I was listening to my favourite kpop songs from 2024, some of which are: Cosmic by Red Velvet, Shooting Star by Kep1er, Virtual Angel by ARTMS... they all have such beautiful melodies. This year, I haven't had much luck with pretty melodies. Even the songs I really like so far don't have melodies that could compete with last year. Maybe the closest is Stunner by Ten? Or Nerdy by ifeye? I didn't notice until I realized I was craving them. I had a similar revelation last year when EXO released Let Me In/Hear Me Out, except that one was for harmonies in kpop. What, in your opinion, has been the prettiest melody you've heard this year in a kpop song? Do any of them make you wanna ride on the rhythm through the solar system? It’s given that they are all rounders as idols, but apart from that their side quests really got me. Cortis Martin - he’s listed one of the main producers of some Hybe hit songs and received his royalties at age of 15 or 16 while still a trainee. He composed his first song on his 4th or 5th grade. Hori7on Marcus- he’s done broadway musicals (lion king) in 5 countries and finished senior high at 16. He wrote some of their songs as well.
