Genuine appreciation for StrayKids, Chan and why I think moving to threads is a great move.

People try to tip-toe around it but it makes it even worse. I was on tiktok today and a user made a video about Jeongyeon supposedly losing a couple of pounds. They zoomed into her body and everything, then they said âhappy now, haters?â. Maybe Iâm overreacting but that video made me feel so uneasy. Of course, there were a few comments saying her styling is what made her look like she gained a lot of weight and they arenât doing her justice. To me, thatâs a whole lot of bullshit. The girl gained a couple of pounds, so what? People act like idols (especially female idols) putting on weight is like a death sentence. She recovered from a herniated disk and the steroid medication made her gain weight. People are saying she has Cushingâs Syndrome which I mean, what the hell? She hasnât shared that diagnosis ever. The first thing you see when you search up her name is weight loss/gain. Itâs almost like her name is forever tied to that. You cannot watch a video of TWICE without some weirdo saying something about her body. To put it bluntly, sheâs not skinny but she isnât overweight either. Itâs ok to be bigger than your team members, especially when youâve went through a traumatic corrective procedure and are on medication for the foreseeable future. I wish people (especially ONCEs) had more compassion for her and how sheâs putting so much effort into the group despite health issues. submitted by /u/iambunnycat [link] [comments]

Thatâs exactly how Iâm feeling about everything thatâs currently going on in the Kpop industry. Because what do you mean Ju Haknyeon got kicked out of TBZ for his association with a former Japanese adult actress? submitted by /u/Sufficient_Effort118 [link] [comments]
https://youtu.be/F4qFzuCA9Po?si=BSvwfrz_YO3CwtFw Hollow the album is just released yesterday! First of all, the song reminds me of SKZâs previous works like Laventer and Scars. And I can see how their Japanese musical motive is evolving from putting your whole life and effort for sucess in Scars and Social Path to obtaining your aim and embracing it in Circus to the aftermath of success in Hollow. It feels like a whole life story is being played out in SKZ Japanese discography. And I love it! I swear Chan and 3RACHA are polishing their writing and producing skill with the depth of the lyrics and song! If I would describe Hollow the song and the album it would be - Japanese-coded with SKZ-flair. The MV itself portrays the meaning of the song - their crystal heart they obtained with success breaking, making them feel empty - hollow as it is. I love the MV, one of their best Japanese MVs yet. And to tie all this - Hollow the song and the album is doing really well! The album sold 619,245 copies on its first day on Billboard Japan and copies on its first day on Oricon Japan, their best first day sales yet! I think they could get 1 million sales following Social Path (and Social Path is so beloved!). The song itself has over 6.48 million streams on its first week on Spotify and their highest stream so far is 1,567,993 streams yesterday. The album itself had over 2.7 million streams on its first day and all of its song entere Spotify Too Song Global Japan with Hollow at its highest at 23. And now the album is #1 on iTunes Europe and global. Overall, it is a crazy ride! We are still waiting for a Korean album but Hollow exceeds all expectation despite being a Japanese release. I would say it is my most favourite SKZ Japanese album. And Hollow and Parade are my top 2 favourites so far. Have a listen, Hollow may be a Japanese release but it is a great album. submitted by /u/Many-Ad-9007 [link] [comments]
Sure Jungwon has a nice vocal range but I think this opinion is way too unpopular for anyone to really agree with me. Jungwon of ENHYPEN has always been seen as a decent or maybe even over average artist in the vocal range. But as someone who is a vocalist and has been for a while, Jungwonâs voice isnât really pleasing to the ears and sounds really throaty or nasal. I feel like when he sings live (even when not dancing) it sounds different by a good amount. Even though he can hit higher notes it doesnât sound well and even though I think this, it doesnât matter. Heâs still considered one of the best vocalists in ENHYPEN. in my opinion most of the EHYPEN members have undeveloped singing voices except for like Heeseung and Jay. Sunghoon is the one I can SEE that has trouble singing. His voice isnât bland, plain, and not good overall. Itâs stable enough to sound okay but other than that itâs a vocal range anyone can reach with a bit of practice if youâre a male. Not an anti or a hater I just think this needs to be more out in the open that the ENHYPEN members were taught some pretty weird vocal techniques (mostly for Jungwon and Sunghoon) in this case, I think Sunoo sounds fine and Riki Iâd just consider a rapper/ main dancer or maybe even the visual of the group with Sunghoon. Sunghoon and Riki iâve seen are the best dancers. The best vocalists are Heeseung, Jay, Jungwon, and Sunoo. Jake also has a pretty good way to sing with his voice but I still think ENHYPEN has been one of those groups where I think HYBE needed to give them a bit more time.. Even though they were caged in I-Land for so long. Thats my opinion⌠submitted by /u/hueningkaiking [link] [comments]
Mine has to be when a carat asked if she could call Joshua mom. I legitimately died from second hand embarrassmentđ Another one would be that dance battle between Jay Park and J-Hope. submitted by /u/gocatchyourcalm [link] [comments]

