i kinda wanna stan an underrated group, any suggestions? preferably bgs but im okay with anything :) submitted by /u/Ok-Challenge-6094 [link] [comments]
i discovered NERDY by ifeye from a tik tok hate post abt a month ago and omg im obsessed w this song and this group. is their sound similar to that of other gen5 ggs? ofc it is. HOWEVER! something about it feels so fresh and different that to me it makes them stand out. for example: there's no glitchy-video game sounding style, and most standoutish, ALL of those girls are SO talented. they are all BEAUTIFUL and can sing and dance so well that i do not find there to be any lacking. they deserve sm more love and i cannot wait for them to get big! if you love The Chase, Glow Up, Cherish (my love), or Tipi-Tap; you will LOVE ifeye and NERDY submitted by /u/Useful-Letterhead-61 [link] [comments]

I am absolutely in love with BEATPELLA, whilst not a K-Pop group, they have done a lot of features and covers with K-Pop artists too, and also... Am I the only one who thinks Yella.E (Female vocalist + Rapper) reminds me of Moonbyul?! )0:07 Shut down - Blackpink 0:39 Dance the night away - Twice 1:12 Love Dive - Ive 1:43 Wife - (G)I-dle 2:08 Supernova - Aespa 2:45 Money - Lisa 3:13 Rockstar - Lisa 3:39 Sheesh - Babymonster 3:55 Armageddon - Aespa 4:39 Baggy Jeans - NCT U 5:10 Maniac - Stray Kids 5:50 Antifragile - Le Sserafim 6:28 Love me like this - NMIXX 6:47 Butter - BTS 7:08 Get a guitar - RIIZE submitted by /u/Zandesh [link] [comments]
We've had many fun cross group collabs and performances over the years. Some of my favourites are- Boys Day cover of Something - Ren from Nu'est, Minhyuk from BtoB, Hongbin from VIXX and Seungjin from Ajax. Ren in particular looked like an absolute diva that day π€ Bambam (Got7), Minhyuk (BtoB), Minhyuk (MonstaX) and Youngjae (BAP) covering Bad Girl Good Girl by MissA BtoB's cover of Dumb Dumb. This one is soo hilarious and Eunkwang's shoe coming off in the middle of the performance just cracked me up. Twice's cover of Move and Taemin x Sunmi special stage where they appear in each others performances for Move and Gashina is also iconic. What are some of your favourites? submitted by /u/Chutneysandwich16 [link] [comments]

