Band PD said that star power power is more important than skill. Thoughts?

This is probably the ONE time I'll agree with that man. I always think of prime Britney Spears. Objectively, she wasn't a strong singer. On that stage though... presence was out of this world. Dancing. Just the performance. She was star. She drew people in. Dua Lipa. She really was just a regular singer until that "Go girl, give us nothing" comment. She became a better performer. A better dancer. She learned to captivate an audience. Then she started going viral on twitter and instagram. A star was born. Nicki Minaj in her prime was talented and had star power. Nowadays, people pull up her recent performances just to make fun of her. To laugh at her. Whether people want to admit or not, she has lost that star power. Gnarly. Everybody hated the song until the performances came out. So like yeah. Talent is important and will get you to places many can only dream of, but star power is what keeps you in those places. Talent just isn't enough anymore. You also have to be interesting and a lot of artists aren't; on and off the stage. submitted by /u/cocochanelism [link] [comments]

I will wait for it. He has everything. The face, the talent, the vocals, and the personality that would be fit for variety shows. Idk I just want Hangyul to keep performing on stage forever. submitted by /u/yannana-98 [link] [comments]

3.959. SVT Hoshi liking a shady reel (BTS won the mentioned award)

  • 1 month ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

It's quite the talk on X rn about SVT's Hoshi liking a shady reel on ig about the Best Dance Performance Award at MAMA 2019 (BTS won this award, by the way). Now, my feed is in a frenzy blowing this up because, damn, an idol liking a shady reel about their senior and from the same label too??? LMAO, that's so unexpected from him, especially since he's one of the few who has openly talked about BTS and how they “opened the way” for a lot of artists in the Western market (he mentioned this during his guest appearance on Suga’s variety show interview “Suchwita”). Your thoughts about this because idk what to say, he looks so genuine talking about BTS in the interview 😭 submitted by /u/sinieves [link] [comments]

3.961. Album sales are down, and that's a good thing

The insane numbers we saw in 2023 always seemed excessive and wasteful to me. I can easily imagine A LOT of those 115 millions just collecting dust on a shelf or getting tossed out. Sales dropped in 2024 and will probably keep dropping in 2025, and honestly, I think that’s a good thing. submitted by /u/Striking-Meal-5257 [link] [comments]

3.963. Make a K-pop group out of already existing groups! Day 7: The Maknae

  • 1 month ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Rules: 1. each one has to be a different gen, precisely the one that’s above it or it restarts. Ex
if you pick 3rd gen the first day then the second day has to be 4th gen and after that it can be whatever other gen besides another 4th the day after, if it’s 5th gen the first day then it resets to 3rd gen!! It’s long but it’s simple. Also there can be the same group multiple times just not above 3 times
Lastly the group member MUST be 3rd gen or above or else I will not even look at it, the idol with the most comments I’ll pick. if its a tie I’ll put both but if its a 3 way or more tie then I’ll decide!! 3 simple rules is all
this is my first time doing one of these so I hope it doesn’t get taken down!! Also don’t mind the fonts, I did it in CapCut, today we should have 3rd or 5th gen, I will see who doesn’t care to read descriptions guys
. no matter how many times you say a 4th gen I’ll just skip it
 follow the rules
. also it’s NOT only girl groups! I wanted to see some boys too! please vote for boys later on going. we haven’t had any 5th gen so
also my dreams of having a mixed group are almost gone guys
please vote boys submitted by /u/Happy-Flight-4810 [link] [comments]

3.964. It feels like you need twitter/x to be participate in fandom... Do you feel the same?

  • 1 month ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I deleted twitter a while ago and never downloaded it on my new phone. Now I'm getting back into a few kpop groups, but I feel like twitter's the only place to find community. Tiktok is fun, but not as much of a place to talk to and meet other fans. A lot groups don't seem to have official accounts on Bluesky. I like reddit but it can feel be a bit restrictive and anonymous/impersonable. Do you have tips for becoming part fan spaces on other platforms? Should I just redownload twitter bc that's where everyone's at? submitted by /u/1PlayerPanic [link] [comments]

3.967. BTS Rap line is better than the vocal line

  • 1 month ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

BTS’s rap line in my opinion is way stronger than their vocal line. While BTS vocal is very solid and good but compared to exo, btob, shinee etc. their vocal line falls a little flat (this is no shame to bts they are amazing) Anyway I don’t know how hot of a take this is but Suga,Rm and jhope are the best rappers in 3rd gen(boy groups) submitted by /u/IndividualPolicy8863 [link] [comments]
