heyyy~ so i finally gave in and made a k-pop edit channel on youtube lol. it’s super new and i’m kinda figuring it out as i go, but if you’re into edits, idol aesthetics, drama clips, or just wanna support a fellow k-pop mess, come check it out just wanna reach the right people who actually like the content. if you vibe with it, drop a like or sub, i’ll love you forever 😭 also open to recs, feedback, or just making edit buddies. submitted by /u/psychedelic_8591 [link] [comments]
I actually like the company for KISS OF LIFE (S2 entertainment). They never argued with the shows that kicked KIOF out but knew what KIOF did was bad and accepted it. Also S2 ENTERTAINMENT was the first to apologise very quickly. I have also come to like STARSHIP ENTERTAINMENT although their staff for IVE is bad and their promotions absolutely suck i think the thing i like is their stylist for KIIIKIII. Its so cute and age appropriate!! submitted by /u/Top-Owl4039 [link] [comments]

I know this is a big claim to say. But its what i personally see. So please do note, most stays are great, many friends i have are stays and I personally like straykids also alot. But this is a thing that happens to many groups that get big, like bts or blackpink. That when you get so many fans, which all those groups deserve, their will be more bad fans cus their are more fans. What i have seen tho recently more and more eis some very toxic stays. Like on a video, not related to straykids at all, about haruto from treasure covering bigbang, bang bang bang. He coverd T.O.P rap part and the video was just saying, wow haruto rap is so good. And the comments were just praise for haruto. Some dreamcatcher fans commenting on how haruto and dami both did great. But some stays went into the comments and not being to nice. They said things like: no straykids did it better, Straykids raps way better, Why dont you mention straykids. Like get you like straykids. BUT THIS VIDEO WANST ABOUT THEM. their are so many videos about straykids cover of bang bang bang, no treasure makers go their and be mean. Then on a video i just saw it was even crazier. The video was about idols making fin of their ceo's, just for laughs ofc. And it mentioned itzy, nmixx and treasure. And half the comments were stays saying that straykids did this and it was so much more funny, that straykids should be mentioned and so on. Just chill guys, not every video needs straykids. And let some other groups also have a moment. Yes many other groups also did this, like babymonster and blackpink and yes also straykids. Ofc no hate to all the stays out there. But i just wanted to talk about this, cus we cant keep saying amry and blinks always be hatefull when other fandome's do the same. And its not straykids fault, nor the stays. Its because when a fandome is langer the group of bad fans also gets lager submitted by /u/lilgreen13789 [link] [comments]

BIGHIT’s latest statement should be a wake-up call, but somehow, we’ve seen this same pattern over and over. A BTS member’s home was nearly broken into. Let that sink in. Someone tried to physically enter their house. This isn’t “passionate fandom.” It’s obsession, it’s delusion, and it’s criminal. There’s this twisted idea in some corners of the K-pop world that loving an idol gives you permission to follow them everywhere, record them without consent, leak their locations, or track their families. That’s not love. That’s control. That’s entitlement. And anyone who engages in or defends that kind of behavior is actively harming the very people they claim to support. Idols are not dolls in a display case. They are human beings with boundaries that must be respected. The fact that this even needs to be said in 2025 is exhausting. Fame does not mean forfeiting your right to safety or peace of mind. Being an idol doesn’t mean you “owe” fans access to your private life. No one does. And let’s stop sugarcoating the sasaeng issue. It's not quirky. It’s not a fandom trope. It's stalking. It’s harassment. It’s abuse. And too often, it’s ignored or enabled by people who think “real fans go further.” No. Real fans know when to stop. If you truly care about an artist, you don’t hurt them. You don’t traumatize them. You don’t make them feel unsafe in their own home. What happened here is terrifying and what’s worse is that it’s not even rare anymore. It’s time the K-pop community takes this seriously. This behavior is not part of the culture. It’s a threat to the people who give us their art, their time, and their energy. The bare minimum we owe them is respect. submitted by /u/Seesawey [link] [comments]

Okay hear me out before you come for my wig 👀 I’m not saying they’re the biggest or most awarded — I’m saying when it comes to pure skill (vocals, dance, stage, musical risk-taking), LOONA and NMIXX are on a whole different tier. LOONA is literally “The 12-member group with zero filler” who was mismanaged by their company. I mean.. Their subunit system (1/3, OEC, yyxy) was designed to showcase each member’s strength before debut — and it worked. Vocals? Kim Lip, Chuu, Jinsoul, Yves, Haseul, etc. are all main vocal level. Dancers? Olivia Hye, Heejin, Yves, and Yeojin go toe-to-toe with elite dancers in the industry. The choreography for “Butterfly” and “Paint The Town”? Sharp, emotional, visually stunning. They tackle concepts other groups wouldn’t dare touch — ethereal, experimental, layered. They weren’t built for virality — they were built for longevity and artistry. If they had SM or HYBE backing? Game over. Plus +++++ NMIXX “The 4th-gen group with main vocals only” yk Lily, Haewon, and Sullyoon are not just stable. They’re powerhouse vocalists who could carry solos easily. MR-removed performances? They slay. No excuses, no backing track crutches. Their music is weird AF (especially debut era) — but that’s what makes them impressive. “O.O” and “Dice” are like musical obstacle courses. Kyujin and Jiwoo are top-tier dancers — clean, powerful, and expressive. They’re still rookies, but they perform like they’ve been around for years. If K-pop was judged purely by SKILL and not sales/hype, these two would dominate every “Top 5” list. Fight me in the comments if you want, but deep down you know I’m right. submitted by /u/codegreen22 [link] [comments]
I honestly don’t care that idols have gotten plastic surgery done, and I don’t know why people are making such a big deal out of it. (Like whole social media accounts analysing what idols did surgery or not) The K-pop industry puts the emphasis on being attractive, and it is is so normalized in Korea that I just don’t find it shocking that artists have gotten some surgery done at some point in their careers. (Although, I think that there are some very valid criticisms and societal commentaries made about plastic surgery). submitted by /u/New_Mall_6773 [link] [comments]
I used to follow comeback scheduels very closely and by the time the album/single was out it was just another song and I wasn't very excited to hear it because I already know how the songs sounds like, and if I decided to buy the album I would listen to it maybe 1-2 times and look at the photobook once because I saw the concept photos before and there was nothing new for me. So when IU announced that she's making a comeback (great album) I decided to take a different approach and avoided any spoiler: no conept photos, no highlight medely, I didn't even know the song titles until the my order arrived today. Nothing. I wanted to buy the album and be surprise for real. I wanted to take a risk and maybe get dissappointed (Impossible). I didn't listen to kpop at all, it wasn't intentional, it just happened, first week was difficult because it was a big change for me, but the next weeks were better (thanks to The Kinks and The Beatles and all the other amazing bands). Today morning the delivery guy woke me up and I got the package and I was so happy!! I waited so long and I never thought I could but I did it. I'm not sure I'll do it again to this extent but it was an experiment, and the songs do sound better after a long break. Anyway I missed a month full of comebacks so please tell me about your favorites. submitted by /u/GeorgeParisol [link] [comments]
