I'm curious as to what strategy Taeyang took back in the day with his fans to have an overall positive reaction when he started dating Min Hyorin. Did both their companies make an announcement? Was it a soft launch? I know they are married now but I would love this to happen for other idols that want to date. I was craving some good vocals so I was rewashing Some Girl on Fire stages, and i started asking myself how come none of these girls are in groups cause they can command a stage with just them and their voices. They are performers very good ones. Extremely talented. And when people talk about the idols with "star quality" most of them don't have as much charisma as you would think they have. Jay from boys planet 1 again charisma and the talent to back it. You can't stop watching him. Yoon minso cover of 11 is a level of story telling very rare in kpop. Like these are people that are so very good to watch it's why they usually manage to viral. But the only thing they lack is the conventional attractiveness. Usually the prettier you are the more chances you get to improve your talent. People will watch regardless, and they have fans based on their attractiveness not the their "star quality" I can count like one hand idols who don't fit the typical beauty standard who actually have star quality. Most of these people are just pretty and we like looking at them cause they are pretty. My niece recently got into Kpop Demon Hunters and BTS. I'd love to make her a playlist of stuff to check out but my flavour is more noisy/intense - I've dipped in and out of kpop over the last ten years so my wider knowledge isn't huge. She likes Butter, Boy With Luv, Dynamite, and Permission to Dance so I'm looking for things along those lines - light, cheery, upbeat bubblegum ish I guess? I did try I Like It by skz but she was unbothered (cry bc theyre my ult). From a scroll through my library, I have so far: Just Right - GOT7, Pretty U - SEVENTEEN, LAST NIGHT - TREASURE, FREEZE - KickFlip, Wave - ATEEZ, Magnetic - ILLIT.