Hi everyone! I'm a Kpop fan (and student π©βπ) currently writing my masterβs dissertation on how idols influence brand perception and consumer behavior. If youβre into Kpop, Iβd love to hear your opinion! I created a quick and fun survey (takes about 5 min) Itβs totally anonymous, and your answers will help me so much π Thank you in advance !! And feel free to share it with other fans as well, every response helps me a lot (especially since Iβm so late in my timing to finish it oops) π P.S : this questionnaire is also translated in French as well submitted by /u/iScrewz [link] [comments]
ββββββββββββββββ Hey everyone I hope you all had a good week. I know my week was pretty good as we have officially moved into Summer. I hope you all have a great summer, which means I'll start looking for my Summer Anthem and Album, which I'll share at the end of August. This week was a killer week for music as we got some excellent tunes that kept pulling me back for more. I'm excited to share with you all what was released this week so let's jump into the music and see what was brought to the table. ββββββββββββββββ https://preview.redd.it/lvi2xjdhfb8f1.jpg?width=1536&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=118fa8439ec4dd88531ceaadfc8dcfd08dd0de10 Best of the Week: Bomb - ILLIT ILLIT returned this week with an album that hit hard as I've been listening to it on repeat. All the songs on this project have this catchy bouncy vibe that helped the tunes get stuck in my head. Little Monster does a great job opening up the project with its glitchy bouncy vibe that I've been loving like crazy. Do the Dance is the title track that has this melody that kept popping up in my head. The group has smooth vocals on this album that keep impressing me with each listen. I've been impressed with the group's music since debut and I'm glad they are continuing to put out catchy and playful tunes that keep putting a smile on my face. https://preview.redd.it/nnt5ualmfb8f1.jpg?width=2000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=27bac100566f4d0e18fb981030cb6fb8b3ab10a4 βββββββββ βββββββ Korean Releases of the Week: June 17th ICY BBY - Moon Byul Moon Byul has returned with a pre-release single for her upcoming comeback. The instrumental for ICY BBY reminds me of something ILLIT could do, but in a Moon Byul style. Moon Byul delivers smooth vocals blending wonderfully with the glitchy elements that keep this tune alive. The hook has been growing on me with each listen. We do get a rap section from Moon Byul that works well with the vibe the producers have crafted. I know I need to listen to this song more than I have been this week. https://preview.redd.it/ldsy95pqfb8f1.jpg?width=610&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d1ffebd13fa672304aaae349fa1b8678d263335e βββββββββ βββββββ June 18th STYLE - Hearts2Hearts SM Girl Group Hearts2Hearts is back with a new single that has been my second favorite thing this week. I love the DDR-sounding instrumental that helped bring out the catchy feeling this tune has hidden in it. The members have fantastic vocals that have impressed me since their debut. The hook is another moment in the tune that has that catchy feeling that helps get the tune stuck in my head. Now I know this might get some hate, but I feel like for me Hearts2Hearts is the best SM group since Red Velvet debut. I'm curious to see what else this group has in store for us with their music and I hope they put out a mini album soon cause I need more music from them. https://preview.redd.it/6cm07c13gb8f1.jpg?width=610&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=15ba189c469b687e4ff56832ab3a4aba511e21ec βββββββββ βββββββ June 20th TAKEDOWN (JEONGYEON, JIHYO, CHAEYOUNG) - Twice Jeongyeon, Jihyo, and Chaeyoung sing a new song for the Netflix animated movie called Kpop Demon Hunters. Synths open up the track as the members come into the mix with some smooth vocals that fit wonderfully with the beat. I love the electronic vibe that this tune delivers as it helps give this tune a groovy vibe. Chaeyoung gives us a rap that fits perfectly as she does a great job with her flow. The hook could've been a bit better, but I'm not upset by it at all. I'm glad these three members were allowed to sing this song cause they all work wonderfully with it. https://preview.redd.it/pdtbi8p6gb8f1.jpg?width=300&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=349d164791917d84b8216fc4509963e52e6fd829 βββββββββ βββββββ Non-Korean Releases of the Week: Drive - Ed Sheeran Ed Sheeran is gearing up to Release Play in September, but he takes a detour to deliver a track for the new movie F-1. Blake Slatkin & John Mayer are the producers on this track. This also marks the second time this year Ed and John worked together. A thumping guitar comes into the mix bringing in a rock vibe that sounds different to anything Ed has done before. The instrumental has this ruff gritty vibe that fits the vocals Ed brings to the table. The hook has that Ed charm that a lot of his tunes have. John Mayer does a killer job on the guitar adding to the overall vibe. This new soundtrack song from Ed hits hard as I know it will be on repeat for me. https://preview.redd.it/1i4ht54cgb8f1.jpg?width=300&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=822f3c96a4ff0ea3937b5b31b2c7050c167a8444 βββββββββ βββββββ Lastm Weekly Roundup (June 13th - June 19th) Artist: Twice https://preview.redd.it/x16oy8shgb8f1.jpg?width=2560&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=a1ec92987dd91052e7948d923e31f4ceac01bac6 βββββββββ βββββββ Album: Bomb - ILLIT https://preview.redd.it/j1abgx8ggb8f1.jpg?width=600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e88f99bf81da70131d0e1dc272299b54a98fa868 βββββββββ βββββββ Song: Little Monster - ILLIT https://preview.redd.it/awj4ih9hgb8f1.jpg?width=280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ab4ba9c15a0289b23acf4c93a83deb14103807b9 submitted by /u/Maltifandom23 [link] [comments]
Looking for songs that have the phrase green light(s) in them. I already have a red lights playlist which has WAY more songs in it, and I thought itd be interesting how many green light songs I can get. submitted by /u/liatism [link] [comments]
I was seriously not expecting EXO's song to be played because of how unfair they are treated when it comes to acknowledgement. That hawaii printed tshirt dude looks so much like Kai during Kokobop era. And the beanie guy looked a bit like Xiumin. I'm just so happy. submitted by /u/bamgeut13 [link] [comments]
What do you guys think about sm entertainments current gen vocal? People criticize their new gen vocalists submitted by /u/Dense_Ad3239 [link] [comments]
Iβm honestly annoyed they do this πππ ik ik theyβve been doing it in recent years but it just erked me that when they laugh they cover their mouths like πππ the fact that itβs all of them hiding their mouth when they exclaim or chuckle ππ SM and other companies please let them laugh in peace I beg. I need the old ways where idols would be laughing and throwing themselves on the ground to how hard they be laughing at each otherπππ they was rolling around on the floor now new gen idols act all poise all the time and come off as lacking personality.π submitted by /u/Raccoonani [link] [comments]
absolutely love it when idols go all out on stage... bringing the drama, fully embody the performance, and express so much emotion, especially through their eyes or simply immersed on stage. Who are ypur favorite idols who are known for this kind of stage presence and expressive performance style? Id love some recce! submitted by /u/halahalaholic [link] [comments]
We need to stop calling english kpop songs, kpop songs. Don't get me wrong i don't hate them, matter fact some of my favourite songs are in englisch like regular - NCT127 or who do you love - MonstaX It's just unfair since the english songs intend to perform better than the korean songs. When Bad bunny releases a song in english people also don't call it a latino song because it is in english. When BTS released dynamite or butter people say this is kpop because it was made by a korean group, but that shouldn't be like this. I know that this topic is not that deep but i just thought about it. submitted by /u/Injeolmie_04 [link] [comments]
Had this silly idea and I'm so curious to see the answers for other people! Mine would be Felix & Han (skz), Moka (illit), Yewon (fifty fifty), Cocona (xg), and Chaeryeong (itzy). The results would be insanely weird lol, I can't even fathom what kind of sound or concept they would settle on! submitted by /u/arbor-ventus [link] [comments]

Tonight I-dle has become the first girl group to win a Daesang at the Seoul Music Awards since Girlsβ Generation achieved this in 2010. 15 years have passed βΌοΈ I donβt think K-Pop fans put into historical perspective what I-dle achieved throughout 2024. If their 2022 and their 2023 were already stellar, they reached even newer heights last year. And I donβt think there is a single girl group that deserves this level of recognition and success more than them. Soyeon, Miyeon, Minnie, Yuqi and Shuhua are all five humble, talented, hardworking, authentic, innovative, personable, charismatic and beautiful angels that have gradually left a mark in the K-Pop history books. THANK YOU I-DLE for all you have done for this industry, and may you continue to expand your already amazing legacy! submitted by /u/KyeodeurangiMerchant [link] [comments]
Just had this random thought, they are a global group based in LA and are co-owned by a US label. I don't know how concert logistics work but it seems logical to me that their concert tickets should be cheaper, no? Also I suppose their future concerts in Asia will be more expensive submitted by /u/sueueu6e36 [link] [comments]
