"I hate it when male idols masculinize female groups choreography" but if they did the original choreography, they would be called "too affeminate".

I dont really stan Katseye, but I did listen to SIS and enjoy the album. I also watched the Netflix documentary and saw the discussions surrounding the members, like Adela, Lexie, Emily, Naisha, Marquise and Samara. I am aware some of them have been discussed to have beef with eyekons because of how some of them behaved on TikTok, regarding posts they have reposted, stuff they liked which makes me curious why did Hybe still decide to try and help her debut. Wouldn't someone kinda controversial cause problems for the rest of the group? Or did Hybe go Mitra's path of "all for entertainment/view" and decide to risk it. I am curious to see how Eyekons will react to this. This group that Hybe and Geffen will try to make may be Katseye's true rival group and the fact they are under the same label will be... interesting for sure. Katseye didnt had any competition at all till now, and their identity was quite unique in the kpop world. Like VCHA went on hiatus before they could go big and personally I dont see Dear Alice as competition as I have not seen them go viral yet. Really curious to see people's thoughts on it. submitted by /u/Stephan2005 [link] [comments]

[Just an opinion] Obviously I'm not against idols doing dance challenges with female idols, but it strikes me as odd that every time a male idol does a GG choreography, people complain that they "masculinize the choreography." I think the problem here isn't that idols do it to be annoying or because they can't do the steps, but because they know that if they follow the choreography, the internet will call them "gay" or "affeminate." Sadly, that's the reality many male idols have to endure. Change must happen online, not through idols. That's why I applaud the fact that idols are now daring to dance without caring what people say. submitted by /u/_issio [link] [comments]

Lets say that you are trying to introduce your friends or family into the K-Pop world, which song are you going to play them? I would play STUNNER by TEN. This song is soo good, and no one can deny good music. submitted by /u/Artistic_Giraffe4069 [link] [comments]
I have been seeing a few different people on various social media outlets analyzing idols and diagnosing them with various mental health disorders like Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, OCD, etc.. As someone in the mental health field, this feels so unethical and ignorant. The worst is when they preface it by saying that they are in the mental health field as a way to provide credentials. First of all, there is a process that goes with diagnosing an individual. Yes, observation is a huge portion of diagnosing. However, the observation can't be done based on videos we see of them. We do not know these people. We do not know how they are in real life. We can't use observations based on what we are seeing from edited videos. This isn't even factoring in typical psych testing that is done. I think it's great that people are more open to mental health disorders generally, but let's stick to discussing our own experiences instead of sticking a label onto someone else. submitted by /u/imgurgal [link] [comments]
