For me I think it's those 3 txt songs. Eternally: I remember very well the first time I listened to it, I was laying in my bed. The first part of the song sounded like a lullaby so I was getting sleepy, but then the second distorted part came in and it literally jumpscared me 😅. It was so unexpected. But honestly, out of all the songs that have this change up in it, it's one of the best executed. It feels like a dream and a nightmare at the same time, truly a masterpiece. Frost: For this one, I didn’t expect to like it at all. Freeze was my very first comeback as a MOA so my expectations were very high. When I listened to the preview, I didn’t like the sound of it at first, so I was skeptical and a little worried. But I ended up loving the song, and even more after the performance video. It became one of my favorites from TXT. 0×1=LOVESONG: As I said, my expectations for this comeback were huge and they did not disappoint!!! It's still my favorite TXT song, and from K-pop as a whole. If only I could listen to it for the first time again… The song is truly mind-blowing, I can’t even describe it. Everything is just so perfect: the vocals, the instrumental, the emotions, the lyrics. It even dethroned Run Away as my favorite TXT song and I was completely obsessed with it when I was a new fan. I don't stan enhypen and Ateez (I'm more of a casual listener) but I also want to add Drunk-Dazed and Answer. They left me speechless, they are some of my favorite kpop songs. I really recommend people who have never heard of these songs to listen to them, truly one of a kind experience (at least for me)! I am also curious about yours and to make it more interessing It would be great if you explain why! submitted by /u/Technical_Walrus9158 [link] [comments]

I just watched some of the clips and here are my dream picks if there would be a next season: disclaimer: (most of these are wishful thinking lmao might be really impossible to have) Mamamoo x Destiny’s Child (their voices and i’d like to see hwasa and beyonce slay the stage together) Ailee x Jessie J (dudeee have ya’ll seen that bang bang cover??? i think they would compliment each other’s singing) Jamie x Ariana Grande (bc why not???) Katseye x Megan Thee Stallion (now ik she had her time with Billie alr but after that gap jeans ad… this combo will be HOT) Red Velvet x Kehlani (now idk why but i just feel like i’m cooking with this one…. u can judge me tho) Seventeen (esp them vocal line) x Charlie Puth (charlie is a genius, he would make any collab work like magic) ya’ll can judge me w/ my choices tho but what do ya’ll think? and if there’s anything u can change with this list, tell me! submitted by /u/gayahhbeach [link] [comments]
One of the most popular jabs against Twice for at least the last 4 years is how they can't even compete with 4th gen girl groups, even if it was just natural for new and trendy groups with fresher concepts and music and way more promotions to do that. But I think it's pretty safe to say right now that Twice has outlived all 4th gen girl groups, who are now going through the same thing Twice had to when they were 4-5 years old in the industry. So let's see the numbers in Spotify to compare and understand it: Twice, This is For | Total: 78m - Daily: 463k Lesserafim, Hot | Total: 117m - Daily: 277k Ive, Rebel Heart | Total: 67m - Daily: 119k Illit, Do the Dance | Total: 62m - Daily: 406k Aespa, Dirty Work | Total: 59m - Daily: 302k Babymonster, Hot Sauce | Total: 34m - Daily: 207k Nmixx, Know About Me | Total: 28m - Daily: 54k I-dle, Good Thing | Total: 24m - Daily: 61k Kiss of Life, Lips Hips Kiss | Total: 18m - Daily: 80k Itzy, Girls Will Be Girls | Total: 18m - Daily: 72k Stayc, Bebe | Total: 12m - Daily: 15k So in less than 90 days, Twice was able to outstream almost every 4th and 5th gen comeback, even if it was released months before them. And the terrible thing is the current daily streams, they are getting not only outstreamed by several tracks in each of those artists discographies, but also by Twice's 10 years old debut Like Ooh-Ahh and the lowest point in Twice's career One Spark. I can't even put into words just how bad it is for a freshly released song to be outstreamed by One Spark. Some of those daily streams are catastrophic, not only telling us how most of them failed to capture the public attention this year, but also how minuscule their fandoms are and how bad the future is looking for them. In the end, Twice and Onces had the last laugh. submitted by /u/randkpopstan [link] [comments]

Had this thought while listening to Billyeoon Goyangi. There's a part where it sounds like Minju is saying "Now I am gay~" Another one I have is from Agassy where Soojin sings "Your mom so gaEEEh~" Also in Loona's PTT "You're too gay" Anyways, comment what misheard lyrics you've noticed in kpop songs regarding being gay :) submitted by /u/EnniPumpkin [link] [comments]

