For the people who attended their concerts submitted by /u/Horror_Round666 [link] [comments]
I know that this is very unlikely and I am just speculating, but recently groups with an even amount of numbers seem to be the perfect amount of members to debut for companies, Hybe keeps trying to debut 6- Member GG, and then we have BM and H2H. I remember JYP and YG having Competitions of their trainees on TV back then, so I wonder if that is outdated now which means they just have these Competitions differently, like directly on the market. And for this one they set similiar conditions (Group Gender, Amount of Members) Them debuting BM and H2H who seem to have similiar conditions could just be a coincidence, and it is just a new industry trend that expects one member to drop out early. What I wanna know is if you guys think my theory could be atleast a little bit true... submitted by /u/cat_girl10 [link] [comments]
Yg upcoming child debuting group and the annoying obnoxious bragging of how much $ they got and how others r worthless bc of it kinda funny bc most dont have any $ its just sad hearing constant songs abt $ this and $ that like a brag as if thats the only thing good they have one artist ik her whole album was basically this like girl💀🙄🙄LIKE STFU CAN WE HEAR SOMETHING NEW 🙄😒 so many issues in the industry suicide, and abuse. Yet ppl STILL GIVE NO FUCKS!EVERYONE STILL PRAISES THIS BEHAVIOR UGH. submitted by /u/Human-Zucchini-1294 [link] [comments]

There's been so many videos where someone groups in Katseye with k-pop groups and the only thing people will talk about is how "Katseye isn't k-pop group, they're a global girl group! 🤬🤬🤬" Everyone knows that, sorry that the creators don't feel like specifying that Katseye specifically is not k-pop when talking about 10 groups in a single video. The other day I saw a video of a creator talking about how some twitter stan reported Lara to ICE and how crazy that is, sadly she made the mistake of referring to Katseye as a k-pop group and guess what 90% of the comments were about?... 🤦🏿♂️ You can't make this stuff up. There's a reason why Katseye is often compared/linked to other k-pop groups, whereas groups like 1D, 5SOS, Little Mix and Fifth Harmony were more compared to other western artists. A very large portion of their fanbase are k-pop stans, they're in a company that's know for making big k-pop groups, all of their songs so far have been promoted on Korean music shows, they use weverse, they hid their new hair before a comeback, for a while there they weren't allowed to swear, they have a designated leader, and so much more. Hell, their whole thing was that they're a global group going through the k-pop training system??? While a lot of these things on their own aren't necessarily k-pop related, the combination of them is definitely something you'll find k-pop groups doing way more than western groups. And the worst part is that when you mention one of these things people act dense on purpose. "Oh Western artists perform on korean music shows all the time!" Yeah, that's where hybe got the inspiration from, definitely not the fact that a huge part of their fandom are already in k-pop spaces... Katseye is not k-pop, and based on what I've seen I'm also not denying the fact that their reach into non-kpop related fandoms is really big and only continuing to grow. But for people to get so adamant about correcting it everytime someone doesn't use the exact right semantics is just annoying, especially when it's most definitely not the relevant part of the video. (See Lara ICE situation above.) All I'm saying is that there's a reason why they are grouped in often. Most people making videos about them know they're not k-pop too, which makes the correction even less necessary imo. submitted by /u/Lumpy-Statistician-1 [link] [comments]
I'm not sure if this has been done yet but this has been on my mind this whole week. If you and 9 Kpop Idols were up against 1 Giant Three-Headed Chicken, who would you recruit on your team and why? Also, what would your role be? Rules are simple: - You can only include members of the same group twice in your recruitment. Give their roles an official title. For example, if you want someone to make commentary for the team, call them something like a "Main Commentator." Follow the sub's rules. Have Fun! Bonus: Recruit two extra idols to perform at the halftime show for the battle. What song(s) would they perform and why? submitted by /u/so_and_so_said813 [link] [comments]

