3. TXT Yeonjun Had A Strong Impact On Me When Watching TXT In Concert!

  • 1 hour ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Hello all! I went to my first K-pop concert yesterday—TXT. I’m not a MOA, just a casual listener with a bias toward Soobin. Before last night, I would’ve said Yeonjun was the member I paid the least attention to. I never really connected with him in TXT content or music videos. I’d seen a fair amount, but maybe I just wasn’t immersed enough. But after the concert? His star power is undeniable. He has the kind of energy that I think could carry him into as much solo success as he wants. I also really like the direction he’s taken with his solo music—it feels fresh, and honestly, it’s something I’d love to hear more of. The whole experience has been stuck in my head all day, to the point that I had to make this post. It makes me wonder how my opinions about other idols or groups might change if I saw them live too. And honestly? I think it’s time for Yeonjun to push for a full solo project, and soon—especially before enlistment. I’d 100% go to a concert for his solo work. So, if you’ve never gone to see your faves in person, do it if you can. Concerts are a completely different experience than stanning online. submitted by /u/honeybadgerlanhua [link] [comments]

4. TIL that Google AI uses Reddit posts from kpop subreddits as a source of information, did you all know that already?!

  • 1 hour ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I was searching Google for Oneus Seoho to figure out what military branch he’s in. There are a lot of military performance videos with Seoho on YouTube (which is great so I don’t have to miss him too much lol), so I was wondering if he is in the band or what. Anyway, the Google AI Summary returned my Reddit posts as the top result. That’s crazy! No one should take my Reddit posts as a source of information, they should be going to the original source. Just wait until AI sees my kpoopheads posts lmfaooooo. While it’s kind of funny, it’s kind of creepy and weird too. Just another reason I won’t be trusting AI answers on Google. And I still didn’t find the answer to my question of what division Seoho is serving in 😭 submitted by /u/Funwithnugukpop [link] [comments]

7. BadVillain's THRILLER is so addictive, especially that last outro

  • 3 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I've been following this group purely because Kim In-hye is in the group and she absolutely killed it in MY TEENAGE GIRL (Seen here). I wasn't a fan of their debut song BADVILLAIN but oh my goodness Thriller seems to have the same kind of magic KOL's Igloo has. That feeling of nostalic 2000s club and Y2K if it had a baby. I don't know sonically if that's the right way to describe it, but I especially want to say how addictive that last chorus/outro is especially with the dance on the knees (purely on a visually satisfying way). submitted by /u/PoyuPoyuTetris [link] [comments]

11. Are kpop fans being too harsh about lipsyncing?

  • 3 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I feel like most kpop fans care more about visuals and the music itself than live performance. Plenty of groups lipsync often and still build successful careers. I’ve even seen groups lipsync at their own concerts and fans still pay good money to fill up the venues. Lipsynced performances still rack up millions of views and fans still show great appreciation for them. To give a recent example, Izna’s golden cover at KCON comes to mind. Many fans didn’t care if it was fully lipsynced. They were still praising their voices and calling it the best cover ever. To me, singing live doesn’t really seem to be a top priority in kpop these days. What do you guys think? Is all the outrage over lipsyncing just performative? submitted by /u/GainImpressive8183 [link] [comments]

12. Where do think newjeans would be if that whole situation never happened?

  • 3 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

This is something that is always on my mind since I used to be a fan newjeans’ music and concept, and it is very upsetting to me that we’ll never get to here what music they would have released and how their concept would have evolved. Not only that, I also wonder how much bigger they could have gotten. Like they were doing very well domestically and globally and had soooo much potential to become even bigger. I want to know what a full album from newjeans would have been like and what more could they have achieved. submitted by /u/M0us3Cheezz [link] [comments]
