I’ve been revisiting Kai’s first solo album lately, and honestly? It still hits just as hard as it did on day one. From the visuals to the sound, the concept, the choreography everything was cohesive, fresh, and so him. You could tell he had a clear vision and it was executed perfectly. Tracks like “Mmmh,” “Nothing On Me,” and “Amnesia” are still on repeat for me. It felt like he was carving out his own lane, blending R&B with sensual, futuristic vibes, and it just worked. That debut was a moment. I don’t want to sound harsh, but compared to that first album, what we’ve gotten from him lately feels a little underwhelming. It lacks the punch, the direction, the uniqueness that made his solo debut so special. I know artists evolve, but I miss that bold, magnetic energy he gave us the first time around. Anyone else still spinning Kai (开) on repeat? Or am I just stuck in 2020? 😅 submitted by /u/chrisomi9 [link] [comments]
