Could a member who is no longer in a group still count as your bias for that group?

For those who are unaware, before each day of London SMTown concert, Minho had dragged quite a number of SM idols to run with him in the morning (Max Changmin, Suho, Chanyeol, Kai, Johnny, Kun, Xiaojun, Sion) and even vlogged their suffering enjoyment, especially Exo's Kai! Now that the introduction of SM's fun run club is done, let's go and hunt BTOB Company! The very next video on Minho's channel was him making BTOB's Minhyuk do a quarter of HYROX training with him (much to the latter's suffering). And because what's the fun in suffering alone? Minhyuk mentioned to Minho that Eunkwang is also preparing for a triathlon and told him to try recruiting him for his next guest to do HYROX with him ^^ Today (18 Jul KST), Eunkwang did his scheduled livestream and his fans asked him about what he thought about Minho's HYROX. He had watched the video and saw Minhyuk suffering so he said he would rather do BYEROX :'D (Minhyuk said this in the video) but he actually does like things that require effort and would be grateful for the invite (according to fan/google translations). Now let's see if his words reach Minho ;) Unrelated to Minho now but I thought to just add on, Minhyuk's upcoming album on 21 July (HOOK) is actually centred around boxing which is why he's going on exercise contents. Today dropped another exercise content but this time about running (unsubbed as of now) and yet again he mentioned Eunkwang to the host, telling him how he had underestimated Eunkwang's record of 54min 14 seconds ('did you walk?' Minhyuk's famous last words) for a 10km marathon (unsubbed and poor camera work from Eunkwang LOL) and saying that he thinks he's building a body that's more suitable for running to the point Eunkwang's grandmother said he looks pitiful lmao I'm living for all this idol exercise saga submitted by /u/Hirizu [link] [comments]
Isn’t it wild (and kinda amazing) how diverse ARMY is? Like, we’re out here vibing to "Run BTS" while also running code, running hospitals, and running entire lives! Some of us are software developers, some are medical professionals, some are artists, some are students, and some are even ethical hackers 👀💜 It’s honestly so cool that despite our different paths, backgrounds, and time zones, we all connect through BTS and their music. ARMY really is everywhere, and we’re all doing amazing things in our own worlds 🌍 What’s your profession + ARMY moment combo? I’ll go first: 👩💻 Developer by day, "Dynamite" dancer by night 💜 submitted by /u/Total-Function-7463 [link] [comments]

This is a comment section of a video showing various short videos of NJZ Minji, and the first clip happened to show off her arms, and she had a nice pretty toned arms. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DI_QHRUAO9W/?igsh=YzFpYzZrZmd0ZWFs The first sentence is “팔근육 무슨일?“ which directly translates to “arm muscles what happened?” but commonly used to expresse shock, (as he said) in a neutral way, nor positive or negative. But I think the next commentor misunderstood it. Based on the context, I don’t think he meant it in a negative way at all, he was just in a little shock, because he didn’t expect this much muscles from a non-athlete young adult girl, especially with a cute/pretty face like this. As a K pop fan, I hate to say it, but they make fuss about every little thing. Not just against idols, but among themselves too. It’s ok to not know Korean and make mistakes, but please just apologize and move on rather than attacking the fandom/country. submitted by /u/Antique-Aardvark-184 [link] [comments]
A bit dramatic title lmao But seriously, what are some songs you saw people dislike, and you just can’t understand how? For me it’s always when I hear people say ON by BTS is their ‘worst’ TT. I love that song so much, but personal feelings aside, I think I can say that even objectively it’s a really good and powerful song. May not be everyone’s favourite, but calling that song their worst TT is just confusing to me when PTD exists… submitted by /u/Specialist-Gear-4133 [link] [comments]
I don’t know why some of yall think I want your opinion!! Let people like what they like without treating them like they have no taste or class for listening to a song!! No one cares if you don’t like Jump, Gnarly, or Rockstar!! It is genuinely aggravating how it’s impossible to listen to music without a self proclaimed music expert in my ear telling me Lisa is insert internalized misogynistic terms like ok?? Can I listen to a song please without someone saying Jimin can’t sing, like i promise you I didn’t ask 😭 submitted by /u/Civil-Key-1424 [link] [comments]
A while back it was found out Higup Ent (Stayc company) trademarked the name 'Unchild'. The fandom thinks the name will be used for the new group which we think Na Haeun will debut in Unchild Do you think it's fitting for a group? Do you like it or hate it? submitted by /u/sunshineofkindness [link] [comments]
My friend and I had this discussion yesterday, and we found it interesting actually. We used Wonho as an example, she thinks that since he’s not in the group anymore he technically wouldn’t count as a bias. I get that and it makes sense, but then I feel like you’d have to pick a new bias JUST because your bias isn’t there anymore, no? 🤔 what do y’all think? submitted by /u/CeCeAlexus [link] [comments]

