4.494. choose 1 from each position to create your SUPER 4th gen boy group

You can also give your group a creative name, what would their concept/overall sound be like? etc (pls don't report my posts if your faves aren't here... this takes a lot of time to make. ) submitted by /u/KpopDivas [link] [comments]

4.495. I miss NCT Dream's older concepts and tracks

  • 1 month ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I followed NCT dream in 2020-2023, years where the group hit its stride music and concept wise in my opinion. Hello Future, Candy, Beatbox, and so on, was a generation run in my opinion, and I don't think it's a surprise that ISTJ is their best-selling era as a result. The bsides were no slouches, either. Now I can imagine why they want to move on from the youthful concept, but the hard left turn recently starting with Smoothie is so jarring. Group progressing their sound is good, but I'm not sure it had to be like this. Just my two cents. submitted by /u/Recent-Pension1179 [link] [comments]

i was scrolling through twitter and came across blinks spreading the vid of jimin in Paris claiming its recent and that he was doing drugs (obv not true). Got me wondering was this actually a big deal when it came out in 2019, did ppl actually talk abt it in korea or was it just intl antis dragging him? submitted by /u/jmrmjksgvjinjh [link] [comments]

4.498. I just realized that Dahyun could actually portray Kaori in “Your Lie in April.”

First, she’s charismatic and bubbly like Kaori. She’s also musically inclined, and there are even rumors that she can play the violin. I can’t believe I only thought of this now, as someone who cried over that anime and as a ONCE. submitted by /u/why_dmn [link] [comments]

4.502. Enhypen being the only group hated on for fatphobia is performative

  • 1 month ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

cw: talks of weight, fatphobia Lowkey this may be because ive been on twitter a lot lately but the way Enhypen is CONSISTENTLY the only group that gets dragged to hell and back for fatphobia is so??? confusing to me?? A lot of mainstream kpop groups in the current industry have had members that have had said something fatphobic, either in general or directly to another member (seriously the amount of idols that have straight up called another member a pig is insane) but without fail, Enhypen is the ONLY group that I see consistently get whacked for it, and its just?? So confusing as to WHY This is not me trying to excuse any fatphobia by the way, I do think that groups and specific members should be held accountable. Though when people will say something about Enhypen fat-shaming Sunoo, but then turn around and praise another group that has said something either to the same degree or worse it just completely comes off as non-genuine and more like you’re using gotcha points to win a fan-war, if you get what I mean? It’s a different conversation if you’re holding both Enhypen AND the group you enjoy accountable, but when you bash one group and actively praise the other when they both have the same issue it comes off as incredibly performative. The actual amount of worry that people seem to have for Sunoo being actually bullied by his members is so little and how weight is treated as a topic just seems SO inauthentic. submitted by /u/hachune01 [link] [comments]

4.508. is it weird to connect more with an idol if they’re closer to my age?

  • 1 month ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

I just had this thought that I notice that I tend to gravitate towards members if they’re especially around my age??? which is usually maknae members, but like, not just ALL maknaes. For reference, I’m born 08, so like a maknae from say a 3rd gen group wouldn’t make a difference to me as the oldest member because either way theyre most likely born in the 90s. But for 4th/5th gen groups I feel like I always have this subconscious bias towards members that are born like 2005-2009 😭 if im going into a group mindful of when the members are born before stanning I feel like I’m often (but not always !!) gonna end up picking the youngest member, or even second youngest for some, to be my bias regardless of if their specific talents appeals to me a ton. its kinda like my brain already likes them lmaoaoa Anyway, is this sorta weird? I don’t wanna come off as brushing off other members because they’re older than me by a lot of years, especially cause i see most people stan their bias regardless of age gap. I just sometimes feel more comfortable with idols that are in my specific age range ig??? submitted by /u/hachune01 [link] [comments]

4.510. SM should've made Be Natural a generational song.

  • 1 month ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Be Natural was such a good song from S.E.S and even better when Red Velvet re-released it. Now seeing Ningning from aespa cover it, i wonder why SM didnt make any of their 2nd gen girl groups cover it. What do you guys think?? especially because of smtown and everything like to have all of their girl groups perform the same song would've been cool. submitted by /u/Beneficial_Rule_85 [link] [comments]
