8.354. Blackpink - Jump (new release) thoughts and opinions?

  • 2 months ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Apologies if this topic has been discussed before. I'm by no means a BLINK, but im a casual listener and have several BP singles on my KPop playlist. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised by Jump, and I was ready to hate it as it seemed imo like no one was really invested in the production of the song. I didnt listen to concert clips of the song so I just heard it with the MV drop. I think it's something different for Blackpink, a new sound that they haven't explored. When it started I wasnt convinced, but by the end I could see the vision, and im sure a lot of people will be dancing to this one, including me. What did others think? I have to say, mid-song I was kind sad that BP seem to be at the end of their days, and the members all are preferring their solo careers - only because BP had such minimal content over the years and I really think they're a great girl group, it would/would've been fun to see all the gg sound they could tap into and explore. Imo they were stuck on the same sound too long for the amount of content they gave, I would've liked some more diversity, but I genuinely love this output. submitted by /u/Rookie18 [link] [comments]

8.356. The concept of katseye almost always missing a member needs better management

(Ironic to talk about them in a kpop sub, but it's the only one where I can talk about this) Like babes, It is already very concerning in my opinion that there is always someone sick or with a broken ankle. And this advice goes especially with Manon and it's for the sake of her reputation, I understand and appreciate hype's work ethic of letting her rest properly for the broken ankle, but it's one thing to miss the MAMA awards and quite another not appering in the dance performance of Gabriela when everyone had been waiting for the choreography to realese since the song came out almost a month ago. Like... If you have to wait to record it until she recovers, do it. But it is not professional to leave the member out of group content, especially if it has to do with their music. submitted by /u/Key_Pineapple506 [link] [comments]

8.366. What do you think really drove Annie from All Day Project to debut?

  • 2 months ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Annie’s already known as the granddaughter of the Shinsegae Group's chairman, she’s literally rich rich. That’s why I can’t stop wondering why debut as an idol? was it because she seriously wants to become a global artist? Or maybe it was that classic early 20s I wanna be famous energy and she had the connections to make it happen? Not throwing shade but she’s actually a solid rapper and clearly puts in the work with dance too. I think she’s only gonna get better. But I can’t lie, I’ve been thinking about it. She already has everything. looks, elite education, wealthy background, the whole package. So why choose the idol life, of all things? It’s definitely not for the money. Then it must be about self expression or chasing a dream but I wonder if there’s more to it. Seeing someone like her go so hard for something makes me reflect on my own life. Like damn, if even she’s grinding this hard, I really gotta get it together too. First time in a while an idol’s made me think this deeply. 8.367. "JUMP" by Blackpink = Instant Mood Booster

  • 2 months ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Ngl, but I really enjoyed the MV and the music itself. Although many would disagree, but this kind of music is what I really need right now, it doesn’t try to be too deep, it just screams fun, and that’s the point. Sometimes you just want a song that lets you let loose, shake off the stress, and feel alive for a few minutes. submitted by /u/Conscious_Mall_8578 [link] [comments]

8.370. BLACKPINK "Jump" MV AI use 😭

  • 2 months ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Am I going insane ??? Literally no one is talking about the ai use, everyone is like omg the cgi looks so insane. THATS AI RIGHT ?? Apparently it's a new director, and that's his style... Ai ? Is that his style wth It gives me such an ick to see ai in creative spaces, especially coming from a huge group like Blackpink, the company could easily afford actors to do all that instead of those ai generated people. Also no choreography shot, when everyone was praising how fun the choreography looks during the concerts. Even the members looked ai tf ? Could yg not afford Blackpink members for their very own song ?? I kept double checking the channel to make sure it was the official yt channel and that I wasn't watching some fanmade mv. Even the voices felt off ? Rosé especially, maybe it's the heavy autotune.. the studio version feels so blank compared to their concert ones, pre releasing on the concerts wasn't that great of an idea.. but ong the ai usage covers it all. Honestly, the mv is such an ick to watch, especially going from Pink venom, which has jaw dropping sets to THIS. Ai usage.. when they can clearly afford twice the amount of actors than the ai generated people I seriously hate how casual ai usage is in k-pop :/ submitted by /u/Blaaap [link] [comments]
