Ew trump. I do not support any misogynistic, white nationalist, incel, hitler-like (esp. Musk), racists at all and neither does this sub and apparently neither does reddit as a site as a whole. He stands against everything Kpop stands for which is an art form from a formerly colonized people from a country that is rising up against colonialism and hatred. Anyone who comments anything negative to this, or tries to defend that orange guy will be banned permanently. Go somewhere else, we don't want your lower kind here. I swear I can’t even remember the last time I even made a comment in a Kpop community, even then I never sent hate to “newjeans” like I might’ve commented on those megatreads about their case but I never directly sent hate to them. Like I’m just confused in how out of the blue it is😂 swear tbe most random notification I got on Reddit ever. submitted by /u/Unknownredtreelog [link] [comments]

I am not looking for bad high notes that ruin the song or anything, just completely pointless ones. Its ok if they are in the background. submitted by /u/SnooOranges829 [link] [comments]

5. Just another day of mnet being shitty

  • 1 hour ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Mnet blatantly plagiarised ateez with the poster, the song rhythm and even the performance the graffiti artist who made the poster is aware about this even the atee members are aware about it but mnet still hasn't said anything how ironic they invited san as a judge...it seems like ateez are real pirates always getting their treasure stolen 😭 submitted by /u/Photosbyblinks [link] [comments]

6. Getting into jpop brought back my love for idols

  • 2 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

i want to add a disclaimer that this is not a “pitting kpop and jpop against each other” kind of post. I just recently have been going thru this shift so I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced it or something similar!! I’m a longtime kpop fan and have been since 2013. The past couple years as kpop has become more and more popular in western circles, I’ve been shifting with the new groups and changes that come about. But I (and I know others, based off posts i’ve seen lately) have felt kind of turned-off to kpop recently due to how intense the international fandom space has become. Everything has felt like a competition, groups fans all hate each other, the importance on streams… I didn’t think too much on this until I accidentally started getting into jpop groups (HANA, Snow Man, etc) this year and it brought back so much nostalgia that i realized I’d been missing from kpop lately. The smaller international fan space has been really nice, it feels like when I was 15 and just getting into exo, digging through livejournal on my own for fansub content 😭. I find that opinions are also not as combatted and attacked because there’s a) simply less ifans to read them and b) there’s still at least some sense of politeness in the tight-knit fandom communities. I’m also enjoying less emphasis on things like perfect visuals and vocals/performances all the time. Now, with fashion week, i’ve noticed that a lot of the japanese groups are attending shows and doing more international schedules!! What I wanted to ask is, has anyone been experiencing a similar shift? Is it possible jpop could come back as a popular genre/stanning space, influenced by k-pop’s growth this time? It seems like certain groups are definitely growing, and doing more and more overlap with kpop events (for example, snow man is going to perform at the music bank intl festival in japan as a special guest!). I know filo-pop is also experiencing growth, and I’d love to know more about the fandom experience there too! submitted by /u/sunveines [link] [comments]

7. Kpop releases this year are kinda dry and i miss 2023-2024

  • 2 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

DON’T GET ME WRONG, there’s been some good releases this year but there hasn’t been a single release that has my jaw DROPPED (compared to last year especially). I will take in account that we are only in september but I feel like there should’ve been more than 3 really really good releases by now but there haven’t 🤷🏾‍♀️. 2024 (and 2023) was definitely better in terms of music. I can name like at least 5 (in fact way more) Kpop songs that had me like speechless: Supernova, Armageddon, Supernatural, How Sweet, Heya, Accendio, Impossible, Supersonic, Cosmic, Magnetic, Tick Tack, APT, Rockstar, Mantra, TTYL, Super Lady, CRAZY, Loop and i know there’s way more but man we had SERIOUS and SOLID HITS last year. But this year like the only wowing releases were Like Jennie and literally KPDH. The rest are just meh. Other good releases or groups in general that wowed me imo were Jellyous, ADP and Cortis. The only group that I’m probably gonna keep on my list this year is Cortis, they are already amazing and i pray that their next comeback will also be as good as this debut era. You probably will guess how I feel about aespa. NewJeans is in court but they would’ve guaranteed a good release let’s be real 💔 and IVE was also pretty good tbh. But it’s very disappointing for me because last year i liked about 85% of releases. This year I’m gonna say i only liked about 20% of releases. It could also be that maybe I’m not stanning the right groups but I never usually just hang tight to one group I listen to most releases, even from groups i don’t stan. 2023 kpop was so peak but also lowkey peaceful like man i miss it so bad 😭💔 And i feel like people are gonna name nugu groups and i’m so so sorry but there’s a reason why certain groups are or are going to stay nugu and there’s a reason why certain groups are big and are going to stay big. Anyways 2023-2024 definitely raised my standards but I will keep in mind that we still have 3 months of this year left and i know certain groups are yet to have a comeback (BND, Lsrfm and probably more). So I will still keep myself open but i’m still quite disappointed and only have an ounce of hope for this year. Am I just not listening to enough groups or do you agree? submitted by /u/Head-Surprise-3156 [link] [comments]

10. Is it fair to expect visible improvement from idols post-debut?

  • 2 hours ago schedule
  • reddit.com language

Am I being too harsh for judging idols negatively when they don’t show any visible improvement after debut? I get that most idols have really tough schedules, but I don’t think it’s impossible to hone your skills post debut. We’ve seen plenty of idols make steady improvements over the years, and some even make leaps and bounds. But when I see veteran idols who still show no noticeable growth in vocals or dance, it honestly turns me off. Maybe I'm being harsh, but I can’t help but feel like it shows a lack of professionalism and work ethic. Does anyone else feel the same way, or is it better to just view idols as a finished product once they debut? submitted by /u/GainImpressive8183 [link] [comments]

12. UNDERRATED SONG FINDS (GIRL GROUP EDITION) PT. 1 + Review

DIA 다이아 - 그 길에서 (On the road) Review: A nostalgic, heartfelt, cutesy song which might be written with a PINK Pen 🩷 I remember so many memories while finding this song at the deepest trench in my mind lol. This was DIA's signature. This song reminds us what KPOP's cute side was like back then. Similar to some GFRIEND and LOVELYZ songs, this song is a no-brainer good, too. From the positive instrumental it gives, to the wonderful melodies, it truly captivates the listener's heart. The MV is so simple and authentic. It is bright and dreamy at the same time. Member's visuals are on top. The MV locations are pretty. The choreo is pure and cute. My nickname for DIA back then is "Fairies of KPOP" (✿^‿^) My personal rate: 9.5/10 Rarity: 6/10 Write your own opinion 🩷 submitted by /u/bossbaby_shushu [link] [comments]

13. What are the second and third tier k-pop companies?

  • 3 hours ago schedule

What would you consider second and third tier companies within the k-pop sphere? Obviously, the Big 4 (Hybe, JYP, SM, YG) are first tier to me since they make the most money and seem to have the most influence within the industry, but I'd like to hear what others think about second and third tier companies? submitted by /u/Super-Package-8564 [link] [comments]

Undoubtedly the best soloist of 3rd gen . I'm like this percent sure someone was born because of " mmhh" ( idk the accurate spelling so i apologise in advance if I'm wrong) I just made this post to appreciate his talent .