I can’t say I have watched all the survival shows out there but I have watched a decent amount to make an opinion on them. It’s been a week since BP2 has ended so I wanted to share my thoughts(rant) about all the survival shows I have watched and what I think of them and whether I am stanning the groups or not. This is a long one.😩 Produce Season 2- One of the OGs. This show really cemented what people look for in K-pop survival shows today. Though it’s been way too long since I watched this show but it’s still an iconic one. My one pick was Park Jihoon(his wink convinced me to vote for himðŸ˜). Wanna one was really one of the best groups to come out from a survival show. Even though Daniel was the Center in my personal opinion Jihoon was solid as well. {Was a Wannable til the end.} Produce X101- Now this show was really dear to me. I loved all the trainees so much. My one pick was Song Hyeongjun. The outcome was so sad. I so was ready to stan X1. Who I still to this day think would have been the best group a survival show could have produced. Yohan was the BEST Center for me. Every other Center pales in comparison to him. If only Mnet didn’t rig the hell out of this show we could have had the best survival group. {Was so excited to be a one it.ðŸ˜} Under Nineteen- Oh how do I even start. Watching this show was a very interesting experience. My one pick was Kim Junseo. Tbh now that I really think about it I don’t really see much trainees from this show in the K-pop industry. I remember one of the most popular members Jinsung just disappeared all of a sudden. The company that managed them was so bad. Pocketdol is never good at managing their groups anyway til this date. They fumbled with this group honestly. Upsetting cause I thought the line up was solid. {Was a struggle to be a Wonderland.} Iland Season 1- Legit trauma from this. My one pick was Sunoo. This one really felt like survival of the best. The vote out system was brutal. I was happy with the lineup tbh. I think Enhypen is really well balanced plus we also got &Team so that’s good. {Happy to be an Engene.} GP999- I hated the cell thing. What the hell even was that?! My one pick was Seo Youngeun. J Trainees were ignored and C trainees were evil edited. The constant evil editing was so bad, I couldn’t enjoy the show at all. Okay this might sound bad to say but I don’t think the center was deserving. Like throughout the show I was convinced that Xiaoting was gonna be the center. And Yurina not being in the final up was the worst. I was so scared when Xiaoting wasn’t in line up but became a candidate for P09. P09 for Xiaoting?! My Foot! To this day for me Xiaoting is the center no argument. {Didn’t stan them was upset with the ranks in fact I’m still not over it} BP999- Hands down the funniest one out of the lot. So many memes came from this show. Not because of Mnet but because the trainees themselves were so entertaining. You could feel this bond amongst them. Even though Mnet evil edited the trainees as always the bond still showed. My one pick was Matthew. The line up can be questioned. As ZB1 they are really good tbh but when trainees like Keita and Jay didn’t make it to final line up, my mind had already said no on stanning ZB1. Ricky was a dark horse and Zhang Hao being center was absolute cinema. I think ppl were determined since the time Xiaoting didnt make center. It’s arguable on who is the better center. I do think Hanbin would have been a better center. Over all, I think the trainees from this show fared better compared to others like most of them have debuted. {As for ZB1 couldn’t stan them, didn’t like the songs tbh} UL- I was really disappointed. My one pick was Cha Woongki. After watching him in BP how can I not vote for him. The voting system in this show gave me a headache. The format of this show was bad. The team thing does not work well in a survival show. Like I was a Team Beat supporter throughout. Personally, if you liked Team Rhythm then this show is heaven for you but if you liked Groove or Beat then it’s hell. It’s essentially a popularity contest like every other survival show but in this one it was way too obvious. Like it was obvious who they wanted to debut. AHOF is good as a team but I’m ngl there were much more deserving ones who should have made it. I can only blame this whole team system honestly. {Will not be stanning AHOF} Starlight Boys- What the hell was this show even?! The most questionable survival show tbh. The boys were not promoted well at all. The lineup was also not the best. Hangyul that man. How many times does he have to go through this?! I was so happy when Sun Ying Hao stood up for the trainees only for Lee seungi to shut him down. Like what does he know about being an idol. No idol in their own concert will perform 30 songs without any break and not all songs have Dance routines. The only show in recent times to have a good group name and fandom name only to tank this bad. {I don’t even know how can one stan this group without any promotions} Project 7- Crap show as well. My one pick was Yichen. Lost interest after he didnt make it. Very questionable line up. They gave screentime to those who they wanted to debut. Like legit I felt like some of the trainees just randomly popped up cause no screentime was given at all. {Nope definitely won’t be stanning} Debut’s Plan- So much controversy. My one pick was Park Wonbin. I was so mad at the lineup! Like what you mean Jiyong, Jo Minjae, Wu Hao, Kaira, Haru and Kyuhyun didn’t make the lineup. Starship didnt make this survival show for the viewers but for themselves. Like what was the reason to even make this show if they specifically wanted some trainees to be in the line up. They could have just debuted them directly the group would gain popularity as IVE’s younger brother group. {This lineup was decided way before the show aired. Absolutely not stanning} B My Boyz- I came across this show while watching BP2. My one pick was Hyo. I watched solely for him after I got to know he was a BP1 contestant. I liked the show. It had less trainees so the screentime was divided very well. Looking forward to Yuhz. {No fandom name yet but I will be stanning} BP2- Oh this show. It was more exhausting than Iland and SLB. My one pick was Kim Junseo. I supported Yichen as well. Honestly wanted him to make it in the final lineup. But Mnet evil edited the hell out of him. I thought it couldn’t get bad but then they started evil editing Junseo as well. To say I was pissed would be an understatement. My only two picks being evil edit back to back was stressful to watch. Some contestants were given way too much screentime. I legit was so bored that I have skipped few epsiodes and only watched the performances on YT. Mnet was way too obvious this time with who they wanted and who they didn’t but it obviously didn’t work this time. Compared to BP1, I felt like the interactions between contestants were not shown properly. Only after the show ended that the friendships are being highlighted well. And what the hell is ALD1?! {Absolutely will stan them, first proper line up that I liked after X1. Just hopefully the fandom name is not Omega or something} BP2 Planet C: Home Race- Since Yichen has been confirmed to join I will be supporting him for his debut. submitted by /u/Rae_in [link] [comments]

I recently watched some reels and suddenly a AOA miniskirt dance cover popped up. And then another one...at this point I thought "well must be trending now but why is that?" - same with TWICE's "Look at me". I think it's cool to see these songs trending again but I mean it was like almost 10 years ago when the songs came out and some people just hop on the trend and think these songs are pretty new... submitted by /u/vdrawer [link] [comments]
