D.O. is back teaming up with Rapper Penomeco for this pop-punk track that I haven’t listened to a lot. I do like the guitar and percussion that blend with the smooth vocals from D.O., but I find that the instrumental is lacking something. I find that these other pop-punk tunes have done more than this song has brought to the table. Penomeco does a decent job delivering his vocals, adding to the overall vibe, but I still don’t think his feature saves this track at all. The first track. is M.O. that fits Yuqi perfectly. The thumping beat reminds me of 'Uh-Oh,' which fits Yuqi perfectly, as his deep voice adds to the vibe the producers crafted. I love the bass guitar before the hook comes into the mix. The piano melody during the chorus is something that has helped get this tune stuck in my head like crazy. 아프다 is the second song on the single, opening with this guitar melody that opens up the track beautifully. Yuqi goes for a sweeter vocal tone that fits wonderfully with the smooth instrumental. The hook brings in a pop-rock sound that is packed with emotion, which pulled me back for more this week. I just realized the third song on the album is just a Chinese version of the 아프다. Bad Girl is the opening to this single album, bringing in a funky-synth-pop beat. The vocals from the members are smooth, fitting wonderfully with the smooth instrumental that also has an echo effect to it. The hook is pretty decent as it’s been growing on me the past few days. Lost is the title track, opening with a guitar melody as the vocals bring in a sweet tone. The thumping of the percussion adds to the mix, making this tune a bit upbeat. The hook is one I enjoyed the first time hearing it, with its thumping nature. One interesting thing about Lost is that we got production from Charlie Puth’s Brother, Stephen Puth. Nauty is the final song on the single album, bringing in a guitar with some synths. I do like the vocals that blend with the instrumental and bouncy percussion. The hook still needs to grow on me cause I’m not loving it at the moment. I just find it funny how immediately after I comment any innocent and innocuous comment about nct outside the nct subreddit I get downvoted. I could be having discussions about their music or replying to someone and I’ll still be downvoted. There are so many songs like that but lets go with the most recent one probably, In your fantasy by Ateez. And don't get me wrong, I love Ateez and the song is amazing but only when I don't really listen to the lyrics. I’ve watched all their content. I’ve watched their documentary from start to finish and I still don’t get it. I’m at a complete loss. That one man from the A&R team said Juhoon is smart but I’m not getting any of that. Juhoon may be book smart but he doesn’t seem to have anything compelling to say. I find Martin to be far more insightful. Another supposed strength of Juhoon’s is his past activities as a child model but if anything that makes me just side eye his parents. Was bighit a&r hoping Juhoon’s previous activities would bring the team clout? There’s far more clout from just being a bighit group alone. Not to mention how the other members bring SO much to the table. I’ve only seen Juhoon be abysmal at pretty much everything the other members excel at. If there’s something he excels at, it’s being unable to speak without unnaturally puckering his lips. That and speaking at a speed that puts zootopia sloths to shame. He also gives me massive Korean incel ptsd and I’m not at all going to be surprised if he ends up having a xdinary heroes junhan-esque controversy. I’ve never been put off by someone to this extent before so much so that I can’t stop picturing the group without him. Personal reservations and conjecture aside, objectively what does he bring to the table? Because I’m half in love with this group but Juhoon alone is putting a huge damper on stanning because he’s such a perpetual annoyance.
