I’m not even a fan of aespa but knowing that that girl gets a lot of hate from dating rumors is just very upsetting. I know that kpop idols get dating rumors every single day, especially Jungkook who is basically dating every single idol based on the rumors. But now that the rumor is just so bad, it doesn’t hurt to just come up with a statement denying the rumors or do something about it to protect both idols. I don’t get why Jungkook, hybe or sm would even stay quiet as if it’s not something concerning their idols at all. If the rumors aren’t true then just deny it and say they’re just friends or anything to prevent those obsessed fans from sending death threats to Winter. I feel so sorry for her and what she has go through just because of some dating rumors. I’m also scared for her because bullying is such a huge issue that can make people do unwanted things. With how many idols are struggling it scares me that it might get to her as well. And even if the rumors are true then they definitely need to do something about it because why aren’t they protecting each other from the hate knowing how bad it’ll be anyway? Jungkook shouldn’t have kept things lowkey instead of fuelling the rumors by going to aespa’s concert. It’s also the shippers’ fault for shipping them and coming up with all those conspiracies but I feel like Jungkook could have just not do something that will affect Winter knowing his fandom is so toxic. I’m kinda disappointed with Jungkook for not speaking up about the whole issue. He’s known to be someone who always breaks the rules, doing lives without his company’s permission yet he can’t say something about the rumors even if it’s getting out of hand? Even Jungwon had the guts to say something about it as he knows how bad it was yet someone who is bigger in the industry and the company won’t say anything about it at all? I love K-pop, but I do get confused by idols and how they want to either censor or not show themselves because of how they will look to the public. Now, I’m not talking about serious reasons. Those, I somewhat get. I mean the more causal and confusing points. I mainly watch a lot of girl K-pop groups and I have noticed how they cannot for reasons unknown, be on camera if they have no make up or no contact lenses or they must have a jacket over their shirt or tank top. I have seen these same idols wear hair rollers, face masks, and even caked on makeup for laughs but the idea of not wearing makeup, no filter, or no contacts is horrific. The need for modesty but they can dance sexually and wear outfits that reveal much more than what they wear to swimming pools or pajamas or workout outfits. The need to hide tattoos or cuss yet they can grind each other or even dance almost like they are strippers. They MUST have a blanket over their lap when they sit in interviews because of the shorts or skirt is too short yet the company allows them to be worn while they dance. This is by no way a hate, negative, or disrespectful in any way, but a lot of the rules or actions seem to contradict a lot of what they allow.
