking into consideration FX. A $900 USD GA pit floor ticket is $1500 CAD for Toronto. Canadians don’t make 40%+ more in local wages. Hence why even Day 1 never sold out those GA tickets… Some might argue that not all those tickets are refunds but tickets that got released closer to the show. But the tickets are way too spread out and all over the place to be the case. I do genuinely think many people managed to refund their tickets after seeing the many posts on XHS. Well unethical life tip, but seems like you can get refunds from Ticketmaster, YMMV ofc. submitted by /u/blueberryicecream88 [link] [comments]
