Even though we’re ARMYs, we’re also doctors, surgeons, developers, hackers… how cool is that?

Jimin’s music is ironically almost always divisive given that he leans more pop, and the bone of contention is usually the production choices. With that being said, I enjoyed Muse for what it was, a sorta yin to his debut album FACE. FACE remains my favorite EP by Jimin but MUSE gave me intro:rebirth, top 3 Jimin song imo, so I’m not too mad at it. Jk jk, I actually like MUSE, Be mine is a bop and Intro:rebirth is my anthem😭😭 I still maintain that he should’ve have waited until post enlistment to release it but no point crying over spilt milk. WHO is a good TT that could’ve been great if they did certain things differently. Don’t get me wrong, I’ll still jam to it but the weird auto tune on Jimin’s vocals irks me, the acoustic version is miles better(check it out if you haven’t). Anyways, Jimin broke a lot of records with WHO and it’s still doing its thing. If only Jimin would actually acknowledge the song oo😂 Which song on MUSE is your fav and which one(s) do you still listen to? submitted by /u/Mobile-Structure5702 [link] [comments]

No matter how much you try to spin it,girl groups are the punching bag of kpop reddit and kpop communities in general. Notice how kpop reddit’s token hated artists are all women. Blackpink, aespa, newjeans, itzy, etc. Meanwhile, amongst the list of “darling” artists are quite a few boy groups. Time and time again countless clear hate posts and hate comments for these groups (and more ggs, that I haven’t mentioned) have been allowed to stay up even on “well” moderated communities while at the same time and the fans’ outcry is not taken seriously or even viewed as toxic. Last week kpopthougts announced the ban of all regular contributors to snark subreddits which is quite interesting to me cause when the bpsnark subreddit was gaining traction with a lot of its regular contributors also being regular contributors to kpopthoughts and other big subreddits no one had a problem with it. No one had a problem with some of their active posters being bodyshamers, slutshamers and racist to an artist. The moment btsnark popped up and started gaining traction tho, suddenly we are taking measures and banning snark subreddits. The mods’ excuse was that they didn’t know it was against reddit’s rules but if they truly cared about tackling the snark subreddit problem when we only had bpsark,NJdrama etc they would have done their research and banned them sooner. Kpop reddit is a hellhole where astronomical bullying against ggs is allowed as long as the armys and other fandoms running the subreddits don’t like said groups but we’re suddenly against toxicity when it’s our male faves And for the record, I don’t do snark subreddits. It’s petty at best and disgusting at worst. I have my own problems with bts and their fandom but you will never catch me being the prick that their fans and other fandoms are against blackpink and other of my faves. submitted by /u/Alive-Pitch-9180 [link] [comments]

As somebody who enjoys survival shows in general (BP, iLand, UL, etc), I came to the new season with an open mind. Survival shows can be interesting when we get to see real behind the scene of how idols (or pre-idols...) can struggle with new music/performances, how industry insiders actually rate specific performers/performances, and how team relationships are formed in real time. I also happen to think they groups formed from survival shows are more chaotic and organic than company formed groups. But having watched the first episode of the new season of BP, it just seems so thoroughly unenjoyable: It is too blatant which specific contestants the show is pushing... Pushing can be acceptable or expected by the audience if the person is clearly a cut above the rest (eg, SHB/ZH or K, etc) and the show can then revolve around the team they build around them. But when the person is not up to par... it really only make you wonder if the show has an agenda/interest behind said contestant... Sadly, the rest of the contestants looks like props and extras hired to glaze the "real stars" of the show. They barely get any screen time as it is, and any screen time they get is simply to gape stupidly or react stupendously at these said "stars". What is crazy about this season is that even the trainers/judges feel like reaction farms... Their constant over the top reactions strains credulity and can take you out of the show... The contestants this season are simply not good... I know this is going to be controversial, but whether because the show is doing a poor job of showcasing talents or are making a mistake of who they choose to showcase, the quality of contestant so far leaves a lot to be desired. Previously I had a hard time choose my team as I want to include too many contestants, but now I am having the opposite problem... Hopefully the show gets better through the episodes? They need to do a better job of showcasing different talent and hold back on the glazing of certain "stars" to make it less obvious. submitted by /u/MaddeningRush [link] [comments]

