So I remember there was a video in which bts flew to a western country (I don't remember which one) and bighit made bts members to sell tickets for their small concert. Bts was a new grp that time. The members couldn't even speak English and yet they were trying to invite ppl to their concert. Now as much as i remember Bighit added sad background music when members were trying sell tickets and ppl were ignoring or denying to join the concert(obviously I wont go with a stranger too just cause he is cute and he wants me to hear him sing) Which video was it exactly or am I tripping ?I do remember they did try selling tickets, I am not sure abt the sad bg sound though cause it sounds too wrong to be true lol. submitted by /u/Klutzy-Advisor2003 [link] [comments]

Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone knew to recommend of some songs/artists with a similar vibe to older Stray Kids songs, particularly Hellevator, MIROH, Ex, The tortoise and the hare, Silent Cry, Maze of Memories, Muddy Water, Any, Slump and Waiting for Us. Thanks so much in advance. submitted by /u/YeagerSuperiority [link] [comments]
What are your thoughts on TWICE's THIS IS FOR (4th full-length album), it has 14 tracks (13 if you discount FOUR, but that intro is amazing) in total. I think it's pretty cool, one of their best releases yet, but I see a lot of people not liking the shorter length of the songs. My personal favorites: FOUR, OPTIONS, PEACH GELATO, HI HELLO, BATTITUDE, DAT AHH DAT OOH, G.O.A.T., TALK, SEESAW. Most of the Formula of Love: O+T=<3 (their 3rd full album) tracks that I looped/repeated/replayed/etc. back in 2021/2022: ICON, CRUEL, REAL YOU, LAST WALTZ, ESPRESSO, REWIND, HELLO, etc. submitted by /u/MNLYYZYEG [link] [comments]
This one’s for the old-school 2nd/3rd generation K-pop fans who miss 3+ minute, melodically-driven songs with a heavy dose of idol angst! Build-up towards bridge till end was powerful and with impact. submitted by /u/Eevie25 [link] [comments]
T/W for sexualizing minors (if you couldn't tell from the title) So, I've been really into SHINee lately, and one thing I've enjoyed doing is browsing the WayBack Machine for their old videos. It's a fun look into the past, but sometimes I see some stuff I wish I shouldn't have. Today, I was looking at an archive from 2011 when I saw a title that worried me—"SHINee Moment #4 - SHINee Pole Dancing." I was hesitant because I was on an archive from 2011, when Taemin still would've been considered a minor in Korea (the legal age is 19, Taem was 18 in 2011), and so the video had to be at least that old. A lot of people will be familiar with the dodgy stuff young SHINee had to go through, like that Yunhanam show they had where they pretend-dated a bunch of adult women (and it was 2008, so only Onew would've been considered an adult in Korea). Still, I figured that maybe it could be jokey, maybe there was something in the video that would make it less weird. But this was much worse than what I expected. The clip is from a Juliette era variety show (not exactly sure of the dates, but the outfits and styling are def from Juliette), when only Jonghyun and Onew would've been considered adults. Onew's not even here, so it's essentially 3 minors and Jonghyun. The hosts are goading them on to grind on poles and such, making them do a "sexy dance." And that's literally what it says in the top left, if you can read Korean, just in case someone comes in here with a weird "well, ackshually, maybe..." (For the record, I can speak Korean.) At one point one of the hosts even says "make the pole your lover" to Taemin, who would've been about fifteen to sixteen. I didn't watch the full clip because I felt like I would be put on a list, but I saw ENOUGH. What the actual hell. And the worst part is that no one in the comments seems to acknowledge how dodgy this is. Most of the top ones are from decades ago, when the fandom culture was different (and I could tell you all about the sins of 2010 Shawol culture if I wanted to, but that's off-topic), which just makes this whole thing worse. These minors are so obviously being sexualized and everyone is eating it up! In the past, I've seen some other, more benign clips of this show being used to call out the sexualization of young SHINee, but this one is by far the most egregious and I've never seen anyone talk about it. submitted by /u/imnanbaboya [link] [comments]

Apologies if this topic has been discussed before. I'm by no means a BLINK, but im a casual listener and have several BP singles on my KPop playlist. That being said, I was pleasantly surprised by Jump, and I was ready to hate it as it seemed imo like no one was really invested in the production of the song. I didnt listen to concert clips of the song so I just heard it with the MV drop. I think it's something different for Blackpink, a new sound that they haven't explored. When it started I wasnt convinced, but by the end I could see the vision, and im sure a lot of people will be dancing to this one, including me. What did others think? I have to say, mid-song I was kind sad that BP seem to be at the end of their days, and the members all are preferring their solo careers - only because BP had such minimal content over the years and I really think they're a great girl group, it would/would've been fun to see all the gg sound they could tap into and explore. Imo they were stuck on the same sound too long for the amount of content they gave, I would've liked some more diversity, but I genuinely love this output. submitted by /u/Rookie18 [link] [comments]

(Ironic to talk about them in a kpop sub, but it's the only one where I can talk about this) Like babes, It is already very concerning in my opinion that there is always someone sick or with a broken ankle. And this advice goes especially with Manon and it's for the sake of her reputation, I understand and appreciate hype's work ethic of letting her rest properly for the broken ankle, but it's one thing to miss the MAMA awards and quite another not appering in the dance performance of Gabriela when everyone had been waiting for the choreography to realese since the song came out almost a month ago. Like... If you have to wait to record it until she recovers, do it. But it is not professional to leave the member out of group content, especially if it has to do with their music. submitted by /u/Key_Pineapple506 [link] [comments]
This day is even more special to me because these two girl groups are the ones who introduced me to K-pop. ✨ submitted by /u/why_dmn [link] [comments]
