The police investigating HYBE Chairman Bang Si-hyuk for alleged fraudulent dealings have begun a search and seizure operation at HYBE. On the morning of the 24th, the Financial Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency dispatched investigators to HYBE’s headquarters in Yongsan-gu, Seoul, to carry out the raid. Chairman Bang is suspected of making existing HYBE investors sell their shares by falsely claiming in 2019 that there were no plans for an initial public offering (IPO). However, HYBE later did go public, reportedly resulting in profits worth several hundred billion won. He is also accused of forcing the existing investors to sell their shares to a special purpose company (SPC) established by a private equity fund. It is known that one of the three registered executives of the fund at the time of its establishment was an acquaintance of Chairman Bang. Earlier, on the 17th, police had applied for a search and seizure warrant targeting HYBE’s headquarters. However, on the 21st, controversy arose over a conflict of investigative authority when the Seoul Southern District Prosecutors’ Office, which had taken over the case from financial authorities, directed the Financial Supervisory Service’s special judicial police team to take over the investigation. my question in the post tt sounds kinda confusing (had to get to the 40 characters lol): Kpop hits that shouldve not been a hit topic inspired by this post i saw on a pop music forum but it made me think of itzy ik sneakers was a massive hit in korea but it is part of the reason their international fanbase abandoned. they have yet to recover. even tho it was a hit in korea, they havent had a hit since and their international streaming numbers went down massively (loco released before sneakers: 293 mil streams => songs after sneakers: chesire - 116 mil, cake - 92 mil, untouchable - 65 mil, gold - 21 mil... just decline but tbf their newest song is doing decent 11 mil streams in a month) was wondering if there have been other groups where a hit tore them apart... mb the 5050 mess mb bts english stuff cuz it lead them to put out average english stuff instead of prioritizing the korean i was going to say BP ddu-du ddu-du which led them to recreate the same multiple times but tbf i like all versions even the 2.0/3.0s submitted by /u/Major-Specialist3658 [link] [comments]
Ive (An Yu-jin, Ga-eul, Lay, Jang Won-young, Liz, Lee Seo) will return in August. On the 24th, his agency Starship Entertainment announced the news of his comeback, saying, “Ive is gearing up for full-scale preparations with the goal of making a comeback at the end of August.” This comeback comes about 7 months after the release of their third mini-album 'IVE EMPATHY' in February. At that time, IV recorded initial sales (album sales for the first week after release) of over 1.04 million copies, becoming a 5-time million seller, and proved their strong music power by achieving a 'Perfect All-Kill (PAK)' on major domestic music charts with their pre-released song 'REBEL HEART'. In addition, Ive won 11 and 4 crowns on music shows with "Level Heart" and the title track "ATTITUDE," respectively, setting a record of 15 crowns for a new album. In particular, "Level Heart" has been on Billboard's "Global (Excluding the U.S.)" chart for 10 consecutive weeks, and was also selected for the recently announced "The 25 Best K-Pop Songs of 2025 (So Far): Critic's Picks," showing off its global prowess. By performing on the main stage of 'Lollapalooza Berlin' on the 12th and 'Lollapalooza Paris' on the 20th, Ive set an unusual record of being the first K-pop girl group to perform at 'Lollapalooza' in three cities for two consecutive years. With their high-quality live performances and excellent stage presence, Ive earned the nickname 'Trustworthy K-Pepper' (festival performance) by drawing enthusiastic cheers from local audiences, and is expected to continue that energy through this comeback. Since their debut in 2021, Ive has built their team identity of 'self-confidence' and 'subjective self-confidence' centered on the message that 'true love begins with loving yourself'. While maintaining their original color, they have constantly attempted musical variations by drawing connections with various genres, and through the previous 'Ive Empathy', they expanded 'self-love' into 'empathy' toward others, drawing sympathy and acclaim from music fans with a more mature narrative and deeper message. Ive, who has brought fresh shocks with each album with a direction and concept that no one could have predicted. People are paying attention to what kind of new transformation they will show through this comeback as they have expanded their own narrative without fearing change and challenge. Meanwhile, Ive will participate in the first match of the '2025 Coupang Play Series' between Team K League and Newcastle United (hereinafter referred to as 'Newcastle') on the 30th and will perform on the opening and halftime stages. submitted by /u/Uchiha_D_Zoro [link] [comments]

I tried blocking someone on reddit but it made all posts disappear, I kind of block people really easily esp if I find out they're older than me or if I see things priced weirdly but that makes entire comment links posts go away is this normal on reddit or should I stop blocking people. submitted by /u/uchacothrow [link] [comments]
I have never been to any type of concert in my life. Blackpink was in my area, but I didn't go but I still got to hear their voices inside of my house because I live near the stadium I also saw some fireworks where they were performing but I wish I can actually see them too. but I'm broke and was busy with work. 😭😭😭 What's it like going to Blackpink's concert? submitted by /u/SatisfactionAdept548 [link] [comments]

This is just a fun little art project I do to use as freebies for concerts. I currently have these 3 sets completed and am working on a couple others. submitted by /u/deanthequeen [link] [comments]

My parents had their own bands ans fav artists, even had similar haircuts because it was stylish when they were younger and the fans hype was big. Mind you, this has been going on for years, I'm an adult now and she still does it... Whenever I want to buy an album (I have 0 for that same reason) PC, download a picture, draw them, have lyrics or pics as my wallpaper she'll go "who's that? Celebrity? Kpop? Are you worshipping them? Stop it!! Stop worshipping, you should be drawing your family/put them as wallpapers instead!!!" "(Albums) thats just a bunch of colored papers, what's so special about owning it? You don't need it" I don't know, why would you own a painting? Its just a colorful paper. Maybe I want to stare at it, put it on a shelf, have an hobby, collection? Idk not everything needs a "why"... This is pretty stupid but since kpop demon hunter came out I've been STRESSING because if they hear about it they'll go " literal DEMONS!!! LOOK AT THIS! they made a movie about your kpop music with DEMONS! STEAL SOULS!"... "your idol" song is my greatest enemy, it's pushing the worship agenda helppp loll I'm just tired, everyone out there seems to have their walls covered in posters, wallpaper and pfp's of their favorite groups/bias, making and posting art of them, learning choreographies and meeting other fans. Meanwhile I can't do any of that 'cause I'm still living under my parent's roof. I feel lonely, I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing the same thing rn? PS: I'm not a crazy or delusional fan, never acted like one, I really don't see what could be considering "worship" here... If I had an unhealthy obsession okay, but I don't. it's unfair. submitted by /u/HighKey-Anonymous [link] [comments]