For those who are unaware, before each day of London SMTown concert, Minho had dragged quite a number of SM idols to run with him in the morning (Max Changmin, Suho, Chanyeol, Kai, Johnny, Kun, Xiaojun, Sion) and even vlogged their suffering enjoyment, especially Exo's Kai! Now that the introduction of SM's fun run club is done, let's go and hunt BTOB Company! The very next video on Minho's channel was him making BTOB's Minhyuk do a quarter of HYROX training with him (much to the latter's suffering). And because what's the fun in suffering alone? Minhyuk mentioned to Minho that Eunkwang is also preparing for a triathlon and told him to try recruiting him for his next guest to do HYROX with him ^^ Today (18 Jul KST), Eunkwang did his scheduled livestream and his fans asked him about what he thought about Minho's HYROX. He had watched the video and saw Minhyuk suffering so he said he would rather do BYEROX :'D (Minhyuk said this in the video) but he actually does like things that require effort and would be grateful for the invite (according to fan/google translations). Now let's see if his words reach Minho ;) Unrelated to Minho now but I thought to just add on, Minhyuk's upcoming album on 21 July (HOOK) is actually centred around boxing which is why he's going on exercise contents. Today dropped another exercise content but this time about running (unsubbed as of now) and yet again he mentioned Eunkwang to the host, telling him how he had underestimated Eunkwang's record of 54min 14 seconds ('did you walk?' Minhyuk's famous last words) for a 10km marathon (unsubbed and poor camera work from Eunkwang LOL) and saying that he thinks he's building a body that's more suitable for running to the point Eunkwang's grandmother said he looks pitiful lmao I'm living for all this idol exercise saga submitted by /u/Hirizu [link] [comments]
Isn’t it wild (and kinda amazing) how diverse ARMY is? Like, we’re out here vibing to "Run BTS" while also running code, running hospitals, and running entire lives! Some of us are software developers, some are medical professionals, some are artists, some are students, and some are even ethical hackers 👀💜 It’s honestly so cool that despite our different paths, backgrounds, and time zones, we all connect through BTS and their music. ARMY really is everywhere, and we’re all doing amazing things in our own worlds 🌍 What’s your profession + ARMY moment combo? I’ll go first: 👩💻 Developer by day, "Dynamite" dancer by night 💜 submitted by /u/Total-Function-7463 [link] [comments]

This is a comment section of a video showing various short videos of NJZ Minji, and the first clip happened to show off her arms, and she had a nice pretty toned arms. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DI_QHRUAO9W/?igsh=YzFpYzZrZmd0ZWFs The first sentence is “팔근육 무슨일?“ which directly translates to “arm muscles what happened?” but commonly used to expresse shock, (as he said) in a neutral way, nor positive or negative. But I think the next commentor misunderstood it. Based on the context, I don’t think he meant it in a negative way at all, he was just in a little shock, because he didn’t expect this much muscles from a non-athlete young adult girl, especially with a cute/pretty face like this. As a K pop fan, I hate to say it, but they make fuss about every little thing. Not just against idols, but among themselves too. It’s ok to not know Korean and make mistakes, but please just apologize and move on rather than attacking the fandom/country. submitted by /u/Antique-Aardvark-184 [link] [comments]
A bit dramatic title lmao But seriously, what are some songs you saw people dislike, and you just can’t understand how? For me it’s always when I hear people say ON by BTS is their ‘worst’ TT. I love that song so much, but personal feelings aside, I think I can say that even objectively it’s a really good and powerful song. May not be everyone’s favourite, but calling that song their worst TT is just confusing to me when PTD exists… submitted by /u/Specialist-Gear-4133 [link] [comments]
I don’t know why some of yall think I want your opinion!! Let people like what they like without treating them like they have no taste or class for listening to a song!! No one cares if you don’t like Jump, Gnarly, or Rockstar!! It is genuinely aggravating how it’s impossible to listen to music without a self proclaimed music expert in my ear telling me Lisa is insert internalized misogynistic terms like ok?? Can I listen to a song please without someone saying Jimin can’t sing, like i promise you I didn’t ask 😭 submitted by /u/Civil-Key-1424 [link] [comments]
A while back it was found out Higup Ent (Stayc company) trademarked the name 'Unchild'. The fandom thinks the name will be used for the new group which we think Na Haeun will debut in Unchild Do you think it's fitting for a group? Do you like it or hate it? submitted by /u/sunshineofkindness [link] [comments]
My friend and I had this discussion yesterday, and we found it interesting actually. We used Wonho as an example, she thinks that since he’s not in the group anymore he technically wouldn’t count as a bias. I get that and it makes sense, but then I feel like you’d have to pick a new bias JUST because your bias isn’t there anymore, no? 🤔 what do y’all think? submitted by /u/CeCeAlexus [link] [comments]
