BoA was on Hyo's variety program and discussed her position at SM as a director now and what role she plays with NCT Wish. Initially, people were skeptical about how much she actually contributed because she didnt have any producing credits on their music but according to her, she is in charge of their overall production. She oversees the production of their album, confirming the track list, mixing, approves their choreographies, and their overall concept (which has clearly been a success i dont even think SM was expecting). She even has an office now at SM where she oversees all of this work and holds meetings. She also "nags" the members, sends them to vocal lessons and has developed a comfortable relationship with the members that attributes to her storied career and history in Japan. The interview was actually super interesting. Im not a huge BOA fan, mostly just have respect for her career and the work she put in as a literal child to get SM off the ground and established in JAPAN and how she pioneered kpop idols successfully promoting there. I think this new pathway of senior, specifically female idols, transitioning into director positions and producing new groups is really cool. Who would you like to see in this role? I want female idols to have longevity in the industry and i think this is a great balance. Even for male idols I think this is a great transition...i know Suho is working his way up there lol I think JayB would be an excellent director and then Namjoon/RM. Please don’t attack me. :,( I feel like some people will attack me for my observations and asking this question. Just know that I am very genuine about asking this because it’s disheartening for me to see. If your going into this post coming to attack me I recommend you not reading or interacting bc I’m simply asking a question and I’ve taken time to notice that asking questions like this may get me disowned. Again, if you’re going to get sensitive about this I don’t want you interacting. Im an old army and I honestly haven’t kept up with KPOP in years. Like I listened to bts for 3 years than left completely (personal reasons) than now for the last few months I’ve been getting back into BTS and I’ve really started to love skzThe fandom is completely different from when I first came into it. It’s kinda sad for me because it’s a space I used to spend so much time in now all people do is hate or worry about streams.I was having a discussion with some of my online army friends and I mentioned a few things about skz and than suddenly chaos abrupted. Littterally shaming me for liking skz bc that’s somehow not what armies do? Like two of them Stan other boy group but suddenly when I say I like stray kids that’s a problem? How does that make sense? They all blocked me. Not only that, but when I got more into SKZ, I started to see more ARMY completely hate on the group on apps like TikTok or Instagram. It only led me to believe a few things about the fandom I’m in today, and I kind of feel bittersweet about it.Can someone tell me why the army are so against stray kids but are fine with most other groups? I noticed on videos with idols from different groups, ARMY would only target SKZ members and nobody else.Did Stray Kids do something to BTS that I don’t know about? Or what? It’s really confusing for me because never in my life as a K-pop stan have I seen any fandom hate that much. It was appalling when comparing it to my first few years. :( submitted by /u/No_Big4565 [link] [comments]
An example: Red Velvet ot4, yesterday I was on Pinterest and suddenly I find photos of Red Velvet without Joy. They cropped the image by removing Joy, I think I once found they cropped the image by removing Irene. The same thing happens in many groups, I think I saw the same but with Blackpink. It must be exhausting to be a fan of a group that usually has all the members but you ignore or remove one. Oh... I remembered that when I watch old NCT content I completely ignore Jaeil and focus on the others, but at least that's understandable. submitted by /u/Separate-Comedian-25 [link] [comments]

*By the way this is about 4th gen boygroups This is not a hate post of any kind and I'm and engene as well but recently I've also been following other groups. I've noticed that in general, the trends of their album sales on various platforms (mostly this) as well as streams and popularity of songs seems to be going in a general slightly dropping trends. However, ENHYPEN has never really been affected by this, and they've even managed to keep growing their fanbase since there's always something that makes them semi viral? (mind you they're almost 5 years old already!) As an engene of course im so so happy but im curious, why is that so? All of their albums are doing better than the ones before and even their Japanese albums manage to break records after records. I'm just wondering what could be the reason for such success, and (if possible) how it would be to try to recreate this effect in other groups? submitted by /u/Ikniszyo1 [link] [comments]
It first popped up on my pinterest feed and then I got “wonyoungism playlist” recommended on yt so now I’m curious. Is the objective to simply become a better version of ourselves? Based on what I’ve seen this feels like an old tumblr ed promoting content repackaged as coquette 🎀, but I’d like to believe we’ve changed haha As a 2nd/3rd gen stan I have very minimal knowledge on recent groups (I know who she is and enjoy some of their songs, but that’s about it), so I apologize if this is a grossly outdated trend! submitted by /u/shiomusubi [link] [comments]
I think Irene is really underrated for her dancing skills... Like she manages to cope up with Seulgi and did try few different dance forms..... submitted by /u/No_Name_5907 [link] [comments]

While no one has clearly stated how it looks like physically, those who managed to get close enough agree that it sounds beautiful. One of the witnesses shared the footage on Youtube: https://youtu.be/QrIJJ9pC2NI?si=lpPj86Uhul-8ooIP submitted by /u/UncannyMelody [link] [comments]
Personally as a zerose since boys planet it's hurts me so badly knowing that they would be separated, it's gonna be like izone all over again, I would still support them but I would still be devastated.. submitted by /u/hearts4him_ [link] [comments]
This is more of an online issue more than a real life issue in my experience, but it really annoys me when " fans " of groups get mad or even attack other fans when a group or soloist does a mature concept for their songs. I feel like it's a part of the problem with some people in fandoms babying their idols and treating them like children when they are grown adults, especially older gen. The amount of comments I see under post thinking a idol is hot or shares clips of the mature song MVs and there will always be that group of fans that complains that you're sexualizing them. Or when am idol perfoms in a manner thats mature, they'll say that they're doing too much. I sometimes see this get brought up for the waterbomb festival. These same people will get mad that idols and fans have consensual flirting when meeting during lives, meet and greets, etc saying that the fans are sexualizing them when the adult idol will literally be engaging with the interaction with a respectful adult fan. I feel like this also ties into a subsection of kpop fans who do not like idols getting older, older fans, and want idols to stay innocent children forever. submitted by /u/MochaMilku [link] [comments]
