This is the nth post you'll see about their whole âsuper boyfriendâ concept . Plz lmk rant Atp it just feels decisive and manipulative ... a bit too much I started stanning Enhypen just last month in August. At first it was literal euphoria . The fanservice was REALLY MIND BLOWING like ive NEVER seen anything like this before !! And it really stood out to me . The music and visuals were amazing and everything just clicked right for me. But then things started to get serious (yes, I know, Iâm the problem here). I fell for the whole âsuper boyfriendâ act and considering I already struggle with slight delusions⌠not the best match Recently it really hit me. I realized how everything seemed too perfect .. Just assigned personalities and a forced bf concept. Some of itâs so obvious too like the Jungwonâs âengine rideâ video or the bed Hybe randomly put in the middle of their popup store. I get that Enhypen isnât supposed to be child-friendly, but stillâŚThe whole thing feels off Anyway, the euphoric phase only lasted me a month. I came to realise how unhealthy this bf agenda actually is . Not just for fans but for Enhypen themselves too . Having to keep up that act must be exhausting. So I decided to pull back and just become a casual listener. My bias is Jake and it honestly hurts to go from being all in to barely watching their content. It feels like ⌠a divorce. Which is probably exactly the withdrawal effect Hybe wants fans to feel to keep expanding the fandom I just can't help but feel like this whole thing is unhealthy for everyone fans and idols alike. I really hope they stop pushing it this hard and in the meantime I need to work on working on myself too :( submitted by /u/parksaerom [link] [comments]
I think we've all seen the criticisim idols have gotten regarding a certain topic, but I'm not going to be talking about that right now. I think a lot of fans are starting to lose the plot when it comes to 'holding idols accountable'. It's like some fans are just waking up and realizing how messed up the world is, and are trying to point the finger at Kpop idols for every little thing they do, instead of looking at themselves and how they possibly could be helping the issues they apparently care so much about. News flash, the phone you're currently holding was made using child labor, the clothes you're currently wearing are very possibly not made ethically, the food you're eating is very possibly not recoursed ethically, the car you're driving, the kpop albums on your shelves... Kpop idols aren't robots, aren't immune to making mistakes, and expecting them to be (well shit atp I don't even know what fans expect) aware of every single thing wrong with the world is straight up ridiculous, it's REALLY getting out of hand. (and a lot of y'all fans don't even actually care about these issues but just are foaming at the mouths for reasons to criticize certain groups and it shows) submitted by /u/Due_Improvement_5699 [link] [comments]

I was curious about what my personal Kpop playlist would show about song lengths over the 10 years I've been listening to Kpop, but wowww did I not realise that the short song epidemic has hit so hard over the last few years! I mean, I knew we were in crisis lol, but I didn't realise that my 2016 playlist would have a grand total of ONE (1) Kpop song in it that was under 3 minutes long. We used to be a COUNTRY, y'all!!! Some details about the graph: this is a basic thing I threw together that only includes songs from my playlist, so it's not 100% indicative of recent trends-- but it gives a pretty good idea lol. I've listened to over 300 Kpop artists in this playlist, so it's not like I'm only picking and choosing certain artists for this. In fact, I tend to like songs with actual bridges over songs without them-- so things are probably actually worse than this, lol. The years on the y axis represent release years, not the year in which I saved the song. The number in the brackets is the number of songs from that year that I have saved. The bars are calculated through percentages. Swipe to the second image for the exact percentage numbers. Anyway. Let's all commiserate together about what we have lost :') (Also posted to the Kpoppers sub.) submitted by /u/petrichor-pixels [link] [comments]

Sometime i saw a discussion or random comment, there's a perception that Treasure & NMIXX are âfailed group from big companyâ Personally, I donât think theyâre failed groups at all. And Iâm sure a lot of ppl would agree. But why do some ppl view them as a failed group from big company? because i keep noticing this takes a lot. submitted by /u/Difficult_Bit_3025 [link] [comments]

Itâs a Korean-made game where you pick between two options (like foods, characters, celebrities, whatever) in a tournament bracket until one winner is left. Apparently itâs super popular in Korea, and I get why â itâs way too fun. Has anyone else seen this outside Korea? https://preview.redd.it/s6q2sqegdqmf1.png?width=1276&format=png&auto=webp&s=e062c1102a89ae907e938929b2fa4af28b43f330 https://albbano.co.kr/en/game/worldcup/start/4/8/ submitted by /u/enzedong00 [link] [comments]
