This morning I woke up and saw what happened with jungkook last night and I saw the Weverse post and all the comments. I just felt like Jungkook is not a child, he’s a grown man, he’s 28 years old, hes been in the industry for 13 years and I don’t know why everyone thinks it’s okay to baby him. Yes, he’s free to have his own thoughts and opinions, but by sharing those thoughts and opinions outwardly he should know he is going to expect some criticism. As an American army, I’m really disappointed and I was so excited for the comeback but it’s really left a sour taste in my mouth. All the comments were something along lines of “jungkook don’t worry, it’s not your fault” but he’s been in the industry so long and it’s hard for me not to think he didn’t at least have some idea of what it meant. I just wanted to hear other people’s thoughts to know if what I’m feeling is justified or not? I’ve been an army for 7 years and I just feel so upset about the whole thing ☹️ submitted by /u/SuggestionOk8790 [link] [comments]
not to beat a dead horse but recently i’ve been getting more & more annoyed by how nasally idols voices are. i use to like it since it didn’t seem very common to me when i first started listening to kpop but now it feels like (and in no way am i trying to be mean, i love my ggs) every gg idol has the most nasally voices ever,,,am i tripping or something?? like i could’ve sworn it wasn’t as bad as before but Everyone sounds so congested now submitted by /u/enyabit [link] [comments]

Helloo!!! 😊 I'm from Romania and I need help with my bachelor's thesis, and the subject is ✨K-pop✨. I would be extremely grateful if you could take a bit of your time to complete a questionnaire that takes about 5–7 minutes. 🫶 The research focuses on analyzing communication between fans and fan-idol interactions in K-pop within national and international contexts. You can choose if you want to complete it in Romanian (for romanian fans) and in English for other nationalities. I'm in a time crunch, so all help is welcome. If you don't want to complete it, that's fine, just please be respectful and don't give random answers, as it will be damaging to the research. 🥹 Thank you so much for your time, and have a nice day! 💜💜 Link: https://forms.gle/udh4tw2ZudXsAiX6A submitted by /u/Salty-Teaching-6659 [link] [comments]

now obviously i'm generalising but it's something i've noticed and i haven't seen many people talking about it with groups debuted by companies (not through survival shows) especially recently, i feel like the members aren't really unique. all members are forced to have this careful image and it makes it worse with the fact that companies now insist all their members are all-rounders and don't use positions. bring back positions please! (survival shows obviously help the members have some kind of 'position' as they are ranked) also, survival show groups are funnier to me. i'm not entirely sure why but i feel like the members are less pressured to fit an image on the show and have to be funny as another way to compete, especially if their vocals, dancing and rapping (and sp) are not as strong. please tell me someone agrees with me? submitted by /u/17sme [link] [comments]

For those who don't know what the term Red Face means, well., Here's an explanation. In Korea, writing a living person's name in red ink is considered really unlucky and it could be harmful in deadly ways. Basically, it's what the red face is, but it's a bit different. Doing a red face on someone in Korea means you wish them death, or you want them to die. It's mainly 2 Tiktokers that will be listed. They both take random photos of Straykids members, and editing them to make them look so distorted, scary, or dead. Sort of like analog horror, but here's where it gets serious. The first TikToker, redfacehyunjin0, has a bio saying "Hyunjin next Moonbin" which is extremely disrespectful on many levels. Moonbin was a K-pop member of the band ASTRO. Before he got unalived by a heart condition on April 19th, 2023, not very long ago. And redfacehyunjin's videos of... Well, you guessed it, red face Hyunjin. The second TikToker goes by the name redfacestraykids on TikTok. They do the exact same thing as redfacehyunjin. They take random photos of Member(s) and make them look scary, distorted, or dead. Hopefully TikTok reaches out onto this and bans these accounts. It angers me to the point where I want to punch a hole into my wall. What did they every do to them??? Anyways, may God protect our Straykids and other K-pop bands from these people. Seeya, God bless y'all. submitted by /u/wiggly_worms121 [link] [comments]
Our friends bailed on us for the Blackpink Chicago concert on July 18 😭😭 Now I have to get rid of 4 tickets. I'm selling them for less than I got them for at $130/ticket, just hoping to recuperate some of the costs back. They're from ticketmaster and I can provide receipts. Please let me know if you're interested. I can do a video call and I'll accept venmo or zelle. Thanks everyone!! submitted by /u/arisun3 [link] [comments]
I’m in my 40s now looking for somewhere to go to enjoy kpop in my city, but i don’t know how to do it in a non-creepy way. Every time i try to talk to a random with common interests they have super creepy undertones. I just want to live my normal life but meet some friends that share interests without creeping on things. does anyone have the kpop rosetta stone? I wanna chat about biases without creep shit. submitted by /u/zoooeys [link] [comments]
