BTS had their comeback OT7 live a few days ago, in which they were their usual chaotic selves. Beyond the laughter, giggles, and overall chaos, they also used the Weverse Live to share their plans as a group, specifically about THE OT7 comeback. They teased a spring 2026 release for their album and mentioned that they will spend a lot of time together, starting in July, to work on the album as a group. To do so, they will travel to the US along with Jin and follow him throughout his tour, so he can also be involved in the process, which I think is so endearing and just peak OT7 energy. They are planning a song camp and talked about going back to basics; the last time they did something similar, we ended up with Dark & Wild, which in my opinion is one of their best albums sonically. And it will be incredible to see what kind of album a more refined, mature, more relaxed (since they were so tired filming American Hustle Life during Dark and Wild) BTS will create all together in a similar setting. I also really hope they document the album-making process with a documentary or docuseries, similar to what they did with their solo releases. Namjoon is also the first member to depart for LA and he just posted saying that he is "Ready to cook" and also posted a picture of his lyrics notebook and to say I am seated and super excited for the music that he is ready to create and the stories that he wants to tell is an understatment. Namjoon mentioned how he couldn't write anything at all while in the military and couldn't create at all because he wasn't in the right creative space, so seeing this post further makes me happy, realizing that he is now back in his element, ready to do what he does best. I am also really intrigued by what the final album will sound like. Their solo eras have shown how multifaceted BTS is, from the themes they explore to the genres they dabble in and even their performances, so it is sometimes wild to think they are all in the same band. Moreover, their solo albums are authentically them, so it will be interesting to see how we will see a glimpse of that in the album, while it is uniquely BTS. I feel like an album that is a mix of Indigo, FACE, Hope on the Street, and Right Place, Wrong Person, something equal parts introspective and dark, equal parts funky with a mix of pop, but also something that pushes the boundaries a bit, will go insane. But whatever they managed to create, I know it will still be incredible. submitted by /u/Ghetto_Leda99 [link] [comments]
For the people that enjoy kpop ballads/peaceful songs, what would you recommend if I told you I love songs like; Love wins all-IU Gravity- Taeyeon Only -Leehi Iced Coffee- Red Velvet To my youth- Bol4 Fearnot- Le sserafim Meant To Be- Stayc submitted by /u/Impressive_Cod9892 [link] [comments]
We all know that idols don’t hate each other like their fans do, but seeing so many idols attend BP’s concert is amazing. I saw so many positive interactions between fandoms that would otherwise rip each other to shreds, in my personal case since I’m a fearnot, I saw so many blinks appreciate the girls for dancing, singing, holding their flashlights up. We need more of this in kpop, I know there are also a lot of haters that want to ruin the fun for everyone but it’s an otherwise awesome moment. submitted by /u/DotEither8773 [link] [comments]

So if you look at the most popular 4th gen boy groups (which I would consider to be The Boyz, Stray Kids, Ateez, TXT) all of them debuted by early 2019. However if you look at the most popular girl groups (which I would consider to be Aespa, IVE, Le Sserafim, NewJeans) they all debuted in late 2020 or later. What explains this lag? I guess one big factor is girl groups waiting for IZ*ONE to be done to get their members...but there's probably other reasons too? Anyone have any insight on this? Note that even if you might disagree with what I selected for the 4 groups, those groups are all huge...and the point still stands. submitted by /u/SpecSlayerSC [link] [comments]

mine: oh my mistake by april ik its supposed to be a cutesy song with a nostalgic 80s beat but idk why it makes me uncomfortable. and then i read the lyrics and it made more sense “It's my fault I was born with enviable looks Beauty is a sin, it's a problem obviously I made you crazy about me, oh my mistake” Lowkey I thought at first it was them bragging they are so pretty but now I get it… it’s about how one’s beauty causes unwanted attention from others which ends up making whoever they with jealous so she ends up blaming herself for it. And it later goes on talking about what do i do to be sincere to u etc. And i think now i get why i had an unsettling feeling about this song submitted by /u/Major-Specialist3658 [link] [comments]
Have recently been very much into Katseye and I know they’re not exactly Kpop but are there groups you can recommend that give off the same vibe? I love the energy of their performances. And how they all serve different looks but have insane chemistry and synchronization. I’ve also been liking Twice but am still going down their list of performances. submitted by /u/ApprehensiveTreat240 [link] [comments]

For me, these are: “Gnarly” – KATSEYE’s facial expressions are really something I look forward to in every performance. They bring so much character and attitude that the live stages hit way harder than the audio version. “Crazy” – I would never get tired of watching LE SSERAFIM perform this. Same song, but every stage gives off a different vibe. Their synchronization and stage presence are just amazing—it makes the live version way more exciting. “Thunder” – I actually enjoyed SEVENTEEN’s performances of this song more than just listening to it. Maybe it’s because I saw their 10th Anniversary B-Day Party performance first before hearing the song itself. submitted by /u/why_dmn [link] [comments]
