I just saw TWS do the trending dance to the newjeans remix and I was just thinking about how many people/idols have been using this two year old song this past year ( i swear I’ve seen enhypen do the dance too not just use the sound but i either can’t find it or i was going crazy and it’s not real😓) Anyways I just think it’s cute when this stuff happens (there’s probably more idols doing this dance but this is just some!) submitted by /u/starsarrr [link] [comments]
And it was totally underrated. It should have way more views than it does. When this MV came out, I adored it. submitted by /u/Separate-Comedian-25 [link] [comments]

I was listening to my favourite kpop songs from 2024, some of which are: Cosmic by Red Velvet, Shooting Star by Kep1er, Virtual Angel by ARTMS... they all have such beautiful melodies. This year, I haven't had much luck with pretty melodies. Even the songs I really like so far don't have melodies that could compete with last year. Maybe the closest is Stunner by Ten? Or Nerdy by ifeye? I didn't notice until I realized I was craving them. I had a similar revelation last year when EXO released Let Me In/Hear Me Out, except that one was for harmonies in kpop. What, in your opinion, has been the prettiest melody you've heard this year in a kpop song? Do any of them make you wanna ride on the rhythm through the solar system? Maybe I overlooked it! submitted by /u/ilikeseals_030 [link] [comments]

girl confusion what rule did i break- is it because i said new kpop stans? submitted by /u/Ssqpphirc1111 [link] [comments]
some of these are probably applicable to multiple groups so I'm curious to see what groups come to your mind first! submitted by /u/YeosangYodeler [link] [comments]
It’s given that they are all rounders as idols, but apart from that their side quests really got me. Cortis Martin - he’s listed one of the main producers of some Hybe hit songs and received his royalties at age of 15 or 16 while still a trainee. He composed his first song on his 4th or 5th grade. Hori7on Marcus- he’s done broadway musicals (lion king) in 5 countries and finished senior high at 16. He wrote some of their songs as well. VVUP Kim- her academic background is impressive , a beauty and brain submitted by /u/Conscious-Cap-7250 [link] [comments]
I'll never get over her beauty and graceful movement during their live performance of The Fifth Season for M COUNTDOWN. Fancam of YooA here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YjJGkPQsDSQ submitted by /u/feigneant [link] [comments]
I thought it would be fun to start a little series called “This Day in KPop”, to spark some nostalgia and remind us of the songs, trends, and chaotic news cycles we lived through the years. Kpop moves so fast that it’s easy to forget just how different each year, and even each month, felt. Hopefully this can be a fun way for us to relive those eras together and maybe even discover (or hey, even rediscover) some of the gems. 🍈 Melon Chart 🍈 Here’s a snapshot of what Korea was streaming nonstop on this exact day. These were the songs blasting in cafés, filling karaoke rooms, and looping on everyone’s MP3 players/phones. It’s always interesting to see which tracks stood the test of time and which ones feel like a total “you had to be there” moment. ✨ Today’s Top 10 ✨ [Link to full playlist] Heartbreaker - G-dragon Abracadabra - Brown Eyed Girls My Ear's Candy - Baek Ji Young Ft. Taecyeon Wanna - KARA Lies Pt. 1 - T-ARA I Don't Care - 2NE1 Mr. - KARA A Boy- G-Dragon I Hope - FT ISLAND Hello (Ft. Sandara Park) - G-Dragon At this point in time we are a month into G-Dragons first solo album promotions and he is still managing to top the charts. Girl groups like KARA, T-ARA, and 2NE1 all battling it out, and Brown Eyed Girls were really shaking things up with that iconic Abracadabra concept. Surprisingly, we ended up with *two* collab songs in today's chart! * Music Video Releases Around This Time * Heartbreaker - G-Dragon [Still hitting #1 in the music video category] Abracadabra - Brown Eyed Girls [Music video version AND Stage version have taken the #2 and #3 spots on the MV charts] Amoled - Son Dam bi & After School [Honorable mention. Managed to chart #5 in the MV category despite not charting on the overall music charts] Link to the entire INKIGAYO broadcast from this week in music! Reminder that the hit songs are usually performed towards the end, but there is so much great non-idol Korean music that its honestly worth it to listen to the whole thing if you have the time. Lawsuits between SM Entertainment and TVXQ's Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu that erupted in the summer are currently undergoing review by the court. Back in August there was news about Rain debuting a new 5 member boy group, which how now been pushed to October of 2009. SS501's Kim Hyun Joong was diagnosed with swine flu (not serious news, but still a very "of the time" piece of news lol) I also made a short little 'Random bits' playlist from this week's time period as well! I'm really trying to keep it down to this specific date (give or take a few days), so please understand if I don't have every major thing from a specific group. Feel free to share any of your faves from around this period in time! Was thinking of making this a weekly thing where we can just dedicate some time and just remember certain groups or songs. submitted by /u/ftp_comingoa [link] [comments]
obviously not EVERY single person at their fanmeets is like this but i have seen many people who are just being nasty. not in a mean way (at least from what ive seen) and i know that its fairly common for fan servieces but the questions the minors of the group are getting asked js ick me. theyre kids and people are asking them whats the advantage of dating a younger girl? submitted by /u/Electrical_Target690 [link] [comments]
I haven't really gotten into them yet but CORTIS is seeing a lot of success right now, and I'm not just talking about between rookie groups. I mean that they're pulling crazy numbers that are already beating out established groups, it's kind of wild. They've singlehandedly occupied the Top 5 biggest streaming days for a 5th gen bg song with "GO!" (around 900K-1M daily) and "Fashion"(around 800K daily), which is crazy to think about considering they're out streaming other 5th gen boygroups that has years on them with their debut album. Their album also debuted with the highest streaming numbers for a 5th gen boy group (18M) surprising ZB1's 2 year old record with their debut album (11M). I'm pretty sure they also have the highest monthly listeners for a 5th gen boy group, and all of these numbers are STILL rising. They're getting around 2.6M-3M streams daily with just their debut album and are very quickly on their way to out stream XLOV, who is the highest streamed 2025 rookie boy group (debuted in January) by probably the end of the month. I read somewhere that they're also predicted to debut in Billboard 200 at around 15 which is insane when you think about how other very popular groups debut albums hasn't gotten anywhere near close to that. And I'm saying all of this because as someone not from the fandom, I thought with the way Kpop Stans were treating them and how they're acting, they'd be a flop! Come to find out, they're pulling all these? Yeah I guess X hate train really means nothing lmaoooo. Can't wait to really get into them! submitted by /u/kpopaddict101904 [link] [comments]
