There has been a ton of stuff to criticize about the handling of BABYMONSTER as a group and their music since debut from YG Entertainment. At first, I thought even though I heavily disagree with hating on a group for any reason, I at least believed that the hate was coming from valid criticism. Turns out, this is not entirely the case. "FOREVER" is an incredible song, and it is not just me who thinks that. While many non-fans favourite song from BABYMONSTER may be one of their more viral ones, most non-fans think FOREVER is the best BABYMONSTER song (at least from what I have seen). Even if this is untrue, very little hate exists for this song. Almost everyone admits it's a good song. Yet, it is almost never brought up in discussions about the group. This has got to be intentional. People like to choose and run with a narrative about BABYMONSTER based on partial truths and refuse to take an honest look at the group as a whole. It's like many people refuse to say or acknowledge anything good about them. P.S. I am not a BABYMONSTER stan btw, I just wanted to address this. submitted by /u/SnooOranges829 [link] [comments]

So as many of you are aware yesterday w Korea organised event cum party where they invited most of k-pop as well as kdrama and some elite rich people of korea for there breast cancer awareness party where they did everything other than spreading awareness about breast cancer. Many people are criticizing this action where all participants did was just drink and dance rather then talking about actual topic of event. Which made many people disappointed including myself. But people cross line where they started criticized karina for her dress. Many are even sexualizing her body as well as body shamming her. Like let's be real her guys she can't anything about her big breast like if you are a women with big chest you will understand how annoying those things can be sometimes. And event is about breast cancer many women in world don't even want to talk about it since breast is consider some taboo body part you can't talk about them openly. And here people are actually body shamming women for her big chest. Like you should speak critically about organizers of this event even about celebrities who attended this event but body shamming women is not it like you loosing plot here. And karina is always soft target when it's come to body shamming and sexualizing amount of deep fake and ai generated images you will find about her is concerning. You don't need to go anywhere here on reddit only some perticular sub reddit posts about her with thousands of up vote. submitted by /u/Hmanav16 [link] [comments]
K-pop stans want live performances, but the moment idols don't sound like a studio version (while moving around and dancing, mind you), they start nitpicking and hating on everything That's why k-pop companies keep feeding yall pre-recorded vocals. Let’s be thankful that Tzuyu still sang live while having a sore throat, she could’ve choose lip sync but she didn’t. submitted by /u/PutridCause5720 [link] [comments]
Hey everyone! I’ve recently finished watching all the Produce 101 seasons from South Korea (including Boys Planet and Girls Planet 999), except for Produce X 101 — I skipped that one since I already know what happened afterward. I also completed all the Produce 101 Japan seasons, and honestly, I loved them — especially the Japanese ones, they were the best for me! Now I’m planning to move on to the Chinese versions, but I’m a bit confused about where to start. I’ve heard that Chuang 2020, Chuang 2021, and Youth With You are all great, but I don’t know which one would be the best starting point or which ones have the most enjoyable contestants or performances. For anyone who’s watched the Chinese survival shows — Which one should I start with? submitted by /u/CoolOne5825 [link] [comments]

This is Not because I don't think she's gay or because I'm trying to be one of those "ShUt Up AbOuT tHeIr SeXuALitY aNd JuSt EnJoY tHe SoNg" people (i mean the song is hauntingly beautiful and the entire release is incredible and very powerful and moving and I've had it on repeat but also Holy Shit is it gay to it's core). It's just that Yves is so known as being gay among fans that when someone posts about the release with a caption about it being gay, the overwhelming response is just people automatically going "lol fork found in kitchen" or "you just realized that today?" and moving on with their day instead of actually going to watch the video and realizing that Holy shit she just released a genuinely amazing song with an explicitly queer storyline that is more open and intentional about it than like 80% of all the MVs that get called gay on here. I feel like I'm going insane. I've linked the video to all my friends who are into LOONA and half of them just assumed i was making a general joke comment about Yves being gay and it wasn't until i told them to actually watch it that they started freaking out about it. I know it's probably because the song has virtually no promotion but it is kinda crazy to me just how much it's slipping under the radar... submitted by /u/otterother [link] [comments]
congrats to Babymonster for having their first encore I think they wait quite long for this, they have won before with 'Sheesh' but never get chance to perform encore, I am glad 'We go Up' give them this opportunity (I miss rami so bad rn, i hope they perform along with her in future) they sound amazing here, especially ahyeon in the end (lol did she cried? in the end), btw i am loving Nmixx/baemon crumbs so much in the beginning.... submitted by /u/Loud-Conference-990 [link] [comments]

These days, unless it's promotions for sth, I feel like 90% of the time I hear sth about 1st / 2nd / early 3rd Gen - ish idols it's bc yet another one of them turned out to have a well... questionable character. Which does make me curious - who amongst the older generation of idols actually turned out to be genuinely decent people? (Before anyone says sth: this is just for fun, I do realize that there is no way to truly know what these people are like. Maybe the ones that seem decent are just better at hiding it. I also don't think that the newer Gens are any better. They just haven’t been around long enough to have their shitty behaviors get exposed or are quite literally children). submitted by /u/OkCauliflower7443 [link] [comments]