I'm very interested in videos that take a critical look at kpop idols talents and not the kind that just say nice things about an idol so they can get lots of views from their fans. I really appreciate learning about the hard work that goes into a kpop group and, even when its one of my faves, I appreciate learning about what could be improved on. And so the idea popped in my head "What if I made a youtube series where people critiqued kpop groups from multiple angles?" and because I'm crazy I decided to go through with the plan. I am making a YouTube series called "Honest Kpop Quality Check" which examines multiple aspects of a kpop group, and I need different 'experts' for each category. I'm looking for people who know what they're talking about and don't hand out participation trophies. There needs to be a reason for people to listen to your opinion beyond the fact that you have them. I'm looking for people who know the meta and in certain cases have practical knowledge in their topic. My role: I'm a video guy so I will be the producer and editor for the actual video. I'll also be collecting the material you'll be using to judge the group by. Basically the only thing you need to worry about is listening to/watching media and sharing your critical thoughts on it, I'll handle everything else. Roles I'm looking for: Vocal Critic (must have college level knowledge in contemporary voice) Music Production Critic (must have college level knowledge in music production) Video Production Critic (must have college level knowledge in video production) Dance Critic (must have years of dance experience) Rap Critic (must be a big rap fan particularly knowledgable in rap technique, bonus points if you speak Korean) Stage Presence Critic (must be a serious critic of stage presence, bonus points if you have theater experience) If you're interested in joining the team fill out this form: https://forms.gle/gCxpAEouQE4ipZnt9 submitted by /u/CatzEatYerFace [link] [comments]

Explain how you got into it submitted by /u/Far_Measurement5417 [link] [comments]
With the recent situation involving Taeil and all the discourse around it online, I have been wondering about what it means to stay in a fandom after a serious scandal. More specifically, when the scandals involve assault, harassment or something else morally non-negotiable. Did you end up un-stanning the group entirely? If the member was removed and you stayed for the other members, how do you go about the songs or content that still feature them? I’m just genuinely interested in how people process these situations, especially as fans who care about both the music and the ethics surrounding the artists. I hope there is a nuanced conversation around this without any judgement or vitriol. submitted by /u/JinnieP [link] [comments]
I was just wandering since the last update about the lawsuit was at the beginning of the year. I just hope everything works out fine so that we can move on and go back to normality. submitted by /u/Injeolmie_04 [link] [comments]
To be clear, it wasn’t the performers themselves whatsoever. I saw Stray Kids and they were so incredible and full of energy. They’re incredibly talented and just as amazing in person. And I’m SO grateful I even got to see them live. But the other fans made the experience so bad. I’ve been to a lot of kpop shows and the people at this concert were the most rude and inconsiderate by far. For about 90% of the show, the people next to and in front of me were SCREECHING to the top of their lungs throughout the whole night. (Not screaming or cheering- screeching) This was in a baseball stadium and the audio was bad to begin with, but I could legitimately barely hear a lot of the show because of this. Whenever the members spoke, I could barely hear bc of them and I feel like I missed out on so much that happened. The people in front of me held their lightsticks and signs over their heads the entire show (even when I NICELY asked them to put them down). The person next to me kept pushing me and hitting me with her lightstick because she was waving it in every direction without any consideration. It really felt like people would do anything to get an interaction or a y/n moment and it was just embarrassing. The main character syndrome was so obvious and idk if it’s because of my age but I got the ick from so many people. I know not all stays are like this but concert etiquette has gotten so bad and I feel like I’m going insane submitted by /u/missy098 [link] [comments]
I love Fifty Fifty's "Pookie". I know they're boycotting the new lineup, which is a shame, but this MV is so beautiful. The special effects are so well done and the cinematography is great too, it's better than some of the Big 4's MVs submitted by /u/PrismRider21 [link] [comments]

All fandoms have attitudes that are annoying, ALL OF THEM. Sometimes it seems like some people feel a certain superiority (to say the least) when pointing out that their groups are not from the Big 3/4 and to a certain extent it feels like shade when they make comments like "My groups are so talented and have worked really hard, not like others who are only famous because it was handed to them on a silver platter", although believe it or not, many of these groups, despite coming from big companies, have also worked and continue to work very hard to get to where they are. I mean, yes, the hard work of all these groups from medium or small companies is admirable, and I also understand why it's easier to empathize with them given that their situation is closer to our reality, but sometimes fans of Big 3 groups seem like they can't even celebrate some new achievement because they automatically start commenting like "It seems like XYZ is spending a lot of money to convince us that this was a success". submitted by /u/Someonehihi [link] [comments]
