Hello, ONCEs! 💖 I’m a BS Architecture student (and fellow ONCE 💕) currently working on my undergraduate thesis titled “The Architecture of Anticipation: A Study on Evaluating Threshold Spaces in Philippine Concert Venues and Their Role in Shaping Fan Experience.” I’d really appreciate your help for my study! Basically what I'm trying to say is do you choose your bias based on their skill in vocals, rapping, dancing, the maknae, the prettiest or the one that is the most popular etc.I personally choose the one who is the main vocalist most of the time, as I just love listening to the soft high note parts of a song-in a case where I think the main vocalist is not the best, I choose the best one, and sometimes I just choose the one who has instant aura in a group. submitted by /u/Particular-Rain116 [link] [comments]

I was just having a huge wave of nostalgia thinking about how I first discovered kpop and all the resources I used back then. For videos, it was a mix of a few platforms! Obviously, there was a ton of time spent on YouTube, but I remember watching a lot of uploads on Dailymotion back then too, especially for older or less-available content. And of course, V-Live was absolutely essential! I remember purchasing CH+ just to see the behind-the-scenes videos and photos for shows like Run BTS. There’s also Spotify but I’m too broke to pay for monthly subscription so I made multiple emails and survived on free trials. 😅 Speaking of BTS, I also remember getting completely hooked and downloading the BTS World game! I spent so much time collecting cards and going through the storyline, Jin and Taehyung’s acting was great! As for the rest, and I’m saying this with love, should stick to music. LMAO. The soundtrack was awesome!!! Also one of the main websites I practically lived on was kpopping.com, there’s a ton of kpop profile websites but I loved that site! It was so much fun reading through all the artists' profiles, and the best part was that you could contribute to the community! I spent so much time adding photo albums, editing profiles. I'll go first! Rolling Quartz deserves more popularity! They focus in a rock genre. I got to see them on tour this year and got to do Hi-Touch with the members. They put on an absolutely amazing show, interacted with the audience, and are super sweet. They performed their own songs as well as a few covers of western rock songs (Kickstart My Heart and Crazy Train, for example), as well as doing a remix cover of Mic Drop by BTS and Pink Venom by BlackPink. As a multistan, I like to think about hypotheticals (like, how would I organize teams if Stray Kids and Seventeen were to do a variety show together, or what would be the ultimate funniest seven member girl group, or what would be the most OP leader only group with at most ten members). And while I don't necessarily like ranking groups because they're all incredibly hard working and talented, I do enjoy ranking songs I already like from those groups because it's a fun, hypothetical, critical thinking exercise. I’ve noticed that in some fandoms, the maknae gets really babied no matter how old they are, while in others, they’re just treated like any other member. Sometimes people see them as the group’s “baby,” and sometimes fans barely mention that they’re the youngest at all. How’s it like in your favorite group? Ever since the last i-dle album came out, the track Miyeon wrote/composed reminded me of something but I couldn’t put my finger on it, until this week when Spinnin On It came out, and it finally hit me: it kinda sounds like it could be an NMIXX song. NMIXX - Spinnin On It i-dle - Unstoppable It’s a different vibe, but the drums/bass/ad-lib layering has something, or am I crazy?