so iâm pretty sure we heard the news about haknyeon by now and what the company failed to do was being transparent on the reason why the kicked him out, it didnât help that the media said that he basically did p* and him later coming out on insta saying that it wasnât the case so now fans are stuck in confusion on whether he really truly did it or not and still wondering whatâs the reason they kicked him out in the first place and i donât want to bring this up but one thing that SM did right was being transparent on the reason why taeil left and didnât release a vague and i guess you can say sugarcoated statement, also if he really didnât commit that then the company or any official party shouldâve said smth regarding the allegations (which i hope they do) overall this must be a sad and frustrating time for their fans as these past few weeks/months of scandals havenât been easy to witness and all i can say is take a break and step down if things are too much to process submitted by /u/Free-Application860 [link] [comments]
For the last two days I have been considering to not only post but how to write this to display my thoughts correctly and how I've been feeling for the last two days including since finding out SKZ has joined threads. I basically just wanted to show my genuine care and appreciation to the group from someone who has been with them since debut, I was a pretty d i e hard and cringy fan from 2017 to 2019 and possibly even a little toxic myself to be far. Involving myself in far to much activities (Streaming parties that yes and st upid ly involved having more then one account on YT đ¤Śââď¸, voting, Twitter, Bubble, ETC). Truthfully I did delete a lot of them due to my own embarrassment, thankfully around this time I don't think TikTok was a thing yet and although I did try it (as I tried to set up a Kingdom fan profile (kpop male group) my editing was terrible & it just wasn't my thing. And I realize it now of the groups I followed that maybe I wasn't the 'biggest' fan I was, I was probably just the cringest and loudest (SVT, WayV, B.A.P I'm so sorry lol, I also used to have a bad copy of iKON's bling bling hoodie...) When writing this post I came across a couple posts by people who have since deleted their accounts but a lot of their remarks about SKZ are still so true, within it they mentioned how a lot of their confidence has improved not just in general but on stage to. Despite all the issues the group gos through and stuff (which I do not ignore), it seems like around God's Menu, Chan, 3RACHA and the others really started to understand who they were musically and what they liked to perform most on stage. I think a lot of people forget about where a group starts (and even how we as people develop our music taste overtime). Even if I personally still enjoy the 'older' songs and favourites (Levanter, Booster, Astronaut, Maze of Memories, N/S, 0325, Get Cool (my top fav) and Mixtape:Oh) to name a few. I can't help look at them differently now, from the ones that used to comfort me in my darkest times to just purely enjoying the songs. You sometimes can't help but realize Chan's producing skill and his own improvements to. I know sometimes he doesn't always make a song purely by himself, he's more wholesome and inspiring then I think some give him credit for. There may always be good and negatives to every side even more so on the internet but it depends who you engage with and allow yourself to take part in to, with the recent announcement of SKZ joining threads I actually think its a great move I've heard a lot of deleting X/TW because of it to and I think that's a great start. For me personally I would love to see artists moving although I understand it from a marketing stand point it would be interesting to see if artists join BlueSky (a platform I know mostly because of it being originally created for digital design/artists I believe). Sorry for the long post, thanks for letting me get this out~ submitted by /u/Responsible-Box2876 [link] [comments]