KVA (K-pop Vocal Analysis) vocal tiers have been around for years, and while some people brush it off nowadays, I think there’s still value in the original intent, especially when evaluating 2nd gen and early 3rd gen main vocalists. Take EXO for example. There’s a clear difference in vocal quality between their main vocal line (Chen, Baekhyun, D.O.) and lead vocals like Suho or Xiumin. They all good but when you really listen, ChenBaekDo have that certain vocal quality. Even within the trio, Chen stands out. The way he handles mixed belts and sustain puts him in A-tier, while Baekhyun and D.O. sit at B-tier, it’s just how fine the vocal distinctions get once you listen closely. But then… they started use Kva on idols with barely any vocal material. Like no offense, but Mark Lee being ranked above Chenle and Renjun, and placed on the same tier as Haechan, is just nonsense. Even Mark stans would admit that’s bullshit. Once they expanded beyond properly trained main vocals, the ranking started to lose its credibility. Still, I think it’s unfair to throw the whole system out. The earlier breakdowns are insanely insightful and interesting, and if you care about vocals, they teach you how to listen better, beyond high notes or tone color. Also, once you listen and look at their rank on KVA, you kinda get the gist why they placed on A tier or B tier or C tier. I know ranking is tiring but it's interesting for the nerds. It's nightmare for the toxic fans though submitted by /u/Personal_Damage6616 [link] [comments]

The Unit: Idol Rebooting Project was a survival show that was aired on KBS from October 2017 to February 2018. The show has 28 episodes. Unlike most survival shows that was consisted of either all-male or all-female and mostly trainees, the show is consisted of both genders. And its main concept was to form a male and female idol groups from idols who already debuted. The show and the performances are actually REALLY REALLY GOOD. You can totally watch other idols that you can easily put into the lists of "which idol is best in vocal/dancing/rapping?" categories. Because of the lack of interaction between male and female idols in this generation, the interactions between idols are very subtle, but you can totally watch how supportive they are with each other. Here are some of the idols that you can watch on the show: • Cignature's Jeewon (all former members of Cignature who was in Good Day were actually in the show) • ACE's Jun and Chan • U-KISS' Jun (Lee Junyoung, actor from When Life Gives You Tangerines, Mask Girl, Brave Citizen, etc.) • BIGSTAR's Feeldog (BANK2BROTHERS, was in Street Man Fighter) • BIGFLO's Euijin (dancer whose main genre is popping) • Ji Hansol (former member of SM Rookies) • Lee Jungha (actor from Moving, he's Bongseok!) • HOTSHOT's Kim Timoteo (he's a good friend of Taemin— who was a mentor on the show— and Kai) • IM's Hangyul (yes, the Hangyul from X1) • SPICA's Yang Jiwon • The Ark's Euna Kim • Lee Juhyun (now a member of LIGHTSUM) • DalShabet's Woohee (the actress who played Yura in Business Proposal) — I'm posting this because sadly, the show's aim was to promote and give these lesser known idols a fair chance yet in the end, the groups that was formed through this show did not also became that much popular. You can watch the complete episodes on YouTube with English subs!! submitted by /u/ivtokkimsh [link] [comments]
Hi everyone! I'm currently studying Korean and have passed TOPIK Level 4. I'm looking to gain experience by helping others learn the language — especially beginners or those at an early intermediate level. I’d love to share materials, explain grammar and vocabulary, and even check homework if you're interested. I’m also considering starting a Telegram channel where I post daily study content and offer feedback! If this sounds helpful, feel free to message me 💌 Instagram deellxs submitted by /u/Big_Fix8220 [link] [comments]
Hi! I'm a very casual fan of fomis_9 since 2023. I'm now gearing for a full stanning. DISCLAIMER: ALL THIS IS PURE SPECULATION AND HOPIUM. So I've been going stir crazy trying to look for an answer to my question since I only became aware of the fact after the group had already separated (?). I understand Saerom and Jisun stepping away from the industry completely, but Seoyeon is still recording, still performing afaik? I think ASND would've given her these opportunities under their wing and maybe even more if she has redebuted? ASND seems to listen to the current members. They gave Hayoung a solo song right off the bat. They are giving all the members suitable solo opportunities. They seem to have friends in high places. How is this not a better option for Seoyeon? She would've also gotten production and writing opportunities, she would've been able to go solo after reestablishment as well. In one of the last interviews as fromis, she mentioned she'd love to perform more and do festivals and most of all, visit many countries and do a tour especially for Asia. Well, fromis_9 (current) are getting a tour now! 😁 So she could've stayed and fulfilled her dreams, which I don't see her having a chance for as a solo artist in the near future... Please know that I'm not judging her or anything I just REALLY wanted her to be with the other 5. 😢 Everytime I watch a fromi5 performance I keep thinking how Seoyeon would really fit well in this or that part, and how cool it would be to not have to redistribute her iconic parts among the remaining members. In my opinion, her vocal tone is what the part needed and the others, despite trying their best, obviously can't reach the same level of iconicness. 😭 Plus how cool would the choreo look with 6 of them?! Sounds perfect to me! ASND could really use her, she's an ace, she has multiple talents under her belt, she has the most unique voice among them imo, she is a producer and writer, plus she has dozens of lines so it would help with the distribution, and she is one of the most biased and most popular members. I read somewhere that she has some leg injury that flares up? Is that true? Or that she doesn't enjoy performing because she gets tired? She doesn't like the idol life because she's an introvert? She has anxiety so she doesn't want to continue? Which one do you think is it? I fully plan to support her in the future but I'd like to speculate, if anyone can hamper a guess why she didn't join the other members. I will still be supporting her, Jisun, Saerom, Gyuri, and fromis_9 separately. Slowly I'm leaning more towards these amazing girls. 😊🍀 submitted by /u/Elegant_Elk5629 [link] [comments]