I'm honestly so tired of Wonyoung being labeled as a dozen because k-pop fans can't accept that someone being pretty â being bad at everything. She has amazing stage presence, a beautiful voice, good dancing skills AND she can rap! I don't know if it's gg fan jealousy or parasocial boy group fans, but people will find a way to hate on her no matter what. For being fat, for being skinny, for being 'too tall', for being a 'pick me', for being rigged into IZ*ONE, for being a centre, for debuting young, she gets hate simply for the act of being beautiful, talented and successful! The recent discourse about her lip fillers reminded me of this because this isn't just Wonyoung, it's the majority of female idols! Yuna, for hip pads, Karina, for her chest + being Catholic, Sullyoon for not 'fitting in' NMIXX, Wonhee for being a 'bad' singer, Hanni for standing up against a bad company, Yunjin for being a 'hypocrite', Nayeon for getting veneers. The hate against female idols for doing things male idols would never think twice about doing because they KNOW there won't be consequences or criticism is so tiring, especially as a gg fan because I know every week fans are going to pick a new female idol to hate and criticise. submitted by /u/bestjunebug [link] [comments]
Since all the things that have happening these days I've been sure that there was IST behind. First of all everything I've seen is not even problematic, they just have some bitches, party and smoke, "so shocking!" But even if the info's or some of the info's are true, people are making the situation much bigger than it actually is. There are so much more problematic people in the industry and they go for people that are just living their lives. Every time something like this happens I actually get so pissed off because Koreans have some standards for the idols that are unreal. They don't even think that idols are people at this point. The fact that Tzuyu had to apologise for rising THE FLAG of HER country is unbelievable, while some idols get less hate for rapâŹ. This wasnt reported on here or on the main sub but looks like on Friday MC Mong was removed as a producer from 100 and "excluded from company operations due to personal circumstances." With the news of an unnamed producer also being involved in Hacknyeons controversy...i think it would be a reasonable assumption to make that HE was the producer involved This is a personal vindication for myself and others who have spent the last year sounding the alarm on this guy and saying we were worried about his association with Baekhyun. CBX, and Taemin. This man has a storied history of being a shady fraudster. Look at how much controversy all of the acts he recruited to join his company have been under. So, I think its safe to say HES been the problem this whole time. Im personally hoping Taemin has a short contract and he can leave for someplace else soon. As for Baek and CBX maybe they can sue and liquidated their company and move on as well so they can get their money back. Otherwise im worried about them too submitted by /u/127ncity127 [link] [comments]

The same people who cancel idols over the smallest things are now token stanning Allday Project, a group filled to the brim with blatant cultural appropriation, just because it helps them snark on ILLIT. The same thing happened with Garam and Le Sserafim. People suddenly became her biggest defenders not because they cared, but because it was another convenient way to hate on LSF. Now itâs happening again, this time with Youngseo. Suddenly antis care because she became useful for an anti ILLIT narrative. What did these girls do to anyone??? People are creating fake accounts with ILLIT profile pictures, posting vile shit just to screenshot it and use it as âproofâ to attack them. Itâs manufactured. Itâs targeted. The Black Label has also been moving weird. Every single time ILLIT released something: teasers, photos, MVs, Allday Project drops something right after. The timing is constant. Itâs calculated and obvious. What the hell is their problem? None of this is random. This all started with NewJeans and Min Heejin. They encouraged their fans to tear ILLIT apart, turning it into a now year long hate campaign thatâs mentally destroyed those girls. Mind you, this was a PLANNED attack. Itâs pure cowardice and cruelty and people should never forgive those bullies for the damage they have done. submitted by /u/thebarted [link] [comments]
Especially 100 trainee shows, do you just remember the names or faces of who did what? I forget who did what but I screenshot the names of those that I liked and vote for them, and eventually I start liking new performances and coming back to the screenshots and being like ohhh it's the same person! And then eventually remembering most of my favs in mind too submitted by /u/Guitarbox [link] [comments]
